11/08/2026: SHAME! We ordered two regular panzerotti and two gluten-free ones. We went to get the first two. An employee indicated one as gluten-free, even going so far as to open the paper to identify it. Trusting what we'd been told, the person with celiac disease ate it, again confident in the knowledge that it was gluten-free. Of course, when asked "Is it gluten-free?" the answer was "yes." After a while, a third panzerotto arrived, again claiming it was gluten-free. The fourth was still missing, so I decided to ask how long it would take for it to arrive. I was asked which panzerotto I needed, and I said the regular one. Later, I was told it wasn't the regular one, but the gluten-free one, which raised doubts, since we already had the two gluten-free ones. Then a rude and upset "lady" who works there comes over and asks us what we were missing, so we bring her the third panzerotto (still uneaten) and she tells us it was gluten-free. But the problem now is that my girlfriend had already eaten a "gluten-free" panzerotto (according to the employee). However, we were missing the regular one, not the gluten-free one. Do you want to know the moral of the story? Not only did we point out this huge mistake, which is extremely serious for a celiac, but we were even accused of not telling the truth, or better yet, in the exact words, "It's your fault for misunderstanding, what should we do now?" (said by the "lady" herself, with great "kindness and savoir faire"). Unfortunately, the damage has been done, there's no going back, much less proving who was right and who was wrong because these were things said verbally and obviously the workers will never agree with the customer. When handling orders for celiacs, it would be essential to have precise procedures to avoid any Confusion between gluten-free and gluten-free products, such as using different paper as many places do, or a sticker with a crossed-out wheat ear. It happened to us, as it could have happened to others, and we hope the restaurant will reflect on what happened and, above all, handle any confrontation with customers in a kind and proper manner. We also hope that the staff will be taught Italian, respect, and understanding, because celiac disease is not something to joke about. In conclusion, let's be clear: we had no desire to have an argument or discussion; we simply felt it was right to point out a mistake that was caused by a lack of understanding of the Italian language. I sincerely hope that this situation is taken seriously and that the staff is better trained and organized in managing gluten-free orders. A mistake like this can have serious consequences on a person's health and should never be treated lightly and superficially, like "what should we do?" I'm writing this review not to create controversy, but rather so that similar incidents don't happen again to other celiacs who, like me, rely on staff instructions to eat. safely.

Everything about this place feels special — from the beautiful historic building to the warm, attentive service. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, and every detail felt thoughtfully curated. Breakfast each morning was a highlight — fresh, delicious, and truly an experience rather than just a meal. There’s a sense of calm and authenticity here that’s hard to find. It’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. We would return in a heartbeat.

She welcomes you, spends time with you at the table, and the food is top-quality! YOU WILL BE PAMPERED, PLENTY OF DISHES Fair prices. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

22/03/2026: We came by to have some lunch, as many other places were already closed (past 15:00) this one wasn't. We weren't expecting much, but I have to say, it became one of the best meal during our trip. They were really friendly, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere is great. In the end, they even offered a shot of limoncello!

23/02/2026: We went for a quick lunch at this place we found on Google. There were two of us and we were craving meat; so we stopped, especially since in February, in Polignano, almost everything is closed for the winter season! So, it was a forced choice! The experience was unsatisfactory: semi-raw burger, cooked only on the outside; the cost of the sandwich + fries + drink combo is nothing more than the sum of the individual items €12!! After biting into the sandwich, at the first bite we asked for the courtesy of cooking it: the owner, without objecting, replied that since it is fresh veal, it could also be eaten rare: I could even agree, but unless it is a specific request from the customer, the burger is cooked right through! In fact, I was slightly disgusted! Napkins nonexistent, both at the tables and in the restaurant! Apparently the service overall is for beginners!
