I recommend the local pizzas with quality ingredients and the excellent craft beer.

Relatively quick service and friendly staff :)
The atmosphere is noisy, but if you arrive early the room is emptier and the conversation is more pleasant.
I recommend booking (there are two sittings, 7:15 or 9:00 p.m. approximately).

20/09/2025: The corner room assigned to us is furnished in Alpine style, well-designed, and features a large bathroom with a huge, modern shower and three different water flow settings.
A French window leads to the spacious terrace and four windows (one each).
Extremely bright! A feature I really appreciate.
The room overlooks Champoluc's main street on one side, with shops nearby, and the hotel's well-maintained garden on the other.
The hotel is very close to the pedestrian path that runs alongside the Evançon stream, offering pleasant walks that lead to the sports facilities.
Hotel Castor has many small nooks furnished with velvet sofas and armchairs, a piano for guests' entertainment, and a reading corner.
The dining and breakfast room is very spacious and well-appointed.
The breakfast is varied, with a wide selection of sweets (cookies, homemade cakes—very popular—), brioche, and savory options. Fruit juices, yogurt, jams, and fresh fruit are also available.
The hosts are courteous and discreet, yet always available for any information or request.
14/09/2025: I found this hotel... Welcoming and very clean.. Breakfast and dinner were plentiful and the dining room staff were very kind.

13/09/2025: Pizzeria and restaurant with vegetarian options, located on the road that runs around Champoluc, avoiding the center. It offers free parking. The inevitable polenta (which I didn't find to my liking) comes with a side of mushrooms and/or cheese and/or meat. Pizzas start at €9, cooked in a wood-fired oven with thick crusts, well done, and generously sized, and are available in all types. A pasta dish costs €13 (a bit pricey considering the quantity). Based on our experience, we recommend it, especially for the pizzas. Wine starts at €20 a bottle, and from €14 in bulk. Fast, friendly, and precise service. 08/09/2025: Easily accessible with parking in front. We were greeted warmly and even our two dogs were welcome. The waiters were very kind and attentive, the service was prompt, and the pizza was delicious. Prices were reasonable.

27/08/2025: Not because of the decades-long friendship that binds my wife and I to Andrea and his wife Micky, but Essentiel is always an absolute guarantee in Champoluc. Excellent menu complemented by an exceptional wine list. A special mention and thanks to the always professional and competent staff.

29/08/2025: A warm and attentive welcome, a splendid location with a view of the Ayace Valley, and food focused on Aosta Valley specialties, all delicious. We returned to complete our samplings.
Aosta Valley soup, crespelle, porcini mushroom soup, onion soup...and then the desserts, with whipped cream made with their own milk.
Highly recommended!

26/10/2025: Excellent food; we tried the platter, the tagliatelle with venison ragù, and the polenta with venison cheek—all truly authentic. The view is breathtaking, and the owner is hospitable. A glass of Chardon is also highly recommended.

The food is very good, but there's no menu or à la carte menu to see the prices, and in my opinion, the price is too high for the service I received.
