04/05/2026: AMAZING. FANTASTIC staff and excellent food: Spiga d'Oro is the true gem of Torpigna. They won't bully you if, in German fashion, you order a cappuccino with red "scrocchie" ;) and... everyone gathers here for coffee, far from the gentrification that has affected other places, in a melting pot that includes elderly gentlemen full of stories and dog biscuits, writers, local women who come for a chat, systems engineers and mathematicians, doctors, ex-convicts, a wonderful Peruvian family with a child dressed as a teddy bear, Japanese people passing through, teenagers in existential crisis to whom the staff offers advice and support. The guy who wrote the negative review because of the dogs was angry with me and for personal reasons; he obviously wanted to blame the place rather than the person. However, he did give rise to this reflection: at Spigardoro, it's true that everyone loves dogs and that they are welcome and pampered. Sisto and Buffy the Vampire Slayer take this opportunity to thank Cinzia and Silvio (they know why) and say hello. OWNERS, COME ON! :) PS: They come from all over Rome for the croissants here.
18/04/2026: Good food, definitely, and the pastries aren't bad...
But unfortunately, more than once I've noticed a lack of attention to cleanliness, with white pizza thrown everywhere, even sitting on bags 🤦 and no, that's not good.... You don't mess around with food.... Good bread, I must say.... But again, more attention to hygiene....
A quick word about the service... Often a little inattentive...
