01/01/2026: A nice place, certainly traditional, with a very retro but overall pleasant atmosphere. The food is quite good, without any particular surprises. However, there's a certain difference in treatment towards "foreign" customers, which is a bit puzzling. Prices are decidedly high for what's on offer.

28/12/2025: We stopped by for an afternoon merenda and enjoyed dessert with coffee. The staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming.
I ordered the mousse alle castagne, which was really good and perfectly suited for a cozy afternoon treat.
The atmosphere can get a bit noisy, but it didn’t take away from the experience. We still enjoyed our time there.

Disgusting place. Dirty tables, absolutely dreary, owner/staff pushy and rude. We were also charged more than the menu price.
This place should be shut down by the authorities.

23/10/2025: Every time I return to Bolzano, one of my first stops is always the Franziskaner Bakery. It's one of those places that welcomes you with familiar aromas, genuine smiles, and that warm feeling that only things made with passion can provide.
As soon as I enter, I'm immediately won over by the aroma of freshly baked bread and the display cases full of traditional pastries. The staff is always kind, smiling, and genuinely attentive—you can tell they love what they do and care about every customer.
I can never leave without their best-selling strudel: it's simply perfect. The thin, fragrant pastry envelops a filling of fragrant apples, spices, and a touch of sweetness that captivates with every bite. It's the kind of dessert that tells a story, that tastes of home, of the mountains, and of authenticity.
The E-type bread has also become a regular feature of mine—crunchy, aromatic, and full-flavored, perfect both on its own and as an accompaniment to any dish.
Franziskaner isn't just a bakery, but a little corner of tradition and humanity in the heart of Bolzano. Every visit is a simple yet special moment of pleasure, always leaving you wanting more.
13/07/2025: A wonderful bakery in the center of Bolzano. We lived nearby and went for fresh pastries for breakfast. Everything was delicious. Very nice service. Thank you.

27/05/2025: Classica buschenschank ma il posto spacca, il menù non c'è ma canederli deliziosi, ravioli al burro mai mangiati così buoni.
Non mi basta e mangio salsiccia mista bovino suino fatta da loro e patate saltate. 1 litro di schiava ad annaffiare il tutto: ma una cosa che mi sento di segnalare è l'estrema gentilezza e cortesia del ragazzo: ci accoglie tra i suoi cani come se fossimo ospiti a casa sua e così è. Vero non c'è pos ma si sa che in sti posti ci può stare e non ce lo fa pesare, anzi facciamo in modo di venirci incontro e 62€ in 3 non è assolutamente tanto. La mia amica di Bolzano ci veniva già noi sicuro ci torneremo ogni volta che passeremo di lì

13/10/2025: Street stall in the old part of Bolzano. We ordered a sausage wrust. It came with ketchup and mustard along with the bread. You have to eat standing up, there are no chairs to sit on. It's an option to stave off hunger in that part of town.
14/09/2025: I ordered home delivery on Deliveroo, I got a burger for €9.10... I think there's nothing more to add (literally)

20/08/2023: Pessimi. Devo fare Merano e scopro che nelle ultime 24 ore da 1,399 € sono passati a 1,488 €. Sarà forse perché ci sono le partenze dei vacanzieri??? Comunque, dall'altra parte c'è Q8 che ha mantenuto 1,399 €. Peggio per voi, vi siete persi due colazioni ed un pieno di gas.

13/03/2024: Sul cartello c'èra scritto "piatto del giorno: Torellini con panna e prosciuto, con parolacce". L'ho ordinato "senza parolacce", ma il cameriere mi ha risposto "mi dispiace, è un piatto intero" e poi mi ha insultato. Poi non mi ha neanche dato il piatto da portare via, perché non avevo la cauzione di 5€ in contanti in tasca. Chiedevo se vuole prendere un mio documento, o qualcos'altro come cauzione nel frattempo, ma c'èra niente da fare. ... Si comportano così con clienti che lavorano nello stesso edificio e che vanno li ogni giorno a mangiare. Per fortuna abbiamo la tessera che ci permette di andare in altri locali.
