07/02/2025: Habitué du Riondet depuis très longtemps, beaucoup de choses n'ont pas changé et c'est bien. Par contre les prix ont explosé! Un (petit) verre de vin à 7,50 euros, c'est le prix sur la Côte d'Azur. La montée en gamme voulue par l'équipe du Riondet se traduit par une forte montée en prix. A mon grand regret, j'espacerai mes visites...
07/02/2025: non capisco come ci siano tutte queste recensioni positive, ho ordinato una polenta con bocconcini di vitello mi è arrivato una polenta (se così si può definire) e una specie di spezzatino, il menù é completamente sbagliato, c’é scritto polenta e invece arriva fontina fusa con qualche chicco di polenta sul fondo, unica cosa buona é il personale super accogliente

11/01/2025: Pluripremiato maestro cioccolatiere a due passi dalle piste. Molto affollato. Il locale è piccolo e così dopo un po’ di attesa ci hanno proposto di condividere un tavolo da 4 con un altra coppia; per noi nessun problema. Cioccolata molto buona così come la pasticceria. Tisana nella media. Crepe poco cotta. Prezzi onesti. Personale cortese e disponibile nonostante il caos (la nostra crespella ha girato 4 tavoli prima di giungere a destinazione). Da riprovare senza la ressa.
10/01/2025: Wow what a beautiful place I had a hot chocolate with cream and a crepe I’m not a hot chocolate drinker at all but thought I better try one well here and honestly it was superb, like I’ve never tasted before I literally used my teaspoon to drink with as it was pure chocolate not a powder,
I would recommend visiting here 100% don’t miss it out on your ski trip

03/02/2025: Probably expecting something different (more genuine and local) I was a little disappointed by this place starting from the menu very "turisty" and not very inviting. I had the tagliere and nothing there really impressed me including the bread. The personnel is kind (helpful in explaining the wines) and efficient but i didn't like the atmosphere. Definitely I wouldn't go back

26/01/2025: I can't give 6 stars... never mind... know that this property is simply fantastic in terms of location, friendliness and cleanliness of the room and breakfast. Due to an unexpected health issue we had to shorten our stay but the owners did more than correct in managing the reservation. Thank you
31/08/2024: For our first holiday in Valle d'Aosta we couldn't have chosen a better structure. Very clean rooms, assorted breakfasts with fresh products and well prepared by the kind Annalisa. I thank you for the availability and advice received from the friendly Ruggero to best visit the beautiful area of La Thuile.

09/01/2025: Food was fabulous would highly recommend the pork. Service was equally excellent and wine was great. Our evening was great we felt well looked after and had a great time. This was our 2nd year visiting the restaurant and returning for our last evening fingers crossed it’s just as good.

03/02/2025: We were recommended this place by our hotel and they were not wrong.
Good typical food and great service, all the people working there were really nice.
They also offer pizza, which we didn't try but looked tasty.
We had polenta with cheese and different kind of meat, and a good slice of pie.
Wine from the house was good as well
Reasonable prices
18/01/2025: Visited this restaurant for a special night out with family, on a ski trip. We had several different meals and everyone was very impressed with the service and food we had. Beautiful surroundings, pleasant and efficient staff and excellent food at a good price. If you are in La Thuille give this a visit.

15/02/2025: Qualità, gentilezza, professionalità in un ambiente caldo e accogliente… che dire, bravissimi! Saremmo venuti qui anche più spesso durante la nostra settimana a La Thuile se avessimo trovato posto… consiglio di prenotare per tempo!!
12/02/2025: J'ai connu la tata par le passé. C'était une adresse que je pouvais recommander aux gourmets.Service,présentation des plats, qualité et originalité de ceux ci. Tout cela méritait une note élevée. Tel n'est plus le cas. Sans doute suite à un changement de propriétaires, ce qui paraît assez courant à la Thuile (Le coq Maf, le petit skieur etc..)La Tata est devenue une auberge pour skieurs qui l'envahissent. Mieux vaut réserver d'ailleurs. Ce déferlement de gens pressés se ressent sur les plats qui n'ont plus rien de comparables avec ceux du passé. Attention, ce n'est pas mauvais et le personnel reste d'une grande efficacité et amabilité. Mais c'est devenu de la bouffe sans saveur particulière. Inutile donc de vous y rendre si vous voulez passer un moment gastronomique. Seule la facture le sera.

Restaurant Hotel Les Granges

13/01/2025: Great location if you have a car and don’t want to be in the centre of La Thuile for skiing.
There’s a free car park in the town just up from mobile home park about a 400 metre walk to the main lift. Brilliant for warming up and warming down around the ski day.
Breakfast in the mornings is perfectly adequate and very traditional, amazing croissants and traditional cheese & meat options. Lovely coffee from Claudio’s machine.
The evening meal is served from in the restaurant 100 metres away. A simple walk and one you’re grateful for if you’ve managed to eat all that’s put before you. The food is traditional. Don’t expect burger & chips.
The hotel is very spacious and a refreshing alternative to the super modern uber cool places I’ve never aspired to staying in.
The rooms are cleaned and the beds made daily. And I’m sure we had fresh sheets and towels half way through the week.
We got a half board week for less than the booking dot com B&B price by booking directly with Claudio via their website
