09/02/2025: I never expected to find such a particular restaurant in a historic village of medieval origin in Asciano. The visible embers and the cut of the meat in show cooking as well as the cold cuts and cheese platters make everything very instagrammable, but I would have expected Tuscan meat and not German one like the one I ate (Simmental) with TAGLIO Fiorentina, therefore not a REAL Fiorentina. All in all we ate well but the price was too high, around €100 per person for 2 appetizers, 1 simmental (meat) cut Fiorentina 1kg and around €300 for a potato and radicchio as a side dish and a €35 wine
Ps we recommend arriving by 12.30pm max 1.00pm they close early on Sundays for lunch.

04/01/2025: Cute restaurant in Asciano with simple good dishes. The staff was friendly and you can also eat there with a larger group.
05/12/2024: Locale nel centro storico non dispone di parcheggio.
Accessibile comodamente, si presenta in ordine e pulito, come pure i servizi igienici.
Menù vario toscano, all'assaggio non è il classico standard ma presenta qualche variante sul tema.
Negli antipasti ( crostini) la cosa funziona, nei piatti a volte un pò meno ( trippa con zafferano).
Peccato per la lunga attesa dei piatti, sia gli antipasti che le altre portate.
Prezzo nella norma.
In conclusione un buon punto di appoggio ma senza eccellenze

05/11/2024: Tuscan cuisine but also really delicious pizza!!! 🤤 We tried ribollita and first courses (pumpkin gnocchi recommended) but also the appetizers, especially to try the Mencia fantasy.
And then a beautiful location in the historic center of Asciano

29/01/2025: The place is a combination of many food items, bars and pizzerias. The manager is very friendly and nice. In the window there is a large choice of desserts from tarts to Nutella pizza. Good assortment of cooked stuffing, sausage but also with truffles and margherita pizza. Normal coffee and honest prices. If you are in the area it is worth a stop for a snack.

25/11/2024: Cada plato increíble, generoso sirve y grandes precios gran vino local también 10 / 10 la sopa de fagoli y filete de carne increíble!
20/11/2024: Este restaurante era perfecto para nosotros después de nuestra visita a la Abadía Monte Oliveto Maggiore. El servicio fue genial, y pudimos superar nuestros dos cursos a tiempo para nuestro taxi programado. El servidor era servicial y sugirió la bruschetta especial con aceite de oliva recién prensado para ‘24 , que era de hecho divertido de experimentar. El vino de la abadía estaba disponible para un toque adicional. La sopa de frijoles fue excepcional, y me encantó probar el pici (la pasta fresca de especialidad de Siene). También comimos una deliciosa ensalada verde con tomates, aceitunas y queso, y vino aderezada con un aceite de oliva tan ligero pero perfecto, vinagre, sal y pimienta. Incluso logramos una foto del cocinero y el servidor, ambos miembros de la familia que me dijeron que ha dirigido el restaurante desde 1964. Buen vino también. Disfruta! ¡Ojalá pudiera comer allí esta noche!

08/10/2024: Siamo stati domenica 6 ottobre in questa osteria che benché sia un po' datata offre una splendida vista sulle Crete senesi. Il personale è gentilissimo e i prezzi veramente molto onesti. Forse non c è molta scelta ma trattandosi di un osteria credo che sia prevedibile. Noi siamo stati veramente bene e i tempi di attesa non sono stati neanche lunghi. Lo consiglio.

19/12/2024: Terrible service, waitress was angsty and rude even before we sat down. They’re only nice to regulars it seems. Food is pretty subpar and portions aren’t very big. Food waiting time is very long. Pork was very fatty and undercooked. They refuse to let you pay by card.
10/12/2024: Fairly dated place. Service is not exactly impeccable. Suitable place for a quick and cheap work lunch.
