25/08/2024: Ancient ice cream shop in the alleys of Sorrento, (not visible at first glance), but with a little attention you enter a slightly dated place, but at the same time in the tradition of Sorrento ice cream and granita. The lemon sorbet and limoncello flavored ice cream is excellent, but if you choose lemon instead of the cone it has an extra touch. In addition to the ice cream, we returned several times for the kindness of the staff and especially Michele. Compliments! I recommend stopping by for a refreshing break!

02/09/2024: I came because of the many good reviews and was unfortunately more than disappointed.
I was brought my drinks: Aperol spritz was very weak.. I wanted sparkling water with it, what I got was "naturale", they didn't have water with more sparkling...mind you, there is a supermarket directly opposite..
I also got a bag of bread put on the table...without butter or anything...
Others received chips and nuts with their drink.
But probably the most disappointing thing was the “risotto” we ordered from the Daily Specials(!)...
When I wanted to change the water, I noticed that the frozen packaging of a quick meal had just been opened: my "risotto". I would have liked to have gone there!
It wasn't until I got back to the seat that I noticed the writing on the card: "frozen, if fresh not available".
It's a daily recommendation and consists only of rice and mushrooms..What's not to have?!
When it came, it was as expected: tasteless and loveless.
There was some parsley and cheese thrown on top, but it was absolutely tasteless.
And then they charge €13 for that?!
Especially in Italy I expect a fresh risotte with a taste experience..
Absolute tourist trap!

12/08/2024: Amazing quality food with big portion sizes, very reasonable price too. We went twice during our stay and had the pizza, bolognese and meatballs - all were incredible. The staff are very attentive and friendly too. Definitely recommend eating here during your stay.
10/08/2024: Excellent food and service. The meatballs were some of the best we’ve ever had - a must get if you visit! The only slight downside was that we thoughts the meatballs were with pasta… they weren’t so weren’t totally full. However they were so nice it didn’t bother us too much!!

06/08/2024: Super great option if you want to switch things around from Italian food! Best tuna crispy rice and bao buns are amazing! The salmon temaki was a favorite and the fish was fresh. Great find whilst staying in sorrento!

09/08/2024: We’d spotted this place when wandering in the afternoon. In short, we would go back. My husband is a self proclaimed lasagne connoisseur and he said this was the best he had in Sorrento!
I had squid ink ravioli. It was excellent: al dente and fresh!
The thing to watch here is it’s busy, most people wait for a table and there doesn’t seem to be much of a system.
The staff are pretty surly but when you are in (seated) they were friendly. If you’re after staff being chatty it’s not the place for you, if you just want your food, it’s great! Very reasonable prices too!
08/08/2024: L'atmosfera del locale é molto accogliente. Noi eravamo in compagnia della nostra cagnolina che é stata accolta dal personale con tante carezze. I camerieri ci hanno fatto accomodare e subito dopo aver preso la comanda é arrivato l'antipasto scelto: Burrata con datterini, davvero gustosa soprattutto i pomodorini. I fusilli avellinesi con tartare di ricciola al profumo di limone erano squisiti. Io ho chiesto di non mantecare gli gnocchi alla Sorrentina con il parmigiano e sono stata accontentata, perché i piatti vengono fatti al momento.
Esperienza consigliatissima

Tourist trap. According to the map there are 5 sizes. But only 4 are on display. The smallest cup is intentionally hidden.
Service is underground.
If you like being insulted by the owner, this is the perfect atmosphere. The owner ran out and insulted me because he thought I wrote a bad review.
Unfortunately you can't give 0/5 stars. Absolutely not recommended.

17/10/2023: We have been traveling through much of Italy and the only place where we have had bad food is here. We ordered a Risotto agli Agrumi for 18 euros and we found ourselves with boiled rice without any grace and when I say nothing it is nothing. Clearly the dish did not show even the slightest love for cooking. We also ordered a Sorrento Gnocchi which was good but nothing more. The problem is not the money spent but the experience, taking home a nice memory. In this case it was not so. I hope they can improve and contribute more by having such good local products.
09/10/2023: Posto molto semplice ma gradevole e accogliente, bello lo spazio fuori.
Personale cordiale attento e gentile. Un pochino fuori rispetto alle vie centrali di Sorrento piene di locali per turisti ma comunque raggiungibile a piedi in pochi minuti da Piazza Tasso.
Abbiamo preso crocchè, ravioli, gnocchi, risotto agli agrumi. Tutti piatti eccellenti. Segnalo anche la freschezza dell'insalata (aspetto non scontato). Dolci ottimi.
Un grazie ai ristoratori. Continuate così.

06/06/2024: This place was a 10/10 ! I would recommend to anyone staying in Sorrento ! Although it is a ways out of town, if you’re staying in an Air bnb near here, you need to come and try it ! From the food to the desert everything was great. It’s family owned and they really make you feel welcomed if when you’re not from here.

14/08/2024: I went there for dinner recently, we found ourselves ordering mixed starters (fries, chicken strips, omelettes, etc.) which had a very strange taste, they tasted a lot like old oil, especially the strips. We left everything, we wanted to order the sandwiches later, but we no longer had the desire and above all the appetite. A real shame, because I was there about 3 years ago and I remembered it completely different (in a positive way). Very friendly and helpful staff.
11/08/2024: Nice and typical place, we took some cutting boards, aesthetically very nice and the quality of the food was good.
Good sandwiches, there isn't much choice of piadine.
Very kind and friendly staff.

23/08/2024: È una gemma nel cuore di Sorrento. Situato nel centro storico, atmosfera romantica e frizzante. Ottima accoglienza da parte di tutto il personale, pronto a soddisfare con il sorriso ogni esigenza. Cibo di ottima qualità, mare e terra, con una vasta scelta di vini.
Abbiamo mangiato un ottimo crudo, ma mi hanno deliziato con una linguina taratufi e scaglie di parmigiano. Che dire… super consigliato. Ci ritornerò sicuramente.

05/08/2024: Favorite part and place of my two week trip around Italy!
Highly recommend taking the cooking class with Imma, I never cook and she made everything super simple to follow and the food came out amazing, then we got to eat our food with a bottle of wine out on the terrace over looking the street. We were also able to buy another bottle of wine from them at the front desk and then stayed out their playing cards when we finished eating.
So I don’t do well eating breakfast early in the morning but my friend loved it and I had my cappuccino so I was good to go.
Our room was spacious and had a window on the second floor and the staff brought our bags up the stairs for us even tho it was maybe like 12 stairs.
It was approximately a 7 minute walk from the train station, maybe the same to the ferry but down the stairs.
There’s a beautiful lookout in the main square 2 mins from the hotel to see the water down below. Plenty of restaurants nearby for dinner and appertif, as well as yummy gelato.
We booked two excursions as well through the hotel which we payed for in cash when we got there. We booked the Pompeii tour which was awesome, the guide was funny and knowledgeable, he said seeing everything in Pompeii could take a week so he would show us the highlights like the mansion, school etc, and brought biscuits for the cats roaming around. We also booked the Capri boat tour. The captain was super nice and knowledgeable, loved seeing all the sites on the boat and then parking the boat and jumping off into the water was probably my favorite.
All of the staff at the hotel was super kind and helpful with recommendations for food or activities. I also left my phone in the lobby when I left on the train to Florence, I called them and gave them my address and credit card and they mailed me my phone back home which was super kind of them. You have to hand your key in as you come and go and we felt like old friends by the end of the trip even tho we only stayed 4 days here. I will definitely be back and will only stay at this hotel in Sorrento!
