10/02/2025: I had eaten a tartare accompanied by bubbles in this restaurant during my short stop in Chiusi, the choice was made because the place is a stone's throw from the station. Having to go to the spa in Chianciano I remembered how much I had liked the place and I returned. Given that there are also options for those who don't like fish, I who love it preferred an excellent raw fish followed by two tartares, one fantastic with red prawns from Mazzara del Vallo and strawberries and another with tuna and kiwi. Explosions of freshness in your mouth! The meal was accompanied by the inevitable bubbles and ended with a delicious Lemon Delight. Excellent service and very nice decor. I would return to Chiusi just to eat here... well done!

24/03/2025: We first discovered La Solita Zuppa in June 2019, during a stay at the nearby Poggio Piglia. Our initial visit was for lunch — and it was so wonderful that we ended up returning for dinner every evening of that stay except for one. Andrea, the owner, was warm and knowledgeable, entertaining us with stories about the evolution of Tuscan cuisine and offering thoughtful recommendations from the menu and anecdotes about the ingredients. The restaurant itself is charmingly decorated, with a beautiful vaulted brick ceiling and little green gingham details. Andrea's wife is the chef, and every dish — from the simple yet perfectly executed tomato and garlic pici, to the elegant gnudi with sage and the richly flavoured ginger ravioli — was cooked to absolute perfection. We discovered the influence of Italy's ancient connection with the Silk Road still alive today in many of the dishes. All through the pandemic and unable to travel, we promised ourselves we’d return one day. And in August 2024, we finally repeated the same trip, again staying at Poggio Piglia and once again dining at La Solita Zuppa each night. While there had been some small changes since covid, including the addition of a cute little terrace, we were delighted to find Andrea and his wife still running the restaurant, and many of the dishes we had dreamt about (and even tried to recreate at home) still on the menu. The entire experience was just as amazing as we had remembered, if not even better. The restaurant was definitely busier than it had been during our last trip, which was wonderful to see, and our only single disappointment was that Andrea was far too busy with all of our fellow diners to spend very much time at our table. On our last evening he recommended us the wine 'Vigna Flavia' from a small vineyard in Chiusi, which was so wonderful that we now regularly order cases of it to enjoy at home in Switzerland. Our favourites on the menu (I think we managed to try everything!) were the gnudi with sage (sometimes served with truffle), the ginger ravioli with poppy seeds, the garlic pici, the maiale with rosemary and honey, and the sformato which we also had once served with black truffle. We are real foodies and have eaten in all kinds of restaurants all over the world, from three star Michelin establishments to street food stands, always searching for places that blow us away. There is something very special about La Solita Zuppa and the honesty of the place, the inventiveness of the menu and yet its embrace of tradition. Italian food at its BEST. We hope to return again!

22/01/2025: It's exciting to see how much passion Paolo and his family put into this activity! Well-kept and spacious pitches, hot bathroom with all comforts, ready to suggest some visits to the surrounding area. Their products are delicious! From wine to jams, oil and honey. We spent two days in their rest area and we can't say enough good things about it!!!! At the camper area level they are just starting out, they want to learn and are looking for suggestions. They are ready to accept advice because they put their heart into what they do!!!!! Cheers guys!!! A hug

22/01/2025: Few times in our experience as campers have we found hospitality, courtesy, professionalism on the part of the owners and quality of the structure. The price of the pitch is excellent for the services provided: large and with gravel that helps you avoid getting muddy in case of rain, heated and clean bathroom, private electricity and water column, impeccable service. We were unable to do the wine tasting due to our limited time but we hope to return soon. Paolo and his partner have quicksilver in their eyes, well done! Pablo & family

22/03/2025: It's not the first time we come back and we are happy to make a detour for them. In addition to an excellent welcome, it is always nice to discover dishes with seasonal products and precious ingredients protected by the slowfood presidium. The respect for these ingredients is evident in every dish, where the original flavors of tradition are enhanced, making known the excellences of the surrounding area and nationally. The tiramisu for me was a revelation: I never eat it at the restaurant because I never find that homely flavor, but I trusted Mrs. Tiziana and that is a 10. Absolutely recommended. We will return again without doubt.

