31/07/2025: While visiting Italy, I was preparing for a family gathering with relatives I had not seen in many years. I came across l’Artigiano della Pizza located in Siderno Marina, RC. I contacted the restaurant through its website and was pleasantly impressed with the rapidity of the reply by the owner himself, Vincenzo Fotia. Mr Fotia went out of his way to accommodate my particular needs. In our exchanges, I was left with the assurance that we were in good hands. Once at the restaurant, we were met with a very friendly staff, all treating my guests with exemplary patience and courtesy. The food was absolutely delicious. The pizzas were amazing and the pastas heavenly. The pricing was extremely reasonable. I would definitely return to this restaurant on my next trip to Italy. And I would definitely recommend l’Artigiano della Pizza to anyone travelling Southern Italy seeking a nice meal in a very friendly and pleasant environment. Grazie moltissimo Vincenzo e tutto il staff, e a presto!!!

28/06/2025: L’Istrione is located in Stilo, in the province of RC, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Together with my friends we opted to have lunch in this restaurant, which I would define as a gem; both for the interior, all completely in stone with a touch of modernity, and for the exterior, since it allows you to be outdoors away from any type of noise (especially cars). We opted for a fish appetizer, I would define abundant and very fresh; they then recommended us to try a first course based on cream of asparagus and lemon with shellfish that I would define SUPERLATIVE. as a second course we had a central grilled fish and a mixed fried fish, also very very good. We then opted for a good Calabrian beer; the restaurant, being the home of beer, has numerous really good craft beers. Very young and competent staff, attentive to every type of customer need. Adequate and not excessive bill. We will return!

07/06/2025: The staff is quite attentive, the dishes are good (perhaps the quantities need to be reviewed), it is also very good for gluten-free (better to make a phone call first though) and the location is good especially in winter.

23/08/2025: We had dinner here last night on the beautiful terrace with lights adjacent to the garden of the "villa" in Locri. We've been coming here every summer for years. It's simple but very charming, and the staff and owners are very kind and professional. The pizza is a real thin crust pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven, with excellent dough, even with multi-grain options (sorry, but I'm starting to hate the fake gourmet pizzas that are so trendy these days). Excellent ingredients and a varied selection of white and red pizzas, all truly excellent, as well as the pinsa. Highly recommended, a guarantee.

14/07/2025: Il ristorante si trova in una location strepitosa, dove il mare abbraccia la montagna, lo staff è super preparato e cercano in ogni modo di soddisfare le esigenze del cliente, i padroni di casa sono accoglienti e ti fanno sentire parte della famiglia, noi abbiamo preso una bottiglia di prosecco di uve locali vinificato nel trevigiano, a parere mio molto buono delicato con sentori di frutta e considerando anche il trasporto e il lavoro che c'è dietro, il rapporto qualità prezzo è eccellente. Abbiamo preso due percorsi di mare dove abbiamo trovato tanti assaggi delle prelibatezze locali con un'esplosione di sapori. Continuando con un tagliolino al crudo a dir poco strepitoso, dove a ogni boccone si sentiva il sapore del mare, abbiamo proseguito con un pagro alla piastra dove il nostro cameriere lo ha spinato e impiattato davanti a noi. Abbiamo finito con un cannolo scomposto freschissimo e un semifreddo bergamotto e cocco entrambi buonissimi. Possiamo tranquillamente dire che le materie prime sono di ottima qualità. Considerando che noi siamo di Milano il prezzo finale è tranquillamente in linea, magari anche al di sotto di quelli di pari livello che troviamo da noi. Concludendo, è stata una bellissima esperienza sia degustativa che ambientale, lo consigliamo assolutamente.

04/07/2025: Sia romantica che in larga compagnia, servizio impeccabile e professionale, oltre che rapido e preciso. Pesce fresco senza il minimo dubbio, fa onore alla località essendo situato sul mare. Proprietario disponibile nonostante si debba districare tra i simpaticissimi figli piccoli. Ci torneremo sicuramente tappa fissa in Calabria!!!

04/05/2025: C'era un gruppo di giovani dietro di me e le loro pizze sembravano discrete, ma come ristorante lo eviterei. La pasta era discreta: delle quattro opzioni sul menu ce n'era solo una disponibile, ma il secondo piatto era un disastro. Ho ordinato il merluzzo che era stracotto e sono convinto non fosse nemmeno fresco: era come mangiare gomma, ho dovuto lasciarlo. Molto deludente.

19/06/2025: Terrible experience, in the past we had already ordered two pizzas for home delivery and one had arrived completely burnt and the other with holes (I don't know how to have the courage to send out pizzas like that) after a long time I decided to give it another chance, because everyone makes a mistake, this time I ordered a pizza and two beers on deliveroo, I only received the pizza, the rider said that they only delivered the pizza. I tried to make a complaint via the app but obviously there wasn't even a receipt. At this point I called the pizzeria and they told me in an unkind and very arrogant way if you want the beers come and get them here. After I paid for the delivery service, as if the mistake was mine. If you are not able to provide a service, simply don't do it. It's not so much for the mistake, because it can happen, but the rudeness.

05/06/2025: We went to eat stockfish since it is famous. But nothing special, instead of the stockfish fillet they brought the second choice, the watery sauce and not even the potatoes. We had to ask for bread. The carbonara no comment! Side dishes no comment! We will not return.

24/05/2025: What can I say? ... It was a pleasant evening, the place is warm and welcoming and the staff is really kind, they met us on everything. The wait for our pizzas was normal considering the place was full and there were 7 of us, and the pizzas are really super, no heaviness as soon as you get up from the table but only a really healthy satiety, the dough is really a cloud without counting the flavor of the same, truly a fantastic pizza.. I didn't take photos of the other pizzas because they were devoured before time 😂 if you pass through Palmi and want a good PIZZA spending the right amount, I recommend you stop here...
