23/08/2025: It wasn't our first time at Trattoria Al Boccolo in Castelfranco Veneto, and as always, the experience was a pleasant one. On our way to Valdobbiadene, we stopped for lunch and were greeted by Fabio, who, with his warmth and friendliness, created a truly family-like atmosphere. The restaurant is intimate and well-kept, with soft background music that accompanies the moment without disturbing. We were welcomed with a delicious entrée, then my daughter enjoyed a flavorful tagliatella with ragù, made with love and attention to detail. My wife and I chose the tagliata di Sorana: thin, tender slices, seasoned simply with Maldon salt and Lake Garda oil, accompanied by baked potatoes and pan-fried carrots, all from their own garden. The Ripasso della Valpolicella recommended by Fabio rounded out a lunch that confirms this trattoria as an unmissable stop.

07/05/2026: Amazing carbonara! Maybe the quantities weren't exactly right because both my kids and I finished it in 2 seconds, and at home we usually eat 100g of pasta each. The 200g double carbonara was the same as the regular carbonara, but the fact is I ordered another double portion... I could have eaten more after that! Anyway, it was my fault for ordering the wrong amount! Next time, for three people, I'll order 1 kg!

03/01/2026: A beautiful old property. The pool (additional charge) is also accessible to non-hotel guests. It's about a 20-minute walk to the town center (through the grounds of the neighboring clinic). Unfortunately, we discovered that instead of the large, park-like grounds with beautiful fig trees, an ugly supermarket now obstructs the view. The pool, which resembles a public outdoor swimming pool, is very crowded, especially on summer weekends! If we stay again, it would only be for an overnight stop. Therefore, only three stars.

20/06/2026: Entree with tuna and mango jelly...no comment. First course with seared scallops...very small scallops and a questionable pairing. Sliced ​​beef for the small one...the meat seemed boiled, and the quality wasn't excellent; it almost seemed like reheated or reheated meat. First course with spaghetti cacio e pepe and truffle...the pasta completely disconnected from the sauce and tasteless black truffle. Sliced ​​tuna in a sesame crust and green beans...the tuna was acceptable, the green beans were semi-raw and stringy. Dessert...tiramisu, too much mascarpone, the eggs, in my opinion, nonexistent. OUTDOOR TABLES...no comment. When you sit down, you can't get close to the table because the underlying structure of the legs crosses. As a result, I couldn't wait to get up.

10/06/2026: I had lunch yesterday with my partner. He had the Vicenza-style cod with taragna polenta. I didn't really like the Grana cheese on top, even though I think it's in the original recipe. I had the tuna steak, and it was truly special. For the appetizer, the raw scampi were beautifully served and very tasty.
