29/04/2025: I had been for dinner last summer for a pizza, we had a very good time, the pizza was so good that we went back, this time we tried the cuisine (they don't serve pizzas for lunch)
We took the potato rosti, a very good dish prepared with care.

17/06/2025: Castore & Polluce was the heart of our lunch in Gressoney: a charming place divided into three areas (terrace on the square, lounge bar and private room). We went at midday and the lunch hour (12:00–14:30) was managed perfectly, with a modern menu based on local ingredients.
The wine selection is incredible and you can choose directly from the cellar by looking around, as well as from the menu. The food was refined, tasty and well presented, with creative hints on mountain classics (polenta concia, fondue, Valdostan meat tartare).
The atmosphere is young and refined, and the attention to detail—from cleanliness to courtesy—made the lunch even more enjoyable. A must if you are in the area: enchanting view, quality cuisine and a stunning cellar.
01/06/2025: Restaurant in the heart of the town square, very very beautiful, excellent cuisine and view of the mountains, perhaps a little expensive but all the dishes I tried were excellent, I will return.

04/04/2025: Lunch in the outdoor area after skiing, great view, very kind staff, pet friendly, excellent beers and delicious food... we were tempted by the Pullet Pork burger cooked slowly with beer and whiskey... caramelized onions, cheddar, tomato and mayonnaise... accompanied by delicious French fries... nothing ordinary... Washed down with Blanche beer and a Radler... friendly and helpful managers... Highly recommended

10/01/2025: Great apre ski place. Owners very friendly and kind. Easy to catch the bus to other parts of the valley from here, even if you aren't staying in Staffal.

La montagna chiede silenzio, contemplazione… se proprio si deve mettere una musica, perché non usare una musica più discreta a volumi “umani”? Questa violenza, questo stordimento non sono degni di un rifugio e comunque di un locale in quota. Sine qua non

27/04/2025: Ottima sosta per chi frequenta la zona! Il Rifugio Gabiet offre un servizio veloce e cordiale, ideale per chi vuole godersi una pausa senza perdere troppo tempo. La posizione è comodissima, a due passi dagli impianti di risalita, immersa nelle piste da sci. Il cibo è buono, con piatti semplici e gustosi, e i prezzi sono davvero onesti per essere in montagna. Consigliato sia per un pranzo veloce che per una pausa più rilassata.
22/03/2025: Det hyggeligste sted med lækre hjemmelavede retter. Lækker pasta, kage og kaffe til meget rimelige priser.

13/03/2025: Al modico prezzo di 16 euro servono un hamburger già cotto e solo riscaldato che naturalmente sembra una suola di scarpa (vedere foto).
Sulle patatine surgelate si può capire.
25/02/2025: Ho prenotato cena in questa baita di montagna per i miei 50anni.
Non ci ero mai stato, nemmeno per pranzo. La struttura interamente in legno, sul tetto 4abbaini, il tutto molto curato. I tavoli apparecchiati con molta attenzione; segnaposti in legno fatti a mano dallo stesso artista della radice su cui abbiamo fato l'aperitivo, degli sdrai, del pupazzo di neve, dei due galli all'entrata! Davvero una Chicca in mezzo al nulla.
Cucina a tutti gli effetti gourmet, dai sapori alla presentazione dei piatti. Lo spaghettino con le acciughe, da urlo!
Servizio impeccabile! Complimenti!

19/01/2025: Returning to Gressoney for skiing but this was other excuse to return and try 100% local wines and cheese etc.
We were welcomed back as old friends by Alessio, his brother and the staff and immediately seated by the roaring fire and presented with the wine list……..local Fumin wines are a delight and not really found certainly not in the UK due to such overall and relatively small production.
It was fantastic to be incredibly well served with various bottles of excellent wine……. all with various percentages of Fumin grapes🍷
I love visiting here and the skiing and scenery are pretty amazing too.
Full bar, snacks and restaurant facilities and family run, with excellent quality and service………. See you again guys 🍷

15/03/2025: Prezzi folli per cibo immangiabile. Qualità e quantità davvero pessime, per non parlare del servizio che è lentissimo e come se non bastasse il personale è di una maleducazione che raramente si vede. Assolutamente sconsigliato, un incubo!

il personale è abbastanza svogliato e la pizza è surgelata.
inoltre non puoi decidere una pizza da comporre ma devi solo togliere ingredienti da quelle già fatte, quindi uno spreco di soldi

29/03/2025: Lovely staff, good seating both in and outdoors, we went on a recommendation and were very glad, then went back again another day. Excellent grilled vegetables with local cheese and polenta dish.
17/02/2025: We visited this mountain restaurant on the last night of our short stay in Gressoney and had a really good meal accompanied by some very nice local red wine.
You are collected in a mini snow cat and taken for a short ride up the mountain to the restaurant which is small and cosy.
The hosts were very friendly and we were well looked after. There was a good choice of food which was very tasty.
The lunch menu also looked good and I would definitely return to sample that in the future!
