17/08/2024: Beautiful restaurant with very good food. An atmospheric Italian restaurant off the beaten path, where you enter and never want to leave. Very nice service, we managed to get in at 10 p.m. without a reservation, because the owner organized a place for us despite the long holiday weekend. If you want to feel the atmosphere of Italy, definitely come here. Apart from the delicious food, the owner and the staff were always interested in whether everything was OK. When we left, we were greeted with a very warm farewell, with a refreshment of home-made wine - which is very good! I recommend !!! One star less for the service, even though most of the guests are Italians, the waiters could speak basic English so that the owner wouldn't have to run around so much.

15/08/2024: Family lunch for mid-August. Nice place not full. Well presented dishes. Attention to allergies and/or intolerances. I was expecting fresh fish in a seaside place. Fried fish on the menu indicated as frozen fish. Unfortunately slow service today. Between the starters and the first course we waited more than an hour. long waiting times for a room with 30 people. Cost around 30 euros per person. We had 2 mixed starters, 4 first courses, a glass of red and 2 bottles of water. A place for families even with small children. High chairs available

On s’attendait à avoir des petits hors d’œuvres en attendant les pizzas, du style pain à la tomate, etc.… Finalement, nous avons eu une friture mixte composée de frites, croquettes de pommes de terre et galette de farine de pois chiches. tout ça sentait le congelé cuit dans l’huile, et avant de manger une pizza, nous avons trouvé ça gras…

14/08/2024: Una piacevole serata tra amici, trasformatasi in una brutta esperienza….. Dopo aver prenotato tramite the fork, raggiungiamo la struttura e ci accomodiamo per iniziare la cena… In un primo momento la stessa sembra cominciare con il verso giusto, in quanto il menù presentava una vasta scelta. Nell occasione, scegliamo l antipasto mediterraneo che si presentava con delle cozze dure ed immangiabili e delle sarde “a beccafico “piene di lische, pertanto fin da subito venivamo smentiti. La delusione più grande arriva con i primi, scegliamo 4 (quattro) spaghetti ai ricci e 2 (due) tagliatelle alle zucchine con gambero rosso, fin dal primo assaggio riusciamo ad evincere l’incompetenza dello chef e della cucina in generale poiché sicuramente a conduzione familiare, in quanto gli spaghetti si presentavano non al dente ma proprio crudi al punto tale di permanere attaccate fra i denti, invece le tagliatelle, al contrario, risultavano scotte, quasi sicuramente precotte e successivamente riscaldate al microonde… Pertanto per quanto sopra appurato, riferivamo il tutto al personale in servizio che, invece di accettare le critiche, palesava delle spiegazioni insensate come “ la pasta fresca va mangiata così…” affermazione inaccettabile che dimostra tanta incompetenza e presunzione circa le loro capacità ristorative. Rispetto ed attenzione del cliente assente sconsiglio vivamente..

02/09/2024: This hotel is located in the village of Scopello, offering an excellent location if you want to reach bars, restaurants, and even the Tonnara on foot. If you book a room with a sea view, you will be amazed—this is the most beautiful view I've ever seen from a hotel. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. There are several issues that made our stay less enjoyable. The building is old and desperately needs renovation. In our room, the beds and wardrobes were made of old wood, seemingly from the 1960s. Closing the windows and doors was a challenge because the fixtures were worn out and difficult to manage. Additionally, the air conditioning unit was quite dirty, which is a health concern. The hairdryer in the bathroom was unreliable, working intermittently, which was another disappointment. When visiting Sicily, you expect a wide variety of fresh, local food, but unfortunately, the breakfast (8 euros) did not meet these expectations. The selection was limited to some fruit, store-bought yogurt, a few cakes and croissants. The only highlight was a homemade (I assume) yogurt cake. The service at the hotel left much to be desired. One notable incident occurred when my mother requested an extra bedsheet so we could sleep separately in the two beds provided. The receptionist was visibly unhappy about this request and simply left the sheet on the bed, forcing my mother to make it herself despite being a paying guest. On the second day, we requested a functioning hairdryer as the one in our room was faulty. Instead of apologizing, the same receptionist responded curtly, stating it was the first time someone had complained about it. Eventually, he gave us another hairdryer, although it was also in poor condition. Lastly, during breakfast, an international couple politely asked for scrambled eggs, a common and simple request in hotels worldwide. The staff member informed them that they couldn't prepare scrambled eggs and offered only boiled eggs. This experience was partly disappointing, especially because I am Italian and half Sicilian, so I have some understanding of Sicily’s landscape and culture. It is unfortunate that such a beautiful region does not consistently offer tourists the quality facilities and services they deserve. Too often, it feels like locals expect you to be grateful just for the opportunity to stay in their beautiful region and you have “to make do with what you have”. My advice, especially to international tourists, is to look for better alternatives where you will be welcomed and have all your needs met. Here, you won’t find that experience. Paying €75 per person per night is not worth it, considering all these issues.

Panini con hamburger serviti senza nulla e carissimi per giunta. (La qualità della carne non giustifica il prezzo). Servizio scadente ai tavoli. Mai più
