01/03/2026: We chose La Solita Zuppa restaurant in the historic center of Chiusi, drawn by the excellent reviews, and we can say that our expectations were fully met. I highly recommend making a reservation: the restaurant filled up quickly, and without a reservation you risk being disappointed. We were greeted with great warmth and escorted to our table in a well-kept, clean environment with attention to detail, even in the table setting. The service was impeccable: the waitress immediately offered water and clearly explained how to consult the menu via QR code. We chose traditional dishes: pici, soup, and a truly delicious osso buco. Everything was perfect, beautifully presented, and above all, delicious. The coffee was also splendid, served alongside homemade sweets, a selection of sugars, and chocolates: an elegant and much-appreciated finishing touch. A truly perfect choice. Congratulations and thanks to all the staff!

20/02/2026: We are group of four went to the La Solitaire Zappa on Saturday 14th February. As soon as entering, we were welcomed by the staff and the owner. Being so patient and enthusiastic about food, the owner explained everything that we ought to know before ordering our meals. I felt like we had entered a food museum with so many things that we’ve learned about food in Tuscany. The menu includes so many choices, and eventually we ordered fried artichokes, cold meats, pasta with truffles, stewed beef cheeks with grape leaves and more, plus a bottle of 15 years old wine. All dishes came with beautiful presentations and tasted delicious; the service was prompt and professional; the price was reasonable… We left the restaurant with complete satisfaction, and would love to go back again soon.

19/01/2026: A small, elegantly decorated restaurant, ethical, organic food, and a very good location. Local products are on sale. Many of the dishes are packaged in special felt boxes, which are also for sale. Perhaps the only restaurant worth visiting in Chiusi.

26/10/2025: On our visit to Chiusi, which was our final stop for this visit to Tuscany, including a visit to the museums, which were all very interesting, we ate at this Osteria, which was simply brilliant! The food, the friendly service in a restaurant run by women, was fantastic, so brilliant that we went back today, Sunday, and will return tomorrow, Monday. We're delighted to have discovered this place! Congratulations for being so generous!

03/01/2026: A very unique place, but overcrowded. A mix of confusing and unclear styles. Perhaps it started out as a repair shop, otherwise I can't quite make sense of the connection between the restaurant and the machines in the dining room. There's limited seating. There's a small outdoor parking lot. We hadn't booked, so after waiting a few minutes for a table, we left. The waiters weren't very friendly and left us there with a curt "wait to see if there's room." We looked at the menu and found it expensive, like all the other places in the area.

11/05/2025: Creo que este lugar era el único restaurante abierto el domingo a las 11 am, tal vez antes. La web dice abierto a las 6 am. Los otros restaurantes de la ciudad dijeron que estaban abiertos en Google, pero no lo estaban. Orden de los bocadillos mostrados. Usualmente justo, barato, chica de mostrador hablaba bastante buen inglés y era amable y paciente. Comer dentro y fuera. Lo recomendaría.

03/02/2026: We had this gem close to home and didn't know it! The restaurant is housed in a charming historic building. More precisely, in what were once the stables of the hunting lodge of Leopold II, the Grand Duke of Tuscany. Everything was excellent, from the ambiance, to the welcome, to the food, to the wine 🍷... We recommend it. We'll definitely be back...

27/12/2025: A refined and distinctive restaurant nestled in the Tuscan countryside within the ancient Grand Ducal stables in Dolciano, just minutes from Chiusi. The ambiance is charming and refined, with rustic and elegant details that create a welcoming and memorable atmosphere for special lunches or dinners.

07/02/2026: At Bucchero you truly feel at home, a restaurant nestled in the charming streets of ancient Chiusi with a delightful little garden featuring a beautiful grape pergola. The owner welcomes you with kindness and affability... and you eat truly well, in great simplicity and joy. The Tuscan-style cod is exquisite... the picci with duck or garlic are wonderful... all the traditional dishes of Tuscan-Umbrian cuisine are cooked like at home... there is also pizza for those who want it... and the Tuscan-style Florentine steak is truly unsurpassed, very tender, like the fillet with bucchero... the house wine is also excellent and well-priced. I recommend it.

I don't know what the wine is like because I don't drink alcohol if I have to drive like so many others do in Italy who then crash into guardrails and kill innocent people... 🤷 If you have to drive to Milan and already start drinking wine here, I don't know how far you'll go... ..hoping you don't kill innocent people.. 🤷

20/12/2025: The portions were really small, both for the entrees and the side dishes. Unfortunately, we didn't take photos, but the portions weren't like the ones pictured here. A meager portion of fries for €4.50 is definitely too much. The place is very nice, and the service is quick.
