28/08/2025: We were looking forward to eating at this establishment because of all the good reviews but I was very disappointed. Especially with the service received from our waitress. She kept forgetting to bring things that we asked for, not once but twice. Once I had to actually get up and go inside the restaurant to get what I needed. People raved about the food but I didn’t think it was anything special. I had a pizza and it was just okay. I was expecting a Naples style pizza but it wasn’t like that at all. It was more of a focaccia styled pizza. The bruschetta was very good with multiple toppings on it. The jacket potatoes are overpriced if you order something that isn’t on the main menu. We paid €15 for a jacket potato! Plus, we paid €4 for a coke! One of my friends ordered a beer and only paid €2.50 for it. Granted, it was a small beer. Apparently, a lot of people love Il Ferracavallo because it was full on a week night. I think this place is overrated and the prices are too steep for a little town located out in the sticks. It’s not like it is in Rome. Sorry but I can’t recommend Il Ferracavallo for the experience I had there last night. I was shocked when I received the bill.

The restaurant is surrounded by nature, in a peaceful corner that seems straight out of a postcard: perfect for a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The real star, however, is the food: a well-deserved 5 stars! Everything is homemade with the freshest ingredients and authentic recipes passed down from her grandmother. You can taste the love in every dish. The truffle ravioli are unmissable: an explosion of flavors that alone is worth the trip. But every course is a discovery, of extraordinary quality. Without a doubt, the best place in the entire area – for those seeking authenticity, real flavors, and a heartwarming welcome. We will definitely be back. Bravo!

14/08/2025: Halfway between Pizzoferrato and Quadri, we stopped for lunch at this restaurant, beautifully decorated both inside and out, with a beautiful view of the Sangro Valley. The set but carefully prepared appetizers, a wide selection of first and second courses, and impeccable service are all included. Recommended.

11/09/2025: Compared to last year, there's been a drastic drop in preparation and quality of the dishes offered. Fried calamari consists of only the tails and a few tentacles. The rest of the mantle is used to prepare skewers, which, quite paltry, were priced at €2.50 each. The flavors also leave much to be desired. We've been there several times last year and always had a great experience. Too bad...

For four days, we had takeout for lunch, as it's always busy, and in the evening, we were completely pampered by Tiziana. As an expert in the sector, I can say that their attention to customer service, the quality of the ingredients, the preparation, and the service are on par with the most prestigious establishments in Milan. Top marks for the fresh pasta and lamb. Ita and Greta

I'd like to point out that Mrs. Amalia, the owner and cook, went out of her way, even without seeing me, to make my anniversary special. Greetings also to Mr. Tonino and the waitress. Having said that, I can say that the food here is good. Very good. Without too many frills and culinary falsehoods. You can sense the desire to serve dishes made with love and passion. 31/08/2025: While staying in castle up the hill we were lucky to visit authentic restaurant with soooo delicious food! Highly recommend to eat all the meat they have! It’s sooo delicious, lamb and veal cooked perfectly and lemon sauce so delight. Family friendly atmosphere and good wine.
