16/10/2025: Excellent restaurant with fresh local produce, cooked with love and professionalism. The atmosphere is very welcoming and makes you feel at home. The owners are always available to help with any changes. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

15/10/2025: Very good regional dishes. There's also a German menu, but you should order the Italian one. The dishes in German are different than you'd expect. Luckily, we had a local with us who explained everything to us.

05/10/2025: Ate here again today. Everything was excellent, the pizza was very good, and the antipasti was also excellent. The service was friendly and attentive. The house red wine was also delicious. We'd be happy to come back another time.

03/10/2025: Went for a wedding early Sept and everything was fabulous! Gorgeous location, lovely staff, great food. Although it rained on wedding day, the vibe was fun and ended up with an hour of sunshine. Nice communal areas and great food. Loved the pool also.

30/09/2025: The restaurant overlooks a small piazza overlooking the surrounding hills. It's a small stone hamlet filled with cats. Family-run, it serves well-prepared traditional dishes. A good local wine list and an authentic Tuscan atmosphere, without gimmicks. A very kind lady and her two equally kind young daughters are at the helm. The evening breeze and starry sky complete the picture.

23/09/2025: A beautiful place, I recommend arriving just before sunset so you can admire it. Quality traditional cuisine. When I'm in the area again, I'll definitely be back. (It's so sweet, get the pizza with mozzarella, banana, and Nutella.)

13/10/2025: A group of six people from the province of Milan are spending a weekend in Tuscany to unplug from the daily grind. A sublime experience, with a quintessential Tuscan atmosphere and delicious traditional dishes. The owner is a real asset to the restaurant, always available to guests who want something a little more. It's a shame it's over 400 km from home, but if we ever get back, a stop is a must. A heartfelt thank you to the couple who run this place.

24/09/2025: We asked at the Torniella bar and they told us about this restaurant. The waitresses were very welcoming and professional. The tortelli maremmani and tagliatelle ai funghi were fantastic. Congratulations, we'll definitely be back. Affordable prices for excellent food. Careful and welcoming atmosphere.

11/05/2025: I went to Giannino's with about ten friends and the experience was excellent! Although the place is very simple and unpretentious, what we ate was delicious. Between Donatella's cuisine and Giannino's service, you can be sure of having an excellent, warm and welcoming dining experience. If I'm back in the area I will definitely stop by. The Osteria da Giannino warms the heart and makes the tummy happy!

From the magnificent view from the outdoor terrace to the friendly welcome and the excellent 🍽️ menu, everything at "Al Castello" is just right. 👍🏾 We spontaneously arrived before the regular opening (the opening hours were communicated differently on Google), but weren't turned away. Instead, we were seated on the outdoor terrace at our express request. For most of the guests who arrived later, the evening was apparently already too chilly (they all stayed inside), but we really enjoyed the 18-20 degrees Celsius in the middle of October. The welcome nuts and chips were a bit untypical for Maremma, but nice nonetheless. Although we're big 🍕 pizza fans, we opted for other dishes to get a taste of the local cuisine—and we weren't disappointed! 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳 The 🫜beetroot carpaccio with creamy stracciatella was a poem, the tortellini with ricotta, butter, and sage 🌿 were cooked to perfection and very well seasoned. The cod dumplings also tantalized all the taste buds. The local 🍷red wine was undoubtedly worth the sin, and the dessert 🥮 brought the perfect evening to a wonderful close. Even our three, not-so-small dogs were no problem. 🙏🏼 Thank you, dear "Al Castello" team, for the culinary delight and the friendly exchange in three languages. 🇮🇹 🇬🇧 🇩🇪
