27/08/2024: Enchanting restaurant where everything is just right. The menu (1 Michelin star) is excellently coordinated, the wine list is huge and full of real treasures. The service is courteous and personal. Apart from the small weakness that we had to refill our own wine and water twice, there was nothing to complain about at the high level. The atmosphere is beautiful, just like the hotel where we were guests. Priced at the upper end for 1* (2 people around 650 EUR including drinks), but definitely recommended as an overall package - will come again.

18/08/2024: Stunning location as well as terrible three-star service, completely absent service at the pool, embarrassing breakfast buffet, poor room cleaning and makeover. In my opinion, those who manage it do not know the hotel service, just the location and the rooms are not enough, the adequate service must be provided.

24/07/2024: Rapporto qualità /prezzo imbattibile. Si mangiano i migliori piatti della tradizione Toscana in un ambiente grazioso e accogliente, semplice ma molto curato. Strepitosi i pici, la carne è morbidissima. Il servizio è familiare, ma attento e molto gentile.

07/07/2024: Di passaggio da Castelnuovo Berardenga ci siamo fermati attratti dai tavoli esterni molti occupati lavoratori locali... in effetti abbiamo mangiato benissimo e speso il giusto. Memorabili i pici all'aglione con pomodoro fresco !!! Servizio un pò lento ma noi non avevamo fretta di tornare al lavoro

09/07/2024: We have been going back to the Ristorante Enoteca Villa di Sotto for 3 years in a row now. It has been a highlight every time to dine at this special place. I always start my reviews with mentioning the staff and the hospitality of a place. The family, who owns this restaurant as well as the staff has a special understanding of what hospitality means. They are warm, tending, welcoming people with so much to offer to the guests. They take very special care of getting your orders and wishes right and make sure you understand what exactly is that you are ordering. They entertain the guests with stories of the restaurant, the venue, how the dishes were created and of course their old dog, who is just the sweetest thing ever… (They also know, when to give you privacy) The restaurant and the menu is created in the way that gluten and lactose intolerant people can enjoy it as much as someone without any dietary restrictions. If they know in advance they even prepare for the person. Both nights we were there I had an amazing bruschetta selection as a starter and first I’ve tried the mixed beef ragu and the next day the wild bore ragu with gluten free rigatoni. It was heavenly. They have mandarin and lemon sorbet as well, therefore you have the option to get a dessert even-if you cannot or would not like to eat dairy. We ended up going back two times in a row. (Again.) I thank you for the amazing Tuscan experience!! We will be back for more! ❤️

30/06/2024: Llegamos sin reserva y gracias a Carla, camarera super profesional, conseguimos mesa. Todo lo que puedo contar a partir de aquí, todo impresionante, las vistas, los compañeros de Carla, las recomendaciones, en particular la tempura, aunque la pasta no se queda atrás, en definitiva un lugar maravilloso que no debes perderte.

27/08/2024: Unfortunately, the del Grigio cannot keep up with the otherwise high standards of the Borgo San Felice. The food is good, but too expensive for the quality offered. The wine list, on the other hand, is great and extremely extensive. Service: Unfortunately only OK, seems a bit rushed and erratic - perhaps adapted to the large number of guests from the USA who dine there. We once had Bistecca di Fiorentina (150 EUR, very good), once pizza (25 EUR, not recommended at all) and once lamb (approx. 35 EUR, good but comes without side dishes which cost another 15-20 EUR per side dish). ). It's not a location you have to go to, but if you're a guest in the hotel, it's convenient. However, next time we would look outside for an Osteria.