21/03/2025: This tavern is located in the center of Chiusi, and overlooks a small and charming square. The restaurant has a small room on the entrance floor and another small room in the basement adjacent to a discreet cellar. The dining rooms are furnished in a sober and elegant way. The dining room staff is very kind and trained. The menu offers typical dishes of Tuscan cuisine, among which the pici with white meat ragù and the guinea fowl in a pan stand out. The cellar offers many fine labels. Among the desserts, it is worth trying the lattaiolo of the ancient Tuscan tradition. A special mention is due to the chef who takes care of all her dishes with passion. The quality-price ratio is balanced. Finally, at this tavern it is possible to buy zero-mile products, coming from the property's land, such as oil, vinegar, legumes, cereals, wine and many others.

01/02/2025: Personale gentile e disponibile. Purtroppo chiediamo una tagliata ma non è disponibile quindi ci adattiamo e scegliamo altro. Riescono a recuperare solo 1 filetto per me (nulla di che ma ho apprezzato). Concordo come contorno dei cavoletti ma accanto alla carne arrivano patate, 1 tortino di verdure, 1 tornino di patate, 2 carotine baby, 1 cipolla e 2 (2 di numero) cavoletti … Ho chiesto un secondo ed un semplice contorno di cavoletti ma perché - mi chiedo - mi portate solo 2 cavoletti e cose che non ho chiesto e che non potevo mangiare (le ha mangiate mio marito). Ascoltate il cliente … non pensate ai piatti decorativi. Se il cliente vuole una cosa e l’avete, portate quella.

16/03/2025: Ho trovato l'offerta su thefork ed ho prenotato a pranzo. Il locale è stile anni 80 con molte cianfrusaglie all'interno però siamo stati molto bene,dovevamo fare un pranzetto al volo quindi non ho fatto caso a ciò che dicevano le recensioni. Ma l'odore di sporco e di vecchio non si è sentito. Comunque il menù è bello e della tradizione toscana. Il servizio è veloce niènte da dire. Pure la proprietaria è molto simpatica mostrandoci la sala/pub dedicata al mondo vespa. Prezzi onesti e porzioni adeguate. Grazie sonto del 20% con thefork. Se ripasserò in zona certo che mi fermerò. Pici buonissimi e fiorentina eccezionale

21/03/2025: The trattoria is located near the Chiusi train station. It has a large room and an adjoining room on the veranda. The decor is typical of Tuscan trattorias, with old tools for agricultural work hanging on the walls. The dining room staff, all female, is very kind and welcoming. The table service is perfect. The menu offers typical dishes of the Tuscan tradition. The hand-made pici with duck sauce and the meat are very good, especially the tagliata with excellent local porcini mushrooms. And to finish the meal, the cantucci are truly delicious. The trattoria also offers a fair number of wine labels. The quality-price ratio is balanced.

13/03/2025: A quaint Italian restaurant with excellent food, quality service, and affordable prices. My wife and I found this restaurant based on the reviews, and it lived up to the hype. Servers were very accommodating despite the fact that we only knew a little Italian. The food was excellent. Caprese was super fresh, boar rague was out of this world, and my wife loved her white pizza. We would highly recommend it. We paid twice as much at a different restaurant half as good. You won't have that problem here.

18/02/2025: Qui fare ristorazione è una cosa seria! Si parte da una conoscenza profonda degli ingredienti che entrano in cucina, dalla loro provenienza, al loro utilizzo e storia. Unisci questa sapienza ad una grande passione per la cucina ed otterrai un connubio perfetto tra tradizione ed innovazione, abbinamenti nuovi e accattivanti operati però senza improvvisati azzardi, nel rispetto della qualità delle materie prime. Il servizio impeccabile, sotto l'occhio sempre attento e mai invadente delle eccezionali addette alla sala, confeziona la festa che una tavola sempre deve rappresentare. Se ancora vi manca questa esperienza, mettetela in agenda!!!
