29/06/2026: Beautiful mountain hut with excellent food!!
24/05/2026: Parked in Vernago (large paid parking lot near the lake). Trail No. 13, which takes two hours to the mountain hut, starts on the other shore (take the road that connects the parking lot to the opposite shore along the lake wall). The first part of the trail is quite steep, but the rest is flat. The route is scenic. The mountain hut is a beautiful traditional wooden building. Plenty of outdoor tables, but the dining room is small. There's a play area for children. The location offers a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. The service was prompt. The cuisine is typically Trentino. We ate really well: everything was delicious and the portions were generous. Beef goulash with rice, speck, cheese, and onion omelette. Apple strudel with vanilla cream, and a trio of semifreddos (hazelnut, strawberry, and orange). All dishes were freshly prepared with local, fresh ingredients.
Highly recommended!!!

06/07/2026: We stayed at Residence Remi for a hiking holiday as a couple and it was excellent. Many thanks to the Gamper family for the wonderful holiday. You can tell they put their heart and soul into this place. Highly recommended!
02/03/2026: Convenient residence to the slopes, 10 minutes away. The apartment is spacious, clean, and recently renovated. The owner is very kind. Highly recommended.

23/06/2026: A very beautiful hike from Kurzras to the Lazaunhütte.
21/06/2026: Today we tackled the hike to the Lazaunhütte in beautiful weather ☀️. Along the way, the hut owner, Armin, made it a wonderful experience for my friend's mother. Since the cable cars weren't running yet, she wouldn't have been able to make the climb. He gave her a lift to the hut in his all-wheel-drive vehicle. A huge thank you again 😍 for that!
We then enjoyed the stunning views of the surrounding mountains 😎⛰️☀️ and ate delicious bacon dumplings with coleslaw. Absolutely delicious, I highly recommend it.
A very nice location with excellent service.

Glacier Hotel Grawand

09/04/2026: I was there last year with my young daughter, and she came down with gastroenteritis during our holiday. The staff were incredibly helpful and constantly checked on her well-being. They even arranged for a doctor to see us and helped us find temporary accommodation in the valley.
While some rooms may be a bit dated (as other reviews have mentioned), the service and friendliness of the staff were exceptionally good in our case!
30/03/2026: Amazing stay at the highest hotel in Europe at 3200 meters. Just 30 plus rooms on top of the glacier - amazing views and you have the mountain and hotel to yourself after last cable car at 4pm

30/10/2025: We were pleasantly surprised by the Rableid Alm! While most hikers bypass this rustic hut and continue on to the often overcrowded Eishof Hut, we enjoyed a wonderful break here. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious and authentic. The magnificent view of the Ötztal Alps is particularly impressive. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the perfect place. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back.
19/10/2025: Beautiful alpine pasture with a fantastic mountain panorama. Good value for money. I had gluten-free roasted potatoes with fried egg and bacon.

23/06/2026: We started and finished our hike on the Merano High Trail here – fittingly with a delicious Campari Spritz. The cappuccino was just as good, as was the pinsa. Add to that a very friendly hostess and team, sunny and shady spots, and plenty of local guests, which is always a good sign.
02/06/2026: We had fantastic coffee specialties and tiramisu.
The pinsa looked really good too.
I would definitely come back here anytime.

30/10/2025: The Lazaunhütte is an absolute gem in the South Tyrolean mountains! The terrace offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Lanzun Glacier – you could gaze at this magnificent mountain scenery forever.
We were particularly impressed by the excellent food. The quality and taste of the dishes far exceeded our expectations. You can tell that the food is prepared with passion and high-quality ingredients.
Another highlight was the entertaining and warm conversation with the owner. This personal touch makes the visit a special experience, and you immediately feel welcome.
Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience authentic South Tyrolean hospitality in a spectacular mountain setting.
22/10/2025: Great, friendly service. Superb food. The table barbecue in summer is especially recommended. Reservations required.

