09/03/2026: Absolutely avoid this place! I gave the service one star because I can't give less! The staff is incredibly rude. I've never seen a customer treated like that! After waiting an hour and a half for our food, we complained. They should have at least told us when we sat down, and we were met with extremely rude comments. The owner even spoke rudely. Have you ever seen anything like that in a restaurant? Avoid like the plague!

01/10/2025: The restaurant is located on the road from the beach. The sign says they also offer gluten-free pizza, which we were looking forward to. We planned to have lunch or dinner here. When we got there, they told us they don't do gluten-free pizza... You can imagine the disappointment and the quick search for an alternative.

12/09/2025: It could have been so beautiful... As so often, the beautiful ambiance attracts guests. In a back courtyard and away from the crowds of the city center, somewhat hidden yet right in the center. Just stay away from this restaurant. It was abysmal. I've eaten a lot of Italian food, but here both the chef and the waiter fail, and no one takes responsibility for complaints. The pesto was disgustingly slimy, the ham pizza had a revolting odor, so we barely managed five bites. We didn't take anything with us, but left everything. This "fun" cost us €50. Never again! Definitely stay away!

11/08/2025: Siamo stati a cene nella serata della paella. Purtroppo abbiamo mangiato male. Il riso sembrava cotto 2 volte ed il pesce purtroppo non sembrava fresco e non era cucinato bene. Gli scampi ed i gamberi non si sgusciavano e le cozze erano dure. Peccato, puo' capitare,ma vedersi arrivare poi un conto di 103 € per 3 paelle,mezzo litro di acqua,una birra piccola ed uno spritz mi sembra esagerato. Il servizio sufficiente pur non essendoci praticamente nessun altro, volevamo il dessert,ma siamo andati via perche' stanchi di aspettare che ritornasse qualcuno al tavolo.

08/09/2025: After a bike ride from Ca' Corniani, curious about the place, we stopped at Ristorante Dal Mercantin for lunch. We chose a fish appetizer, French fries, and a mixed salad, all accompanied by a glass of still white wine: simple, well-prepared, and perfect after a ride. The atmosphere is very pleasant: the restaurant is surrounded by greenery and exudes tranquility, ideal for those who want to escape the chaos of the more crowded areas. The option of arriving by boat is also interesting, a detail that makes it even more unique. Friendly service and reasonable prices. An excellent stop for those who love combining sports, nature, and good food.

14/09/2025: I was happy to be in a beautiful place, with the pleasure of letting my girls relive the joy of running and jumping on a golf green; they grew up partly at the Albenza Golf Club, Bergamo. Yesterday I asked permission to let them enjoy this pleasure again, and it was granted. So today we returned, my wife and I sitting down to enjoy coffee and a wonderful Cleopatra, which is hard to find, and the girls, respecting the rule of taking off their shoes and not entering where there were golfers, were enjoying a pleasure they had experienced in the past. Out of the blue, an unkind "lady" appeared and, ignoring the parents, began yelling at the girls, in a really rude way, by the way. When I explained that I had obtained permission, she began to rage at me too, lacking the courage to respond to my polite and clear words, but also a little nervous given the permission she had obtained, railing against two minors who were not responsible for what their father had allowed them. I can understand the end-of-season tiredness, but I cannot accept the rudeness shown towards two minors, who were polite and kind. I was tempted to call the authorities, but I held back; I'm on vacation. Highly discouraged, especially given the lack of care taken in the place.

09/09/2025: Good food—both pizza and pasta. Unfortunately, one of the four pizzas had quite a few burnt spots—a shame, but we'd happily come back.

19/09/2025: We're not sure if it's the chef's incompetence or the ingredients aren't fresh. Simple dishes take a long time. We won't be back. The atmosphere is so-so. We were put off by the fact that it's on Porto Santa Margherita's main street.

07/09/2025: Pizza/pasta/meat dishes are good. I wouldn't recommend the burgers. The staff is friendly and the food is quick.

20/09/2025: Food without seasoning, salt, pepper, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar was not offered. The size of the dishes could have easily been served as an appetizer. Three waiters milled around, but no one asked if everything was okay or if we needed anything else. It was very expensive by far, and we expected better.

25/08/2025: We enter the bar and order takeaway toast, and in the meantime, my 9-year-old son goes to the bathroom. I hear him screaming, I run, and he's stuck in the bathroom door. I ask the owner for help, and he manages to force the door open. He immediately tells me the door is broken, and I'll charge the child for it. He asked for €50 for ID. He'll call back in the late afternoon to let us know the actual cost. €35 without an invoice, without a receipt. Note that the door could already be defective; a 9-year-old doesn't have the strength of an adult. In that case, I called the local police. The law says that if a property is broken, the insured owner is responsible for fixing it. If anyone has experienced something similar with the bathroom door, I'd like to know, because what's right is right. For the rest, I hope these "GENTLEMEN" do their job well and don't STEAL from people like that. It's fantastic, they wanted to be right at all costs. As they say, the wheel turns. I hope so. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

25/08/2025: One of the few places where the owner (his son) would come out to ask guests if everything was okay. I really appreciated this gesture. We had delicious gelato and beautifully presented sundaes. We'll definitely be back to try the very inviting sandwiches.

08/03/2026: We waited an hour for pasta that was too salty, other customers had the same problem. We definitely won't be back.

24/01/2026: I've known this place for over 20 years. The food is always good, and the staff are very kind and friendly. Unfortunately, they've changed management and aren't up to par, and the prices are high. The old owners have moved to the center of Porto Santa Margherita.
