29/09/2025: I believe this hotel deserves a five. The views of the city are remarkable. The service is impeccable and the rooms are clean with all the amenities one would expect. Nicholas was without a doubt, the best hotel host I have ever experienced in all my years. He and his staff constantly went out of their way to provide one on one personal service. From putting on dance music at night to greeting us in the morning with fresh food and champagne. I highly recommend a stay at this hotel above the city of Florence.
25/08/2025: A gem in a beautiful city. Close to the heart of Florence with the beauty and calmness of the countryside. Service was excellent, staff were friendly, every need anticipated. The food, the room, the courtyard, the pool, all well designed and convenient. Beautiful location. Highly recommend and hope to stay again in the future. Recommended by a friend.

31/01/2026: A nice place, staffed by young but professional staff. They're very attentive to customer requests and intolerances. It's a must-try when I pass through Monforte d'Alba. They also offer gluten-free options. I recommend it.
10/11/2025: A small, unpretentious menu, but the food is fresh and tasty, and the dining room is clean with modern colors. There's a great wine selection, and the staff provides excellent advice. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be back.

17/12/2025: We met up with friends for a Christmas getaway. We enjoyed the self-service menu, which offers a wide variety of dishes, including desserts for those with a sweet tooth. Excellent food, excellent value. The place is quiet, and if you're in a group, you can reserve a table. There's no cover charge or water. We ordered their homemade panettone, which is highly recommended. At the bar, I had a coffee that tasted like coffee, not burnt like it often does even in Michelin-starred establishments. On Friday evenings, they host an aperitivo, not to be missed.

03/09/2025: Montereggi was beautiful with the most amazing family running the villa. We stayed here 4 nights and had a beautiful time at the pool which has amazing views from the bill at the top of the property and the restaurant was equally spectacular with delicious food and wine. The hosts couldn’t have been more helpful. There is a bus stop right at the end lf the driveway for bus 21 that goes into Florence which was super convenient as we didn’t have a car. There is also a supermarket and a little cafe within walking distance. I would recommend this stay to all family and friends 10/10!

02/03/2026: We stumbled upon this restaurant completely by chance, and it was a real find! From the very first minute, we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful, thoughtful presentation and cozy atmosphere.
The very polite and welcoming owner makes you feel genuinely welcome. The waitress is attentive, tactful, and professional, and the service is top-notch.
The menu is varied and well-thought-out, and all dishes are prepared immediately before serving. The bread, baked by the chef on the spot, is especially delightful. It's simply magnificent! A compliment from the chef was a pleasant surprise—such a gesture is always especially appreciated.
Finally, we were invited to see the wine cellar, an atmospheric and beautiful space where events are held. We were very impressed.
We definitely recommend it and will definitely be back!

21/10/2025: It was wonderful to be in a place that doesn't exist for tourists.
We didn't make a reservation and were kindly seated near the entrance.
The service was Italian-relaxed, warm but unpretentious.
The menu is a bit unusual at first, with lots of game, rabbit, and more local dishes.
But boy, was it delicious! The prices were also really good, though the beer was unfortunately expensive and not on tap (but then, the beer-loving Germans speak for themselves ;) )

Per non farci mancare niente un bel tiramisù. Acqua vinodella casa e caffè , conto poco più di 70 euro. Servizio attento e cordiale. Bella serata
06/08/2025: Sono una cliente storica del ristorante. Questa sera a cena ho trovato tutto il personale nuovo.
Ho ordinato le lasagne e mi è arrivato un piatto pieno di sugo con una fetta da meno di mezza porzione. I prezzi sono aumentati, la qualità del cibo è diminuita, il servizio scadente è poco attento. Tempi di attesa molto più lunghi che in passato. Come distruggere il mito di una trattoria in una cena... Assolutamente sconsigliato.

11/01/2026: Lovely owners and a beautiful restaurant! Ordered a mushroom and sausage pizza and it was cooked perfectly. We at outdoors but we were so surprised when we went inside to use the restroom. The interior of the restaurant is decorated is a beautiful blue with white marble and glass. Very charming and sparkling clean!

You can definitely find a better place at this price. There is very little view overlooking Florence since the view is across a road

28/09/2025: I was here on March 15, 2025, and where do I begin? Everything about this shop is wrong. The staff was unacceptably rude, and I was insulted for no reason after asking a question. They forced us to sit down, telling us we were required to sit at a table to consume what we'd ordered, without mentioning the exorbitant cover charge. €1.50 for poor service and even worse food. When we went to pay, the price had practically doubled, and when I complained, given the lack of transparency, I was disrespectfully told that "it was my problem." Absurd.
Hygiene was completely lacking, with trash and insects everywhere, and the bathrooms were covered in feces and urine on the walls and floors. Conditions that would make even the local health authority shudder.
Then, looking at the responses to the reviews, you can see the profound ignorance and incivility of whoever manages the online page. A person has the right to know whether there's a cover charge and how much it costs before paying. The point isn't whether they can afford it or not, but that it's wrong and immoral to defraud customers. At worst, you're the ones who humiliate yourself for an extra €1.50 by only showing higher prices at the end, losing customers and respect for just €1.50. Pathetic.
I saw that in response to a review from someone who'd had the same experience as me, the person who responded to the critic, undoubtedly poorly educated and profoundly rude, wrote, "If you can't afford a coffee, stay home." If you can't afford to keep a shop open without a €1.50 cover charge, then stay home and close the shop. Clearly, if you feel the need to defraud people for so little, you're in dire financial straits and need a different kind of help.
A disgrace.
