03/04/2024: We were there with a toddler aged 1.5 years. We were warmly welcomed and the boss provided us with toys for the little one. The Italians love children through and through. You notice that again and again. The service was very friendly and accommodating. My husband ate the lasagne, I had the spaghetti agli olio and my son had a salami pizza. It was very tasty across the board. Really recommended. Fresh and prepared with love. We will definitely come back here. To the previous comments. The music was very pleasant and not loud. The house schnapps was very tasty and there was no burnt pizza. Sat right in front of the pizza bakery. On the terrace you can enjoy a beautiful view and the atmosphere is cozy. There was really nothing negative on our part. We didn't make a reservation and were politely shown to a free seat. From the outside the restaurant is really unimpressive. So don't be fooled. It is definitely worth a visit again and again. Have been in Dorf Tirol for 4 days. And this is the first restaurant with a culinary delight and a feel-good factor.

01/04/2024: The pizza is super tasty. We found the strangely thin-tasting schnapps that you get afterwards questionable, unfortunately even without being asked. We arrived at 8pm and it wasn't busy, so we had our food quickly and the staff was friendly too. After the meal we had the feeling that we should please leave so that the staff could finish work. There is a draft at the window in the winter garden.

04/04/2024: Absolute recommendation! This was truly the best pizza ever. Great selection of different and unusual pizza variants that are second to none. Positive side effect: unbeatable price-performance ratio. We paid 54 (!) Euros for 3 glasses of wine, 1 liter of water, 3 pizzas and a mixed salad. There was also an excellent schnapps on the house for free. Service was very warm and accommodating. 1A 👍

31/03/2024: Had an excellent meal there today. The bacon dumplings are really great. Likewise the tiramisu and the Kaiserschmarrn. Service was very friendly and the atmosphere was great too.

19/12/2023: We stayed at the Sandgruberhof twice. You have a very nice view from the terrace. But the vaulted cellar is also really beautiful. We can absolutely recommend shepherd’s macaroni and goulash with noodles. The price/performance ratio was okay. The service was friendly and attentive. A nice place that we would happily recommend.

03/04/2024: Wow, the food was to die for and so was the service. Everyone was super nice and accommodating. Actually worth even more stars. And the view from up here is awesome too. We were here with our motorhome and will definitely come back. Since you can't make a reservation, you have to come early. We were lucky and got one of the last coveted places. From up here you can easily walk to Meran and take the bus back. It's free with the Tirol Card, which you get when checking in.

02/04/2024: Spinach dumplings and spaghetti were very tasty, we got a table straight away, but in the summer I think it's better to make a reservation and the service was friendly

10/12/2023: We ate dinner at the restaurant every day during our 2023 fall vacation. The food is extremely tasty and the price-performance ratio is excellent. The operation is also at full capacity Restaurant always friendly and fast. Re-ordering the side dishes for the main course is always possible and at no extra charge. We can recommend this restaurant to everyone and will visit it in the future.

19/10/2023: Although the restaurant was full and we barely managed to get a table, we received a very friendly welcome. The service was attentive, the drinks and pizzas came very quickly. I would have given it five stars if the mushrooms had been fresh. Artichokes from a jar are okay, but next please fresh mushrooms. I would be happy to pay a euro more. Otherwise, thank you for the nice evening

19/11/2023: Location molto intima, indicata per chi ama l'amore per i dettagli. Un luogo romantico dove degustare piatti prelibati degni di nota. Dall'antipasto al dolce una sorpresa che sa stupire oltre ogni aspettativa. Consigliatissima la panna cotta come dolce, saprà di certo toccare le vette più alte e dolci del vostro cuore.

07/11/2023: Una bella cena, con piatti della tradizione altoatesina rivisitati. Buoni i dolci anche di castagne. Apprezzabili i vini base, a calice. Alimenti troppo salati per i nostri gusti. Non facile da raggiungere in auto, anche se vicinissimo a Merano centro

27/03/2024: The old and cozy restaurant alone is worth a visit. A look into the kitchen opposite and you know that I'm in the right place, that food can only be good. Many paths lead to the inn, the most beautiful is certainly along the Kuenser Waalweg. The warm friendliness makes you want to come back to this special place again and again.