07/02/2026: A small, very nice hotel. The apartment was spacious and cleaned daily. The hotel has a ski storage room with boot ventilation, a spa area with a bio sauna, a Finnish sauna, a steam room, and an infrared cabin. There is also a pool. Half-board includes a breakfast buffet with scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, a variety of cereals, fruit salad and vegetables, quark, and a wide selection of cheeses, cold cuts, and jams. The selection of breads and rolls is equally extensive. In the evening, the bell rings for the five-course meal, which begins with a salad buffet that leaves nothing to be desired. In addition to yogurt dressing, there is a choice of various oils and vinegars for the dressings. The courses then follow, with a choice of only two main dishes, which is not a drawback, as good ingredients and an even better chef transform each course into a delight. The only downside: it takes 1.5 to 1.75 hours. For children, there's a playroom in the restaurant. We were very impressed, but hope that the snow removal on the slopes will be taken more seriously on our next visit. Anyone who's already afraid of falling due to injuries needs slip-free slopes. The high number of repeat guests demonstrates the hotel's consistent quality.
04/02/2026: We stayed at the hotel as a group of six. The staff were incredibly friendly. The rooms were clean. The spa area was fantastic, the breakfast very good, and the dinner perfect! There was a free ski bus to Kurzras, and to our surprise, there was even free cake with afternoon coffee! A hotel we'll definitely return to!

15/12/2025: I highly recommend it. It's a family-run hotel. The food is fantastic. They speak German, Italian, and English. There's a Czech employee you can speak Polish with. There's a Finnish sauna and steam room available.
14/12/2025: The location is fantastic, the team is super friendly and accommodating 👍, congratulations! The food is absolutely delicious, a bit dated but perfectly fine. The pool was pretty cool, the price-performance ratio is excellent, a great base for skiing, hiking, and shopping in the valley (bacon, cheese, Swiss pine, apple strudel, syrup, apples, bread, and wine...).
We'd love to come back...
Next time in the summer!

Residence Texel Bar Pizzeria

01/03/2026: The accommodation is in a beautiful location, and the apartments (S and XL) are well laid out, but they are very noisy.
We liked the pizzeria.
Unfortunately, the apartments were not clean.
The landlady was nice, but unfortunately unreliable. Despite prior arrangements, we had to wait more than two hours upon arrival and were only able to get in touch with her through staff at the valley station.
Those seeking peace and quiet might have problems with the noise level in the evenings and at night. Contrary to the stated opening hours, the pizzeria is sometimes open until after midnight, and there are loud parties going on.
01/03/2026: Well-located accommodation with a peculiar landlady – only conditionally recommended
The accommodation is in a relatively quiet location in Unsere Frau am Sportzentrum (an ice skating rink in winter).
In addition to the XL apartment, we had booked the S apartment for my sister. Unfortunately, our landlady wasn't very keen on guests; not only did she fail to show up for the key handover as agreed (she couldn't be reached by phone and had to be located with the help of some locals), but the apartments weren't very clean and were in a somewhat run-down condition (e.g., loose cupboard doors in the kitchen). Only the bathrooms appeared to be recently renovated.
... Despite the neighboring ice rink, we had restful, quiet evenings (the rink closes at 10:00 PM) – except for the last evening. According to the sign, the pizzeria below the apartments closes at 10:00 PM, but on that Friday, loud music played much later. When we asked our landlady (around 11:30 PM) what time we could go to sleep, she brushed us off, saying she couldn't answer that because her license only allowed her to stay open until 3:00 AM.
Luckily, it was our last night there, and we certainly won't be repeating it. (3 stars for location, layout, view, and quiet from Saturday to Thursday.)

25/06/2026: We stayed one night and received a very warm welcome from the lovely lady of the house!
There's a variety of dinner options for guests, and they were delicious! Breakfast was also prepared with great care and included a selection of homemade items. The bread rolls are really good 😍
The rooms were very clean and tidy 👍
The restaurant is open for lunch from 12 pm to 2 pm; it's definitely worth stopping by 🤤

The food was delicious.
The price/performance ratio is good.
The only downside was that I didn't find the server particularly friendly!
It was different in the adjoining bistro across the street!
