07/03/2025: Siamo uscite stavolta senza avere prenotato, Decidiamo di andare in un locale che guarda caso abbiamo trovato chiuso. Optiamo allora di provare questo ristorante dove non eravamo mai stati, sperando di trovare cibo discreto. Locale piccolo ma accogliente, personale gentilissimo e professionale. Abbiamo assaggiato parmigiana, bruschette, risotto con vongole, polpo arrosto, tonno, calamaro arrosto, pesce spada e gamberone rosso. Tutto ottimo e ben presentato. Prezzo ragionevole. Torneremo per assaggiare altri piatti che abbiamo visto girare e dall'aspetto promettevano bene.

30/10/2024: Excellent food and service. Highlights included a beautifully caramelized squid, a wonderful 'sweet and sour' red onion jam with tuna, tiny fried squid (ask for the tasting menu starter, pictured), beautiful swordfish steaks (sarda) with drops of teriyaki, and seafood risotto. The owner speaks good English but all the staff speak enough. It's clearly popular with the locals. The terrace looks out over the gulf and you can see mainland Sicily opposite, so a great place to eat and drink and chill out. If you can't make lots of stairs, go to the car park entrance on the SP63, right by the Tonnara, and then there's only a short walk up a ramp.

29/09/2024: I had lunch last week in the restaurant of this hotel in Scopello. The large dining room is beautiful and welcoming with large windows overlooking the sea below. Thanks to the diligence and attention of the young man who welcomed us, we we are seated in a small terrace, almost intimate, under a pergola of green climbing plants full of leaves, with a magnificent 180° view of the sea, as a background, while in the foreground, looking further down, the image of the raised tower on a rock overlooking the sea, the former tuna fishery and the stacks that enclosed a segment of water with colors that varied from light blue to aquamarine to clear green enhanced the view and recreated the spirit. The palate was satisfied from the first courses: a colorful salad of oranges and tuna bresaola, where a rich diced fruit was crowned with fish leaves, truly tasty and a citrus amberjack tartare also enriched with melon, original and excellent . Afterwards we delighted in swordfish in a sesame crust and caramelized onion with an enveloping and satisfying flavour, and the larded sea bass fillet which surprised us with the simplicity and flavor of the truly fabulous sauce. N.B.: larded has no reference to lard. To finish, some hot homemade cassatine which completed the meal perfectly. The rich and curious menu and an extensive and curated wine list can attract and satisfy every diner. The attentive, rapid and professional service, combined with courtesy, kindness and availability are qualities that elevate the wonderful work of the kitchen and the search for the best raw materials. Congratulations to the owner and her nephew who welcome guests with an elegance and style that, in most cases, has now been lost. Highly recommended! We will definitely be back. Marisa and Marco

26/09/2024: My partner and I had dinner at this restaurant specializing in mussel-based dishes. The atmosphere was very informal, we were the only customers in the room, which made the experience calm and relaxed. The waiters, two young guys, were really kind and friendly. We appreciated the quality of the food: I had a starter of sweet and sour sardines and a second course of seared tuna with a pistachio crust. My partner, being gluten intolerant, was able to choose from a separate AIC certified menu and ate a plate of clams and one of gluten-free spaghetti with prawns and pistachios. We also shared a caponata as a side dish. Everything was very good. The prices were adequate for the quality of the food and service (74 euros). I would recommend La Cozzeria for family lunches or dinners, as a couple, and also for tourists who are in the area.

24/10/2024: We have been here several times and it never disappoints. While there are several excellent restaurants in town the menu offerings tend to be similar. At Mirko's there are always unique offerings on the menu and they are always excellent. This time one we had one of their distinctive side dishes, Sicilian oranges with onions, capers, and pine nuts, seasoned with oregano, olive oil, salt and pepper. So delicious! It is a small, family-run restaurant. The head waiter is one of the family and is entusiastic and knowledgeable. It is always excellent service, excellent food, and a pleasant experience. We are in Castellammare several times per year and always have a meal here when we are in town. When the weather is good (and it almost always is in Castellammare) be sure to sit outdoors at a table on the steps.

