PIZZERIA Bar MAURO In Montecarlo

Wandering the streets around Altopascio and looking for a place to eat, Google Maps, bless it, recommended this place. We arrived and found a beautiful panoramic spot, we immediately found parking (a miracle), and the lady even found room for five of us (tired and hungry dancers). First, I asked for a spuma (spuma = sparkling wine), which I hadn't had in ages, and no one said anything to me if I went to drink it on the bench in front of the place. We sat down, and they brought us a menu with many pizzas. We decided on an appetizer, and each of us chose our own pizza. It's unique, you eat it with your hands. We also had some excellent desserts and spent very little. The pizza has a special dough that doesn't puff up, it's thin and crispy (it's delicious), and most importantly, it didn't make my blood sugar spike. I'd go back tomorrow if I weren't 300 km away (but I will when I'm in the area).

Group dinner with families, kids, and coaches. Professional welcome and service, very good focaccia, pizza, and cured meats. Everything arrived quickly. Wide selection of desserts. Excellent value. And for this African-like season, it's worth noting that the restaurant is equipped with peels, and thanks to its location, it's a pleasant place to stay in the evening.
