09/04/2026: Nice and welcoming, with the feel of a luxury restaurant, they pampered us with a welcome aperitif, entree, and pre-dessert, but the dishes were quite average, not exceptional.
Excellent service.
07/04/2026: A beautiful, quiet, and comfortable venue. Very high quality down to the last detail. Truly excellent food and adequate wines. The staff is knowledgeable yet friendly. The prices are commensurate with the quality, high but perfectly reasonable. It's almost always sold out on weekends, so reservations are a must.

04/02/2026: Two of us went for dinner, and the welcome was top notch. You walk in and they make you feel at home. The food is excellent, the vegetable flan is truly spectacular. You can taste the quality of the ingredients, and the cured meats in the appetizer are very flavorful and fragrant. I've been wanting to try the tortelli lucchesi again for a long time, and I found them to be amazing: they took me back to when I first tasted them.
The place is small (as the name suggests) and typical of an osteria. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and they didn't miss a thing.
Nothing "posh," but very "easy."
A huge selection of wines. The owner is also very friendly and knowledgeable.
Plus, it's in the center of Monte Carlo, so a stroll downtown after dinner is sure to impress.
Parking is a bit far, because being right in the center of this magnificent medieval village, you can't expect to park right in front of the entrance, but those 2-3 minutes' walk are worth every penny.
Price: Osteria-like. Despite the excellent quality, the prices are very reasonable. As with everything else, you should consider the wine you choose; there are wines at all price points. But overall, it's a good value for the quality.
You'll also find specials of the day and perhaps even wine deals: ask for advice and you'll be more than satisfied.

29/10/2025: The best gnocchi we've ever had. The Calzone Imbottito was also excellent. The Crema Catalan was better than any creme brule I've ever had! Ask for it with the Grand Marnier flambe. The owner was very welcoming and answered my wide-ranging questions in excellent English. We came back the next night and were equally impressed.

31/07/2025: We choose this vineyard because not many does sparkling and we wanted to go to one that does it. It turns out to be amazing. We really enjoyed the tasting and the selection. Staff were friendly and experience. We even got more bottles than we planned. Would highly recommend this place.

16/02/2026: I celebrated my graduation here and can only leave a super positive review. Excellent food, generous portions, a room reserved exclusively for the celebrant until 1 a.m. (not a given for venues in the Lucca plain), and buffet service with a truly kind and friendly lady.
Six years ago, I celebrated my eighteenth birthday here, in the summer, in the cabin, and I had a great experience then too. This time, given the winter season, I chose the enclosed room and can fully confirm my positive assessment of the evening.
Highly recommended!
25/12/2025: We stayed there for two nights, and it was enough…
First, we arrive at the prescribed time and had to wait an hour and a half because the staff does not live there and the lady was very late…
Second, the rooms where nice and spacious, but the kitchen was heavily under equipped… Maybe it is a strategy to get you to go to the restaurant ?
Third, it was a very hot summer and the air-conditioning was not working… The staff came to look at it and he was very nice about it, but nothing he could do to repair… He offered us to use the pool to cool off, and then the staff gave us a bad review on airbb because we went into the pool after hour which is their fault For not providing the service they claim to have.
Four, The tenant under us had dogs that kept barking all night and the restaurant was buzzing, which we can understand and accept, but without the air-conditioning working, we had to keep the window open, and the noise was unbearable…
Overall, it was a bad experience and I would not recommend this establishment…

08/06/2025: Da baffo si vive un’atmosfera amichevole e informale.
Posto da favola immerso nella collina toscana, si mangia sotto un pergolato di tavolini in compagnia al tavolo anche di persone sconosciute.
Gino il Baffo è in ottimo gestore, a fine serata ti dedica qualche minuto bevendo un bicchiere di vin santo insieme.

È ottimo sotto ogni aspetto, dal personale, alla location e non ultimo il cibo.
In estate c’è la possibilità di mangiare all’esterno così da potersi godere la vista, mentre nel periodo invernale ci sono le stanze interne arredate in modo molto accurato e che rendono l’atmosfera accogliente.
Il cibo è ottimo e preparato con estrema cura e passione. Da celiaca, ciò su cui voglio porre l’accento è l’attenzione che tutto il personale ha verso il senza glutine, essendo molto preparati sull’argomento. Ci sono molte opzioni, tutte buone ma una nota speciale è la focaccia fresca senza glutine fatta da loro.
