Osteria del SottoSale In Favignana

It was absurd to arrive at the restaurant that evening and be told that the reservation, made five days earlier, didn't exist. They sent us to the "Sotto Sale" restaurant, claiming we'd gotten confused, when in fact the reservation had actually been made at the osteria. After returning, we waited a long time before being seated, as if they were doing us a favor. When it came time to get the bill, not a word of apology. The food was overall decent: the pasta with sea urchins and the tuna were good. However, the raw shrimp served with salt on top and the mussels with pepper were disappointing. The experience was especially negative regarding the service management. I won't be returning.

Osteria del Sotto Sale is a little gem in the center of Favignana. My experience here was fantastic; everything was perfect, from the location, to the service, to the menu, and especially the quality of the food. Both meat and seafood options make this place suitable for all palates. Prices are in line with average prices.

Extremely good food, attentive and friendly service, and super fair prices for the quality! The fish is fresh and prepared in a truly impeccable and unpretentious way: the stirring fried sardines and the spaghetti with cherry tomatoes and bottarga are a must-try!

We had dinner during our stay in Favignana, and this little place exceeded all our expectations. The linguine with clams and pistachio pesto and the tuna were both spectacular. The service was excellent, Daniela is super.

Everything was delicious, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the service was fast and the quality of the food was excellent.

A seafood restaurant with a tavern-like feel, and they seem to have hit the mark. The menu is varied without being overly generous, and there's a good selection of appetizers, first courses, and second courses, as well as desserts. The portions are typical of taverns, and the flavors are bold without ever being overwhelming. Ultimately, the dishes are well-balanced, in my opinion. The prices are slightly lower than the quality offered, and they also have a decent wine cellar, especially of excellent Sicilian wines. These are the kind of places you'd go to regularly if you live on Favignana.

Good, well-prepared food, not particularly above other restaurants in the area, but with higher prices. Good portions. Service definitely didn't live up to the promises, the location, or the menu prices. The waitress was rushed, taking orders and serving them without even looking directly at the customers. When she brought the wine, she spilled it on the table both when she poured it for tasting and when she refilled the glass. But the worst thing is that if you're not quick enough, they'll send you away without further ado. At the table next to us, they brought the bill without asking, before they could order dessert. They had to point this out to allow dessert. My companion and I were finishing our wine after finishing our main course, and they actually made us get up because other customers were waiting outside. We ordered one bottle, not two glasses: you expect to have enough time (not infinite) to finish your drink without having to gulp down what you ordered. I definitely wouldn't go back.

If you want hearty dishes... you have to go to the Osteria!!! Excellent quality!!! Very kind staff!! I'll definitely be back 🌻
