29/09/2025: In my very humble opinion, after five years of coming to Giglio and Cantine Aperte, I confirm my preference for this restaurant.
It's small, fortunately not suited to noisy, convivial tables.
The attention to detail in the dishes and the quality of the ingredients are top-notch, starting with the olive oil.
I recommend it to anyone who wants to taste the sea and appreciates the restaurant's delicacy.
Will I return to Giglio? Maybe, but I'll definitely book this restaurant!

21/09/2025: A lovely place on the Giglio harbor. Unfortunately, the risotto was drained and mixed with the seafood, as was the spaghetti with clams, which were loose and tasteless.
A raw meagre arrived, completely covered in tomato pieces. We notified the waiter, and to be honest, it wasn't included in the final bill.
The ingredients were excellent, but in my opinion, the chef was lacking.
20/09/2025: Good is very good and you have the chance to try pretty unusual seafood recipes. Service is support fast, staff very friendly and kind. Portions are really small though, hence the place is really really expensive (couple of shared starters, one course per person and drinks -no fancy wines- 40 euro per person). Worth a try but not going back.

25/09/2025: A lovely little spot on Giglio port. A typical Gigliese menu with fresh seafood, pasta, and local wines at an affordable price. Excellent service. We would return again!
12/09/2025: Excellent place... where service, quality and price find a nice combination... 4 first courses, 4 second courses, 4 desserts, 2 water and 1 liter of local wine 50 euros per person

21/09/2025: I won't say how much I spent in total, because I've eaten that amount elsewhere and left satisfied with what I ate. Paying €40 for two risottos where you had to search for the rice grains hidden between a mussel, two shrimp, and four clams seems excessive to me. When you then realize the portion at the next table is larger, you feel cheated. Likewise, €30 for a fried dish that also included cheap vegetables and sardines, considered a low-cost fish, seems excessive. And finally, when I came to pay, I was told they even gave me a discount because they made me wait. I was even too kind to give it two stars.

02/09/2025: Excellent pizza to enjoy with family or friends, prices are a little higher than average but we know that on the island there are other values.
06/08/2025: One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten.
Luigi's sfogliatine is truly delicious and the pizza dough is impeccable; I absolutely must try it again.
Finally, the service is fast and Luigi is a generous and friendly person. I highly recommend it.

The staff is friendly and smiling.
The cappuccino is good.
The wine and, above all, the place is frequented by people who are always ready for a chat and a laugh.
I stop by whenever I pass by.
I recommend it.

Pizze buonissime e location suggestiva, immersa tra i vicoli! Tornerò sicuramente!

We entered this restaurant only because we were caught in the rain and driven by hunger. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a truly unfortunate choice.
The service was practically nonexistent: the bread arrived at the end of the dinner and the customer service was zero.
We ordered a mixed fried fish dish with calamari, shrimp, and mixed seafood. We were served five microscopic shrimp and six squid rings. When we asked for clarification on the lack of mixed seafood, they brought us two slices of fried morena, with such an unpleasant smell that we had to open the windows.
The bill? Horrifying, especially considering the quality and quantity of the food served. We pointed out the lack of mixed seafood, hoping for a common-sense gesture from the owner, but nothing.
In hindsight, we would never have gone in. A place to absolutely avoid.
12/09/2025: Excellent seafood restaurant with many options, even off-menu ones. The fish is fresh and very well cooked. We had excellent tagliolini with sea bass and garlic and turbot with potatoes, both excellent. Prices are in line with other restaurants on the island. It has mostly outdoor seating and is close to the port, like almost all other seafood restaurants. The service was friendly and fast. I recommend dining here if you're looking for a seafood dinner in Giglio Porto. I also recommend making a reservation.

16/07/2025: We stopped at Bar Pierina for breakfast, and we had a great time!! I recommend trying the tuna, tomato, and mayonnaise sandwich...the quality of the tomatoes is excellent, I devoured it!! The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable, quick and thorough in explaining the types of products they sell! The outdoor seating near the port is lovely! Kudos to all the staff 👏!!

19/09/2025: The staff were friendly, but if you don't order the third course, they ask you: "Are you finished yet?" "Not even dessert?" "Already?" I ordered "Zuccia" from the menu. I asked for clarification, and was told, "It's similar to cacciucco." When they brought the bowl of liquid broth with two picturesque celery sticks, I wanted to get up and leave. I'm writing this review so that others don't fall into this same disappointing situation.

18/10/2025: Very nice hotel and restaurant. Beautiful surroundings, functional and cozy common areas and my room was very functional. I have seen mentions that the room is small, but for my the room itself wasn't small at all: While not spacious it had enough space and also very useful furniture to lay out/stow things - I did tend to require quite some space to unpack my bicycle bags :) The bathroom was indeed very tight (wonder they could fit the bidet in there :) ), but who cares in a single room as long as everything works and is accessible (it is). Value for price was extremely good for me. Looks like they are adjusting price a lot based on demand (weekday and season), so that may vary but that only seems fair.
The included breakfast is amazing, with proper cafe. And the staff is all around helpful and friendly. The restaurant for dinner is also very good, similar prices as other restaurants on the island - quality was well worth the price.
10/09/2025: We stayed four nights at this property.
From the moment we arrived, we knew we'd be happy.
Excellent location. The shuttle from the port to the hotel and from the hotel to the beaches was very efficient.
The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional, from the front desk to the dining room staff, not to mention the room cleaning staff.
I highly recommend the hotel restaurant. We ate everything from appetizers to main courses, all very well prepared with top-quality ingredients. The quality/price ratio was good.
We'd only suggest some renovations to the building, which would add value (which is why we didn't give the room 5 stars).
If we have the chance, we'll return.

28/07/2025: uno dei migliori ristoranti che ho provato all'isola del giglio. Molto bella la location con una terrazza vista golfo e tramonto spettacolare. Personale molto disponibile e discreto. Servizio veloce e soprattutto ottima cucina, sia nei piatti di mare che di terra ed eccellenti dolci.
28/07/2025: Secondo la nostra esperienza, è il miglior ristorante del Giglio! Terrazzo panoramico meraviglioso, menù ricercato ma fedele alla tradizione con ottima ricerca e cura della materia prima. Prezzi più che onesti in base alla proposta. Complimenti anche per il servizio molto curato, professionale ma allo stesso tempo simpatico e familiare.

23/07/2025: Sinceramente?? Non mi è piaciuto niente di questo posto….mi è sembrato molto scarso di staff responsabile e brava praticamente ho messo 2 stelle solo per la bellissima location stupenda e davanti al mare..mi dispiace
20/07/2025: Abbiamo mangiato in questo ristorante ben due volte ..la cena del primo giorno e il pranzo della partenza . Nessuna delusione: Location praticamente sulla spiaggia , buoni piatti a base di pesce , servizio ottimo . Torneremo

15/07/2025: Beautiful restaurant located on the beach of Giglio Porto, not far from the port of Giglio Island. We had a delicious mussels with pepper sauce as an appetizer and paccheri with swordfish and eggplant as a main course, and I must say, everything was truly excellent! The mascarpone with biscotti and macchiato were also delicious! The staff is friendly and professional, perhaps the only slightly negative thing is the enormous number of wasps surrounding you while you're eating. However, a waiter informed us that Giglio Island has been infested with a huge number of wasps this year, and a disinfestation program is underway to address this situation. Kudos to the entire staff!
