29/12/2024: A few steps from our B&B we decide to try this gastronomy on the advice of our friends. Everything is freshly prepared, very clean open kitchen. We had an octopus salad, scialatelli alla norma and tuna meatballs. The food was excellent, but the added value is the staff, very kind and helpful. I highly recommend it!

01/10/2024: Super cool guys. Had a great meal with arancini, fried aubergines and cazzilli. So much so that we returned the following day for a bomb parmigiana and baked anelletti. Even more important is the choice of music 🎶 you are great!!

04/10/2024: Ci siamo fermati al rientro dalla caletta, per uno spritz ma con l'occasione abbiamo approfittato per mangiare hamburger e panino. Buona qualità del prodotto e ottima accoglienza del gestore. Lo consiglio vivamente.

08/10/2024: Comfortable armchairs, large tables so you don't have to balance the glasses. A magical place, nestled between the sea and the hills behind. Excellent choice of cocktails and wines. Various types of appetizers: the panelle are highly recommended. A dry and crunchy fried food. The rest is done by the thousand colors of the sun. 5 stars for the environment because you can't give more.

01/10/2024: From the restaurant, outdoors, you can enjoy a spectacular sunset with the sun setting next to Marettimo Excellent glasses of wine and Vastase potatoes, less so the panelle, perhaps frozen My favorite place on the island to enjoy the sunsets which in Favignana are painted with wonderful colours

08/10/2024: We stayed in this wonderful Baglio in mid-September and had a really good time. Excellent welcome and helpfulness from the director Andrea and all the staff. The environment is ideal for those in need of a relaxing holiday. The whole context is really beautiful. Far but not too far from the center. You can easily get there on foot in 20 minutes. Excellent breakfast with different cakes every day. We recommend it.

17/01/2025: I ate at Formica at the suggestion of several friends and I must say that I was not disappointed at all. The place is very welcoming, delicious and minimal decor. The staff are super welcoming and hospitable. The only thing is the reservation. I tried to book via the site and it gave me a waiting list which apparently doesn't exist. Subsequently I called and they told me that there was the possibility of sitting only in the outdoor area. Once we got there we were The first ones and there was the possibility of staying inside. We were welcomed with warm bread and oil. Delightful. We chose two appetizers, the tuna steak and the panko anchovies. As main courses, rigatoni with anchovies, onion cream and spaghetti with bottarga. Sweet Brownies. All accompanied by a bottle of wine and an excellent passito dessert. I highly recommend. Excellent combination of traditional and modern cuisine.

11/12/2024: Location strepitosa, uno dei locali se non il più bello, romantico, scenico di favignana. Sicuramente la natura gioca a favore in questa bellissima isola. Abbiamo fatto un aperitivo cenato con dell ottimo vino proposto dal ragazzo che ci ha servito e ottime sfiziosità. Atmosfera bellissima. Credo che dovreste illuminare un po l esterno del locale perché c è il buio più assoluto e per riprendere le biciclette ci abbiamo messo tempo. A proposito.. vi sconsiglio vivamente di recarvi in questo posto in bicicletta perché è stato un viaggio fino al centro davvero drammatico. Ci avevano tutti consigliato di prendere le bici a favignana ma poi la sera non c è un lampione e non c è una ciclabile, con i cellulari appesi al collo abbiamo scongiurato di non essere investiti. ( questo però è merito dell amministrazione ovviamente e non del locale). Per il resto ho trovato il servizio un po lento, ( sono arrivati a prenderci l ordine dopo circa mezz'ora dall ingresso) motivo per il quale non do 5 stelle. Comunque una bellissima esperienza

05/11/2024: Right in the center of Favignana. The location is very spartan, with paper placemats but this wouldn't be a problem. We tried the first courses but absolutely failed, they use cream where it isn't written! This is certainly not "typical Sicilian cuisine". I went in August.

18/10/2024: Delicious food at a fair price. Had pasta and melanzane. Salad was disappointing as the tomatoes were a bit tasteless and black sliced olives, boring. Beware of the 3€ cover charge per person though.

01/01/2025: We had dinner on New Year's Eve at this place, chosen precisely because I had known it for some time and I didn't want to make a mistake. The appetizers and first course turned out to be very good. As regards the choice of the second course, we did not understand why a land dish was included in a fish-based menu. In any case, as I also frankly told the lady who was taking care of the tables, the veal they had chosen was too fat, making it difficult to even cut it to try to discard the fat since my partner doesn't particularly like it. But even at the other tables I saw that many people had not managed to eat it at all (a real shame). The thing I wanted to say is that we deeply regretted having to leave just before midnight to be able to have the toast in the street, given that the place had not organized the toast (despite the €75 per person....) . It wasn't nice to see this stampede of people who, close to midnight, left the place to go to the square, when everyone could easily have remained seated and received a simple glass offered by the house (three bottles of sparkling wine would have been enough given that we were less than 30 people). I am also writing this on behalf of the people who were sitting at other tables because while we went to the square (necessarily close to each other given the circumstance), the comments were the same, i.e. shared in finding the induction to leave the place in bad taste to have to toast outside. The alternative was to specifically get a bottle and pay for it. But I would like to repeat that after a couple pays €150 for dinner (including only one bottle of wine offered by them), two flutes of sparkling wine offered would certainly not have damaged the economy of the place. Instead we were offered the classic shot at the end of the meal, we opted for the Zibibbo. But New Year's Eve has its magic and this time Zibibbo didn't have the same value. I always want to give objective reviews. The dishes were very good, I put photos of everything so you can also see the mise en plat. I hope that this bitter note of mine regarding sparkling wine can be an inspiration for the managers for next New Year's Eve. Happy New Year, from a customer who has known you for years and who has appreciated you for years.

23/02/2025: Saline di Trapani e Paceco is the salt treasure of Sicily (a little dusty, but who cares)** If you think that salt is just that white thing that you sprinkle on the kitchen counter at the most inopportune moment - welcome to the club! But after visiting Saline di Trapani e Paceco, you will look at it completely differently. These salt fields have their own unique atmosphere: postcard-perfect windmills, pink lagoons and flamingos that look as if they were posing for Instagram photos. It's true that the place is not in museum condition - but is that a bad thing? On the contrary! This only adds to its charm. Slightly dilapidated buildings and old salt barrels give the impression of authenticity here, not a sterile tourist attraction for show. A walk among the salt pans is like traveling back in time - only instead of a vehicle, you get a slight smell of salt in the air and the sun reflecting picturesquely in the water. So if you want something different than crowded beaches and crowded pizzerias, I recommend it. A salt adventure is guaranteed, and you will return home with the impression that you know more about salt than many chefs! 😄
