Nice ice cream, but not of the kind that deserves to be praised, as far as I'm concerned. Small portion too. Service was slow. So okay if you're passing through, but not exactly worth a detour.

I stopped by Carla's out of curiosity and word of mouth. A fantastic experience. One of the best gelatos I've ever tasted. You can really taste the flavor, the aroma, the scents of the origins of the products used...only top-quality stuff... If you're in Rome, absolutely stop by CAPRICCIO DI CARLA... It's worth it...

We had to wait around 20 minutes in a que as they got only one girl behind counter serving icecream and doing cashier. Gelato has great taste, however for that price you can find better and bigger. We paid 14.5€ for 4 scopes and that is not worth it.

My girlfriend and I ended up here by chance. I had two scoops of nocciolata and vanilla in a cup for €3.50. The ice cream was delicious, the woman at the counter was friendly, and we were able to sit down for a while.

21/02/2026: Great experience, excellent products (cured meats, bread, and cheeses) and friendly staff
04/02/2026: Everything was truly delicious, with a special mention for the duck, which was exceptional (perfectly cooked, accompanied by delicious puntarelle), and the wine as well (we had a bottle of Umbrian red, Promiscu). But, unfortunately, we probably spent too much for the portions and what we actually ate—a shame.

03/05/2026: A wonderful restaurant. The food was delicious, but what surprised me most was the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. The dishes were tailored to our preferences, the service was impeccable, and the food itself was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The restaurant is clean, the decor is well-thought-out, and the atmosphere among the staff is fantastic. The best restaurant of my entire week-long stay in Rome. You can tell the owner puts his heart into his business. I highly recommend it if you’re visiting the Vatican, and even if you’re not, it’s still worth stopping by Osteria