20/10/2024: Excellent pastry shop, attentive and friendly staff. We have been customers for a long time, today we also had the pleasure of tasting the birthday cake that I had ordered for a family birthday and it was appreciated by everyone. Beautiful and good. I highly recommend this place.

11/03/2025: Beautiful food that tasted very freshly prepared with friendly staff. We had a wonderful meal including a salmon and prawn ravioli and a pizza with ham and cheese plus tiramisu for dessert, all of which was very tasty. The fish and prawns in the pasta tasted incredibly fresh. The staff were very helpful and friendly (even though we spoke very little Italian!). We also did not book and got a table straight away. Thank you for having us.

09/03/2025: What can I say! The smell of good bread and good food is unmistakable! Mandatory stop for a state-of-the-art 'cunzato bread'. Excellent! Crispy, hot and well seasoned in every bite with excellent quality ingredients! From allorigano oil!

08/03/2025: Service is good but unfortunately the Pane Cunzatu lacked a lot of flavour. Not enough cheese or seasoning. Another patron we were talking with outside agreed. Arancino lukewarm and risotto overcooked. Not a pleasure to eat. We felt we had wasted our money. Old plastic seating outside. Cannot recommend sorry, we won’t be back.

10/11/2024: Il posto adatto per passare una serata in buona compagnia del proprio partener, coccolarsi con una buona cena ed un buon vino è l'ideale e questo è il posto giusto. Elegante, esclusivo, ottimo cibo ed ottimo servizio. Location spettacolare soprattutto se raggiungete il posto all'imbrunire con il sole calante. Mi sono trovata veramente bene. Il prezzo è giusto quando tutto è ottimo.

01/04/2025: I think I ate pretty badly, maybe I chose the wrong dish: I was undecided, in the end I took the fish meatballs in sauce😖; maybe it would have been better if I had opted for the fish couscous 🤔, or maybe I should have avoided the restaurants at the port, which, as we know, have more touristy menus. The atmosphere was nice, a bright terrace, well furnished, kind waiters, bathrooms a bit so-so, not too comfortable or too clean. Price, I would say a bit high for a portion of meatballs in sauce, a bottle of water, a dessert and a coffee €25.

23/03/2025: Cozy place and good food. Even though the place was full (Sunday lunch) the wait was short. Very good couscous!

14/01/2025: A magnificent place with a breathtaking view which saves a little the rating of this restaurant... Disappointed with the more than cold welcome where we were squeezed like lemons to order and where we waited like hell to be served! What a shame because I think there are dishes that are worth trying but as we didn't have time to think and translate the dishes correctly I took a risotto for 22 euros with a simple shrimp and saffron rice.... when for dessert they took 20 minutes before serving... There are cheaper, better restaurants with a much friendlier welcome... I don't recommend eating there but I recommend stopping by and admiring the view!

10/01/2025: Great experience! New Year's Eve lunch approved. Price in line with the area, good food and they paid attention to gluten-free! The use of GF busiate for pasta was particularly appreciated I'll be back!

28/09/2024: Excellent quality bread! Holidaying nearby, May June July August September (today 28th) is definitely October pos nn faulty/or unavailable. I thought that in the last 5 months including summer, thousands and thousands of people will have gone there….

18/11/2024: Un'indirizzo come non esiste altro in Castellamare per mangiare una vera pizza napoletana. Vorei tornare solo per mangiare quella alla mozzarella e pesto di pistacchio.. Perfetto.

16/11/2024: 1 ora e 45 min di attesa senza antipasti solo per 6 pizze. Già così sarebbe da non metterci mai più piede. Inoltre la pizza era gommosa e per più di metà l’abbiamo lasciata sul piatto , il resto lo abbiamo mangiato solo per fame ! Mai più.
