04/01/2026: We had a wonderful stay at the historic Finailhof, which I previously only knew as a summer stopover. The apartment was spacious, very comfortably furnished, and offered a breathtaking view. The wood-burning stove was lit every day. We enjoyed the varied breakfast in the dining room – always fresh cheese and ham, boiled eggs, fruit, and muesli, everything was there. The dumplings and Kaiserschmarren (shredded pancake) in the evening were also excellent.
A huge thank you to the whole family for their warm hospitality – we felt very comfortable and welcome, especially with our little screamer. The tour of the stables was also a highlight for our daughter and me. We will definitely be back!
03/01/2026: Excellent food, fair prices, beautiful lake view, but for us the wait was too long.
It's still worth it, perhaps after a nice walk along the trail.

28/12/2025: Amazing hotel in the most wonderful place. The view is just spectacular and staff of the hotel was the best.
Keep in mind that you may experience some issues with altitude such as headaches or increased pressure- but the location is worth a bit of discomfort.
Hotel is a bit older but you do not come here for luxury, more for experience.
Food was also excellent.
15/12/2025: Exceptionally good location – the atmosphere up on the mountain is unbeatable at any time of day or night.
The rooms are dated and very noisy.
The food is mediocre at best. The service in the restaurant is abysmal.

26/10/2025: After a wonderful hike, we visited the Bergl Alm and were thrilled! The location is stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. I would especially like to highlight the exceptionally friendly and attentive staff. The food was excellent; the South Tyrolean specialties are simply delicious. The portions are generous, and the value for money is good. The cozy atmosphere and the sun terrace are the perfect place to linger and relax—just the right place to recharge after a hike. The Bergl Alm is an absolute must for every hiker and mountain lover in Kurzras. We will definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend this place!

11/09/2025: Perfect for a tour in the Schnalstal Valley. We had a two-bedroom apartment. Everything was immaculately maintained. The breakfast was fantastic, so it was a complete success. A definite recommendation 👍👍👍
05/09/2025: We would like to sincerely thank the owners of the Remi Residence for our wonderful stay. The apartment is generously equipped with everything you need, as well as being clean and quiet.
We used the sauna and hot bath almost every evening to recharge after our hikes. We found it very accommodating that we were allowed to leave our car for a day, even though we had already checked out. The Gamper family also fulfilled all our other wishes.

30/10/2025: We were pleasantly surprised by the Rableid Alm! While most hikers bypass this rustic hut and continue on to the often overcrowded Eishof Hut, we enjoyed a wonderful break here. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious and authentic. The magnificent view of the Ötztal Alps is particularly impressive. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the perfect place. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back.
19/10/2025: Beautiful alpine pasture with a fantastic mountain panorama. Good value for money. I had gluten-free roasted potatoes with fried egg and bacon.

07/02/2026: A small, very nice hotel. The apartment was spacious and cleaned daily. The hotel has a ski storage room with boot ventilation, a spa area with a bio sauna, a Finnish sauna, a steam room, and an infrared cabin. There is also a pool. Half-board includes a breakfast buffet with scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, a variety of cereals, fruit salad and vegetables, quark, and a wide selection of cheeses, cold cuts, and jams. The selection of breads and rolls is equally extensive. In the evening, the bell rings for the five-course meal, which begins with a salad buffet that leaves nothing to be desired. In addition to yogurt dressing, there is a choice of various oils and vinegars for the dressings. The courses then follow, with a choice of only two main dishes, which is not a drawback, as good ingredients and an even better chef transform each course into a delight. The only downside: it takes 1.5 to 1.75 hours. For children, there's a playroom in the restaurant. We were very impressed, but hope that the snow removal on the slopes will be taken more seriously on our next visit. Anyone who's already afraid of falling due to injuries needs slip-free slopes. The high number of repeat guests demonstrates the hotel's consistent quality.
04/02/2026: We stayed at the hotel as a group of six. The staff were incredibly friendly. The rooms were clean. The spa area was fantastic, the breakfast very good, and the dinner perfect! There was a free ski bus to Kurzras, and to our surprise, there was even free cake with afternoon coffee! A hotel we'll definitely return to!

15/12/2025: I highly recommend it. It's a family-run hotel. The food is fantastic. They speak German, Italian, and English. There's a Czech employee you can speak Polish with. There's a Finnish sauna and steam room available.
14/12/2025: The location is fantastic, the team is super friendly and accommodating 👍, congratulations! The food is absolutely delicious, a bit dated but perfectly fine. The pool was pretty cool, the price-performance ratio is excellent, a great base for skiing, hiking, and shopping in the valley (bacon, cheese, Swiss pine, apple strudel, syrup, apples, bread, and wine...).
We'd love to come back...
Next time in the summer!

22/12/2025: Magnificent place, delicious dinner, only flaws are the pool water a little too cold and the presence of rude children who scream without any of the staff saying anything, with the price you pay you should be able to relax and instead unfortunately it was not possible due to too much screaming.
18/10/2025: A simply perfect 5-night stay!
The room was beautiful, tastefully decorated, and always impeccably clean. Every evening, a five-course dinner awaited us, all delicious and meticulously prepared—special mention for the desserts, truly spectacular!
The spa is a true slice of paradise: a large heated outdoor pool to enjoy the view, two saunas, a heated whirlpool tub, a Turkish bath, and two large relaxation areas where you can completely regenerate.
An unforgettable experience in every way. I highly recommend Hotel Tonzhaus to anyone seeking relaxation, quality, and the highest level of hospitality.

Residence Texel Bar Pizzeria

01/03/2026: The accommodation is in a beautiful location, and the apartments (S and XL) are well laid out, but they are very noisy.
We liked the pizzeria.
Unfortunately, the apartments were not clean.
The landlady was nice, but unfortunately unreliable. Despite prior arrangements, we had to wait more than two hours upon arrival and were only able to get in touch with her through staff at the valley station.
Those seeking peace and quiet might have problems with the noise level in the evenings and at night. Contrary to the stated opening hours, the pizzeria is sometimes open until after midnight, and there are loud parties going on.
01/03/2026: Well-located accommodation with a peculiar landlady – only conditionally recommended
The accommodation is in a relatively quiet location in Unsere Frau am Sportzentrum (an ice skating rink in winter).
In addition to the XL apartment, we had booked the S apartment for my sister. Unfortunately, our landlady wasn't very keen on guests; not only did she fail to show up for the key handover as agreed (she couldn't be reached by phone and had to be located with the help of some locals), but the apartments weren't very clean and were in a somewhat run-down condition (e.g., loose cupboard doors in the kitchen). Only the bathrooms appeared to be recently renovated.
... Despite the neighboring ice rink, we had restful, quiet evenings (the rink closes at 10:00 PM) – except for the last evening. According to the sign, the pizzeria below the apartments closes at 10:00 PM, but on that Friday, loud music played much later. When we asked our landlady (around 11:30 PM) what time we could go to sleep, she brushed us off, saying she couldn't answer that because her license only allowed her to stay open until 3:00 AM.
Luckily, it was our last night there, and we certainly won't be repeating it. (3 stars for location, layout, view, and quiet from Saturday to Thursday.)
