Delicious food, laid back atmosphere, would definitely come back

Last night, intrigued by the new management, we chose to dine at Normanno. Initially, the menu seemed clear but not particularly original, rather "touristy": convincing, reassuring. The place is very welcoming, with simple, nautical-style furnishings, a real home-from-home, family feel. The first positive note, for me, was the open kitchen, which I really like because it allows you to see what's happening and how the chefs work. The owner, Carlo, welcomed us and let us choose where to sit, even though the place was quite crowded, both inside and out (they have a nice outdoor area, very charming in this very typical, central street of Cefalù). For the menu, we took his advice: for starters, we chose the Mazara prawn tartare with drops of citrus sauce and pink peppercorns (a true delicacy 🙌🏻), and a classic caponata, plated with a basil reduction... our taste buds celebrated!! For the first course, spaghetti with seafood was delicious: the crustaceans and mollusks were truly appreciated. I had the Sicilian mussel soup... delicious 👏🏻, with a lovely smooth, bold flavor that confirmed their renowned quality, not to mention the accompanying basil reduction: I literally cleaned the plate 😋😋😋. Finally, we had the sardines alla beccafico with caramelized red onions... what more could I ask, delicious (with the sweet onion, the sardines pair divinely). To accompany it, a sparkling wine offered by the owner, which accompanied us throughout our tasting. This seemingly simple dinner left its mark, clearing up some initial doubts, due to a very simple menu, which almost overshadows the truly excellent cuisine and service. The dining room staff, all young, were very good: always smiling and very professional, present without ever being intrusive. We'll definitely be back and will recommend it to all our friends and acquaintances. As the owner mentioned, the restaurant, which was recently taken over a few months ago (2025), is still a work in progress, but believe me, you won't be disappointed; in fact, I bet you'll want to return. I'm currently vacationing in Sicily with my boyfriend, and we chose this restaurant because it serves a lot of fish dishes. My boyfriend had cozze and fries, and I had spaghetti allo scoglio, and we thought it was excellent! The ambiance is lovely, the service is excellent, and the tiramisu for dessert is one of the best I've had. I highly recommend it to everyone!

Within walking distance of our apartment, recommended by ChatGPT, this restaurant was a real gem! The tables on the outdoor terrace were a bit close together, but that didn't spoil the fun. We had friendly people from England next to us who recommended a delicious wine. The waiter was truly knowledgeable and shared his knowledge with us in a welcoming, almost entertaining way. It was a shame they were closed the next day; otherwise, we would have made another reservation!

Whether for a relaxed dinner or a special gathering – this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

A pleasant dinner experience, with very polite and attentive staff. Excellent food, and the dishes arrived on time. We had mussels as an appetizer and two first courses, both excellent fish. The atmosphere was quiet and the street was quiet. Highly recommended.

Schönes Restaurant in einer Seitenstraße. Unser Kellner hat uns eine Weinempfehlung für einen Rose gegeben, der uns sehr gut schmeckte. Zur Vorspeise gab es Malanzzane al Parmigiani. Super gut. Zum Hauptgericht hatte ich Spagehtti mit Meeresfrüchten. Das hat mir, obwohl ich eigentlich keine Muscheln esse, sehr gut geschmeckt. Alles in Allem bin ich sehr zufrieden gewesen. Vielen Dank

Locale accogliente in una delle vie più caratteristiche della meravigliosa Cefalù cibo fresco e di ottima qualità con piatti ricercati e abbondanti unito alla gentilezza di tutto lo staff e alla disponibilità di Carlo il proprietario. Consiglio pranzo/cena
