In Giglio we try a lot of different Restaurants, the most are expensive and have nothing special.
This we try:
La veccia pergola i think the best in harbour...
La Grotta del pescadore the captain should fish again by his self...
La Margherita one of the worst i ever was in italy! And i was also in caorle...
Doria much mistakes, tourism restaurant
Sopravvento he wants to be a star restaurant and it is not...
Maria fine and real restaurant, 100% italy!
Zio meino real, good, cheap. Not for tourists, for lovers of italian cuisine!

21/06/2025: During our vacation we discovered the Doria Restaurant and immediately fell in love with it… so much so that we returned twice in the same week!
The restaurant struck us for its welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, but above all for the kindness and friendliness of the staff, always attentive and helpful, with special care for the needs of each customer. It is truly rare to find such attentive and genuine service.
The fish is very fresh, cooked with simplicity and taste, enhancing its flavors to the maximum. An honorable mention goes to the pici with crab, simply delicious: a dish that will remain in our memories for a long time!
A restaurant that we recommend without hesitation to anyone who wants to eat well, feel welcomed and have an authentic experience.

22/06/2025: You absolutely have to try Luigi's sfogliatino, famous for years on the island! Also the pizza with figs and crispy bacon. Low cost, nice location even if there are a few mosquitoes, bring spray!!!
Highly recommended.
27/05/2025: Divine pizza, served on wooden boards and in all flavors. The ingredients are bursting with flavor and love, you can see the passion behind it. They welcomed us with our dogs, we appreciated it very much...we will happily return next time!

14/06/2025: Posto eccezionale!! Si trova proprio dentro le mura di Giglio Castello e mi ha colpito per la professionalità e cordialità del personale, sempre attento alle esigenze dei clienti.
Pizze buonissime e location suggestiva, immersa tra i vicoli! Tornerò sicuramente!

02/05/2025: Abbiamo mangiato come antipasto un cartoccio di calamari fritti, molto buoni. Poi abbiamo preso due piźze, una Margherita e una Napoli, molto ben condite soprattutto la Napoli con parecchie acciughe e anche capperi. La pasta era ben lievitata e ben cotta ma non bruciata. Ho fatto i complimenti al pizzaiolo. C'erano anche altri piatti, soprattutto di pesce ma li proveremo la prossima volta. Prezzi modici rispetto agli altri locali del Giglio. Locale tranquillo e personale cortese e non assillante. Consigliatissimo.

03/06/2025: Abbiamo scelto questo ristorante per festeggiare il nostro anniversario su consiglio di amici.
Mai consiglio fu più indovinato !!
Abbiamo mangiato un tagliolino con aragosta fantastico come primo e per antipasto un crudo di ricciola affumicato a freddo.
Servizio impeccabile e cortese.
02/06/2025: Siamo andati a cena nel ristorante, ispirati dal menu con numerose proposte slow food.
Il cameriere che ci ha preso l’ordine ed il successivo cameriere che ci ha portato gli antipasti sono stati cortesi.
Al momento della portata principale, ossia tagliolino all’aragosta e “ zuppaccia di pesce” mi sono sentita presa in giro, perché il piatto portatomi era palesemente la panzanella di mare; nel momento in cui ho chiesto spiegazioni del piatto, il cameriere ha insistito dicendomi che si trattava della Zuppaccia di pesce e che la zuppa era sul fondo del piatto.
Non c’è niente di male a sbagliare una portata, ma nel momento in cui faccio notare lo sbaglio se continui a dirmi che è una panzanella mi stai palesemente prendendo per il c**o.

We dined at this restaurant on the advice of friends…and we couldn’t have made a better choice! The atmosphere is welcoming and elegant, perfect for a special evening but also for a relaxed dinner in good company.
The menu is rich and well-prepared, with very fresh seafood dishes, cooked with great skill.
The staff was very kind, professional and attentive to every detail. The wine list is also excellent, with local proposals that pair perfectly with seafood dishes.
An experience to be repeated for sure. Congratulations to all the staff, we will be back very soon!

