07/01/2026: Exceptional!
In a wonderful setting, in a cabin in the middle of the La Thuille slopes under a canopy of stars.
We went up with snowcats and were welcomed with a hot and delicious mulled wine accompanied by appetizers.
In the warm and welcoming interior, we had a wonderfully good dinner, excellently served by friendly and very professional waiters.
Wines for all tastes and budgets, a well-stocked cellar.
A truly beautiful evening.
Oh, and I forgot, the snowcat drivers are crazy but very good at driving the vehicles that transport you up and down.
07/01/2026: A very cozy restaurant on the slopes, on the way to La Thuile. The food was delicious (spare ribs, ratatouille, spaghetti). The desserts were also delicious. The food is quite expensive, though. We sat outside on the terrace. As long as the sun is shining, it's a wonderful place to be.

07/01/2026: A truly positive experience. We were warmly welcomed by the owner couple, who are truly kind, helpful, and attentive.
The breakfast is simple but offers little homemade gems, like their wonderful yogurt, which is truly special.
The rooms are comfortable and well-kept.
The only small flaw is the location, a bit uphill from the center of La Thuile, but this is easily solved thanks to the shuttle service that passes very close by and is really convenient.

13/08/2025: Abbiamo cenato un paio di volte in questo grazioso ristorante. Qualità del cibo buona con porzioni abbondanti. Personale molto attento e cordiale. Posizione del ristorante fuori dal centro, in posizione tranquilla.
02/08/2025: Ottimo ristorante a conduzione familiare dove si trova un poco di tutto (antipasti, secondi, contorni, pinze).
La qualità del cibo è buona, il servizio, la cordialità e disponibilità altrettanto.

Allergens are clearly defined on the menu, the staff is attentive and knowledgeable, and there are gluten-free options available (polenta, meat, side dishes, etc.).
Exceptional view; the restaurant has many windows that allow you to dine with a breathtaking view!
I recommend booking.

31/01/2026: Very little efforts and investments for maximum cash, beyond reasonable. And one toilet and outside for a place of that size, so people end up queuing in the cold one by one. Music loud inside but no music outside. Will not come back for sure.

The mortadella & pistachio pizza is incredible good.
Super friendly staff, cozy vibe, and honestly my favorite place around. Highly recommended! 🍕

Restaurant Hotel Les Granges

16/07/2025: I returned to Les Granges after many years, and it was a pleasant confirmation. I dined and enjoyed well-prepared traditional dishes, with authentic and genuine flavors. The owners were very welcoming, creating a relaxed, family atmosphere. The service was also attentive and courteous. A welcome return, and I recommend it to anyone seeking traditional cuisine and sincere hospitality.
04/07/2025: Clean rooms, breakfast with brioche, yogurt cakes, excellent honey and local jams. Dinner with a choice of 3 first courses, 3 second courses, 3 side dishes, appetizer and dessert. Personally I would define everything we ate as very good

29/12/2025: Uninteresting, except for the initial impression of being in Italy. It doesn't feel like Italy, or even France, or anywhere really. It vaguely resembles a dive bar on the side of the road. Too crowded, dirty, and self-service.
The food is okay, nothing special.
In short, uninteresting.
30/09/2025: We went there on a Sunday last week of September and it was good! The place was fool at lunch time so we had to put our names on a list and wait, not a problem we had a coffe and a chocolate, enjoyed the views, walked around and then time was up to go back and have lunch. Food dishes are generous and good. Service is great, very nice guys!

17/12/2025: We're still waiting for a repeatedly requested bill. The food was decent, the service was quite poor, and it was absurd to leave a three-year-old's plate for last. It's normal for there to be a lot of people on a Saturday night, but it's not normal to treat them like this. It's a shame because overall the food was good.
07/12/2025: We stopped for lunch; a friendly young man greeted us. The owner then arrived, helped with the service, and offered us coffee and a digestif. Only afterward was it explained to us that they were supposed to be closed. Excellent food and a lovely atmosphere.

Piccolo San Bernardo Restaurant

20/01/2026: The place is very nice, definitely a gold mine... but you can't have just one person behind the counter handling the cash register, making coffee, serving tables... etc.
If you walk in at the wrong time, you might find someone in line ahead of you, but you might have to wait 10 minutes before your turn.
I've never been there during lunch...
27/12/2025: Perhaps it's more pleasant to visit in summer than winter. A chaotic atmosphere, no services, do it yourself! The pizza is good.
I don't recommend the sausage with cabbage, however, as it arrives half-warm/cold.
It doesn't feel like it represents the Aosta Valley.

09/08/2025: The bar was closed yesterday! It's probably closed all summer, but it says open on Google! Is it that hard to correctly list closing days on Google? ..if only out of a modicum of respect for tourists/customers...
