12/04/2026: The food was wonderful. I had ribolitta, husband had penne with slow cooked beef and Chianti, daughter had lasagna and other daughter had risotto ossobucco. It was all very, very good. The restaurant is very busy so it is often difficult to get a waiter attention. The location is great as it is right outside the Roman ruins museum and next to a gelateria.

We were a great group, and everything went off without a hitch: the organization was perfect, and the staff were incredibly kind. The meat was simply exquisite. It's rare to find such a great value these days. Thank you for making this day memorable!

The waitress was very annoyed and didn't smile with the customers.

23/08/2025: We stopped for a quick coffee, but we left feeling disappointed. The price of a coffee (2.50), plus the cost of table service, should also reflect attentive and clean service. Instead, the bathroom was out of toilet paper and hand soap. If we had known this beforehand, we would have used the public restrooms instead of luring customers to a place that doesn't deserve it.

06/04/2026: We had a great time, but we feel a bit cheated. The restaurant is located with a pleasant view of the Tuscan hills in a quiet area, far enough out of town without having to travel too far. The staff is friendly and helpful, but unfortunately the good news ends there. We spent €51 each, and the price is inconsistent with the amount of food we ate, not only because of the quality of the food but also because the service was festival-style. The real disappointment is having to pay €10 per person to visit the farm grounds, even though the five of us had already spent €255. I therefore recommend not eating at the restaurant, but instead having a nice picnic, bringing your own food and spending a day in the grounds for €10.

04/04/2026: Saturday, around 12:00 p.m. We sit at one of the many tables the place has in the middle of the square. The coffee menu is on the table. After a while, the waitress arrives and we order coffees. After another wait, the waitress returns and tells us the tables are only for lunch. We point out that the table isn't set for lunch and displays the coffee shop's price list. This is what the owner said, a shortsighted man who not only lost customers but also wasted the time of his employee who could have been bringing us coffees and collecting the bill. We sit in the café next door, counting his empty tables while sipping coffee.
01/04/2026: 6.50 for a prosciutto sandwich is expensive, but 4 euros for a Coke is one of the biggest rip-offs of my life. Besides, they're a bit rude.

15/04/2026: The worst industrial ice cream I've ever eaten. There's nothing Sicilian about this place. The owner (an older man in a suit and tie) always invites you to choose from the menu outside because it's overpriced for table service. The owner's accent is Florentine DOCG, so it's a tourist trap.

06/08/2025: Cena domenica d'agosto. Serata fresca, ambiente esterno piacevole. Due primi di buona qualità, quindi morbide scaloppine e croccante coniglio fritto. Per non farci mancare niente un bel tiramisù. Acqua vinodella casa e caffè , conto poco più di 70 euro. Servizio attento e cordiale. Bella serata
06/08/2025: Sono una cliente storica del ristorante. Questa sera a cena ho trovato tutto il personale nuovo.
Ho ordinato le lasagne e mi è arrivato un piatto pieno di sugo con una fetta da meno di mezza porzione. I prezzi sono aumentati, la qualità del cibo è diminuita, il servizio scadente è poco attento. Tempi di attesa molto più lunghi che in passato. Come distruggere il mito di una trattoria in una cena... Assolutamente sconsigliato.

During my time there, the villa was hosting a collaboration with Galleria Continua, showcasing the iconic works of Beijing-based artists Sun Yuan & Peng Yu. Their exhibition, exploring the theme of “Identity In Space,” added an avant-garde touch to the villa’s historical context of the villa.
I had the immense privilege of photographing a luxury destination wedding at Villa San Michele, and as a luxury photographer who works with many exquisite venues, I can confidently say it is unlike any other. From the golden-hour glow over Florence to the villa’s historic interiors, the variety of breathtaking locations offered endless opportunities for capturing perfect moments.
I should note that the villa’s commitment to excellence is reflected not only in its stunning spaces but also in its exceptional staff, who are attentive, courteous and hospitable to one whether they are a guest or a visitor. To me, the latter is a sign of true hospitality!
I absolutely and wholeheartedly recommend villa San Michele and I plan to visit again, this time for an extended stay with my wife next time I am in Florence!

03/06/2025: Desnudo - huesos (por ejemplo, platos de papel) estilo cafetería barato increíble pasta casera! La pasta rivaliza con algunas de las mejores caseras que tuvimos en Roma y Florencia. Las salsas también estaban bien. ¡Si estuviera en Fiesole, sin duda sería un habitual aquí! Y unas vistas estupendas desde lo alto de la colina.

14/03/2025: Ristorante con piatti tipici, curato, personale molto gentile. Abbiamo preso l’antipasto toscano, lo gnocco fritto con prosciutto e squaquerone, la ribollita e il cinghiale in umido alla maremmana. Tutto ottimo…!
31/01/2025: Abbiamo pranzato con amici un sabato prima di Natale. Il locale era affollato ciò nonostante il servizio è stato veloce e gentile. I crostini tocani sono buonissimi, così come il resto.

17/10/2024: Siamo stati in questo ristorante per cena e devo dire che siamo rimasti piacevolmente colpiti, piatti buoni ed autentici, in una location tradizionale. Il punto forte però è la cordialità e gentilezza con cui ci hanno accolti, ci torneremo sicuramente!