Ristorante La Margherita

07/07/2025: The location was beautiful, the rest was truly terrible. I have never waited so long to eat so badly. Frozen food, of very poor quality to boot. Furthermore, the chef, after about half an hour of waiting between appetizers (frozen) and a terrible spaghetti with clams, sensing discontent for the wait came to the table arguing that the wait was due to the quality of the pasta (which to me seemed like a simple De Cecco spaghetti) and that "to eat well you have to wait a minute more". Absolutely not recommended.
05/07/2025: We were on Thursday 3rd July for dinner .... Nothing to say about the Location !!! Since it is on the beach of the port ! But as far as Food is concerned everything has a Limit !!! It is not possible to charge 6 tiny Octopus tentacles (2 portions) the beauty of 48 Euros ! 😡 .... Fantasy of the sea as an appetizer (seafood salad) very Poor ! 😡 Given the place you can do Much Better !
In the end we got up with Hungry and Empty Pockets !!!
We ate little and spent a lot !!! 😡 ... So as they say in Rome : watch out for the Sòla !!! 😉

04/07/2025: We have been twice in five days (I would have gone every night) to Ruggero and I must say that we had a very good time! Excellent dishes with an ancient culinary tradition such as the famous and tasty risotto with squid ink, with a vast choice of fish of the day and above all excellent price/quality ratio... Highly recommended!!!

Ma questo poco male "dai siamo in vacanza"! Mai viste persone così sgarbate, maleducate e grette! Da evitare come la peste!
11/06/2025: Small, very clean pastry shop/bar, where everything is fresh, made with care and craftsmanship. Excellent for breakfast in the morning, because even the cappuccino and coffee are made with care, ideal for taking a sweet home in the evening.

Essendo alloggiato in un residence della Miniera, ci siamo fermati a colazione e pranzo in questo ristorante sul mare del Golfo del Campese.
Piatti ottimi e servizio gentile e veloce.
17/05/2025: Locale in riva al mare molto bello, ottima cucina e servizio ultra rapido. Piatti abbondanti e di ottima qualità, davvero da consigliare !!!!!

15/07/2025: Siamo tornati in questo locale perché già stati con amici lo scorso anno e ne avevamo un buon ricordo ahimè disatteso con la cena di sabato sera . Il responsabile di sala molto frettoloso e scortese mentre i giovani ragazzi che collaborano cercano di fare il possibile per rimediare a tale atteggiamento . Cibo pessimo . Un ricordo sbagliato
08/07/2025: Il locale internamente è piuttosto anonimo, all'esterno gode di una vista sulla spiaggia di Campese. Il cibo ottimo (strepitosa la caponata con pesce spada). Il servizio molto cortese e attento. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

16/07/2025: Il ristorante Da Maria, è un ristorante storico che ha avuto in passato la stella Michelin. Il livello di cucina è elevatissimo. Il servizio ottimo. Tutti gentilissimi, sorridenti e fanno di tutto per soddisfare le richieste dei clienti. Ottimi primi ( provare tagliolini al nero ai frutti di mare e bottarga). Pesci freschissimi cucinati a dovere. Dolci meravigliosi (millefoglie con crema chantilly). E poi è in un punto del Castello…vale tutto il prezzo.
12/07/2025: Questo ristorante si trova all'interno del Castello dell'isola del Giglio, e già questo ne fa una particolarità da non perdere. Però la qualità del cibo non possiamo non citarla per la sua bontà, qualità e particolarità. La cucina è ottima, il cibo ottimo sia la preparazione che la presentazione unitamente ad un servizio veramente professionale. La sala è molto grande, ma è la sala di un castello e quindi ... cosa potete aspettarvi? Un salto nel tempo come se si fosse in un castello ... appunto! E' un ristorante da provare senza dubbio, sia per la particolarità dei cibi che per la qualità di alto livello delle materie prime impiegate e lavorate a regola d'arte. Consigliatissimo. Goffredo.
