01/02/2026: Undoubtedly one of the best slow food restaurants I've ever seen. Kudos also to Moreno's friendliness and his son Fabio's mastery in the kitchen. Local, organic ingredients are expertly prepared and slow-cooked to enhance their flavors. Moreno expertly explains the menu and ingredients in the dining room, a poetic display that whets the appetite and enhances the value of the dishes.

15/01/2026: The place is cute and quaint; I've been there many times, and it's pleasant in itself. However, in my opinion, the odor inside, which has always been a problem, has now become unbearable. There were three of us, and we all left smelling terribly of food. When paying at the register, next to where they warm the food, the air was unbreathable. It felt like fog. I understand the space may be "small" (but not that much, because the smell is very strong even in the back area), but the extractor hood above the counter was completely turned off. You can't go to a public place and find yourself having to wash all your clothes (including jackets). That's not acceptable to me personally. Furthermore, and this applies to all bars/restaurants, employees need to be "trained" to pay a little attention to how they wash glasses. It's not pleasant to find, as happened to me this time, a glass with 4-5 obvious lipstick marks. He doesn't make a great impression.

08/01/2026: There are three of us and we'd like to grab a few cicchetti and a good glass of wine. It's after 1:30 PM so there's room and they quickly serve us crostini, octopus, mozzarella in carrozza, quiche, and glasses of wine. Everything is delicious and appetizing. Coffee. €17 each. Good.

24/02/2026: I've come here three/four times for dinner as a couple. The seasonal flan with melted Morlacco and parmesan wafer is exceptional: you absolutely must try it! The grilled fish was excellent (but unfortunately they have now removed it from the menu). The frying is good. The spaghettone allo scoglio needs improvement (pasta a little too salty for my personal tastes, and detached from the sauce). Friendly staff. Advised!

Very limited choice of appetizers, first and second courses, and the quality didn't live up to expectations. The guinea fowl leg was embarrassing in quantity, appearance, and quality. 03/01/2026: A beautiful old property. The pool (additional charge) is also accessible to non-hotel guests. It's about a 20-minute walk to the town center (through the grounds of the neighboring clinic). Unfortunately, we discovered that instead of the large, park-like grounds with beautiful fig trees, an ugly supermarket now obstructs the view. The pool, which resembles a public outdoor swimming pool, is very crowded, especially on summer weekends! If we stay again, it would only be for an overnight stop. Therefore, only three stars.

Located just a short walk from the center, it has ample parking, especially since it uses the parking lot of the sports field across the street. 13/10/2025: Located near the town of Battipaglia, this café offers some of the best coffee in the area, both in terms of flavor and body. I recently stopped in for breakfast. The cappuccino was also very pleasant, while the brioche was soft, tasty, and generously filled. I can't say the variety of pastries is vast, but everything I've tried so far has been completely satisfying. Excellent service, a fairly spacious, modern, and welcoming space. I recommend it 😋👏

08/11/2025: An absolute disgrace – never again! My visit to All’Antico Girone was a complete disappointment from beginning to end. The food is outrageously overpriced and of abysmal quality. I ordered marinated salmon tartare as a starter – what I received was simply a few carelessly chopped pieces of salmon, completely unmarinated, tasteless, and prepared without any effort. It was downright rude. The service was catastrophic: drinks were simply slammed down on the table without a word, no one poured them or paid the slightest attention to the guests. No one even came to check if everything was alright – refills? Forget it. The whole time, I felt like a nuisance. The staff seemed annoyed and unmotivated. Their main goal was to get through it quickly. Order, eat, bill, goodbye. Overall, the visit was a complete waste of time and money. Neither the quality, nor the friendliness, nor the atmosphere even remotely lived up to what one would expect from a restaurant in this price range. Absolutely not recommended – never again! The only positive aspect is the restaurant's location, which is nice and convenient right next to the city wall.
