01/03/2026: In my opinion, the gelato is the best in the western part of Genoa. The gelato is strictly artisanal and made with natural ingredients, and they often offer special flavors. The only downside is the confusion inside when ordering gelato. They have a display for numbers, but they never use it, which creates a confusion that tends to be unbearable.

04/01/2026: Panificio Fiordiponti embodies the best of Ligurian tradition and bread-making. It goes without saying how delicious their products are, such as Ligurian focaccia (well-drenched in olive oil), cheese focaccia, and pizza. I didn't have a chance to try the bread or desserts, but they looked absolutely inviting. It alone is worth a stop in Santa Margherita Ligure, and now, picking up takeout to enjoy in Portofino has become a tradition!

22/02/2026: Last night was my first time; I fell in love with the place, the dishes, everything!
The herring and Russian salad appetizer absolutely won me over! The selection is vast, and they pay great attention to everyone's needs (vegans, omnivores, basically, everyone can eat well here!). The portions are huge; I recommend choosing a few at a time to appreciate your selection even more. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try the vodkas because I'm pregnant, but I'll definitely be back as soon as I can because I'm really curious.
If you've never been, give it a try! You'll leave satisfied and with a whole new level of culinary knowledge!
Kudos also to the staff for their helpfulness and customer service.

03/02/2026: Kowalski is the perfect place to enjoy traditional Eastern European cuisine. I recommend the pierogi (traditional Polish potato-filled ravioli) accompanied by Barszcz (beetroot broth), and then I recommend trying their goulash. They also have a wide selection of vodka-based and flavored vodka cocktails. The atmosphere is charming and the staff are friendly.

Delicious, delicious pizza, including a helpful and friendly robot who thanks you with a bon appetit. I highly recommend it; it's a cute place, and you tip very well.

06/03/2026: I stopped by this bakery to buy some Genoese focaccia to take to relatives. The product was good and of high quality.
Unfortunately, however, the experience was ruined by the attitude of the sales assistant. I had purchased two trays of focaccia and politely asked if it was possible to divide them into three bags because I needed to distribute them to family members. The request was met with a rather rude response that left me truly surprised.
I understand that working behind the counter can be intense, but a little courtesy towards customers always makes a difference. It's a shame, because with a kinder attitude, it would have been a much more pleasant experience!

I tried the sandwich of the day (baked Tuscan porchetta and Taggiasca olive cream with Apulian PGI buffalo stracciatella), truly excellent. At Panino Perfetto you can create your own custom sandwich with different types of bread, cured meats, cheeses, and burgers. I'll definitely be back.
The staff is friendly, fast, and helpful.
