23/12/2024: Have visited Trattoria Vicolo, Castelmola each time we’re in Taormina.
Each time the food has been very good. Today I ordered Spaghetti Carbonara. If you’re expecting the rich source type of Carbonara then you might be very well surprised. It’s the genuine kind of Carbonara here. That you should expect in Sicily.
For desert we shared Semi Freddo. It was really good! It’s made the period around Christmas.
My wife ordered the Vegetable Soup. Once again it was very tasty, couldn’t be happier.
The service was very good, no real surprise though.
It’s worth the bus trip from Taormina to try this place.

02/01/2025: The food was amazingly good 😍 we ordered lasagne, tomato pasta, pizza and pasta with tuna - everything was delicious. To start, we got bread with olive oil 😍 delicious and warm. And as we left we were treated to almond wine - delicious 😍

17/12/2024: A wine bar housed inside a cave is a quiet place where you can have an aperitif or taste local wines accompanied by cheeses, cured meats and various appetizers.
01/11/2024: We slept in Hotel Villa Sonia and ate here 2 evenings during Halloween. It was beautifully decorated and there was a special Halloween menu. the service was very friendly and the food was very tasty.

05/09/2024: Stunning food, venue and views.
Visited here twice towards the end of our holiday in Sicily - the pizza is to die for and I also tried the swordfish lasagna which was also delicious. The welcoming is very warm, the restaurant is spotlessly clean and the staff are all excellent. Just wish we'd been earlier.
04/09/2024: Ne pas passer par la Caverna à Castelmola si vous séjournez du côté de Taormine serait regrettable. Une cuisine gastronomique à prix raisonnable. Caponata, assortiment de fromages & légumes , pâtes, tout est juste parfait . Nous logions juste à côté à l'hôtel Villa Sonia , qui mérite aussi le détour avec un personnel super accueillant et compétent.

10/11/2024: Excellent 1 night stay with welcome drink and breakfast. The elegant structure that recalls the style of the Sicilian tradition, the staff are courteous, kind and available at any time. I recommend trying the restaurant next door affiliated with the hotel.

02/11/2024: The best pizza of Sicily!! Amazing services and kind people! 😊 In our 7 day stay in Sicily, we went here three times. We loved it so much! 🥰 We 100% recommened to eat here when you are in Castelmola or Taormina.
21/10/2024: Pizzas légèrement décevantes, un peu trop grasses. Le vin n’avait que peu de saveurs tout comme les glaces. Le personnel est néanmoins très sympathique.

30/10/2024: This place has no sense of hospitality and their service was terrible. Glasses for wine and aperol spritz were dirty. Aperol S. was served in a glass of water and without ice…..
It is hard to believe that this place is open.
We opted out from having a diner….easily!
Do yourself favor, ignore this place.

The warm atmosphere, combined with stunning views, makes dining here a truly special experience. The hospitality is exceptional, and everything feels homemade and full of heart.
In the high season, the menu expands to include a variety of fresh fish and seafood, which makes it worth coming back to explore more of Sicily’s culinary treasures.

15/08/2024: On s'installe en fin d'après midi pour une boisson. On demande le prix : 3€. Lorsqu'on veut payer -> 2X3 = 8 visiblement. Pour le principe ce n'est pas agréable. Ils ont finalement accepté de faire payer le prix annoncé. Sinon le lieu est assez sympathique, quoique vieillot. Un terrasse très étroite présente une très belle vue sur l'Etna. Bref, allez-y mais soyez vigilants et demandez les prix (qui comme d'habitude ne sont pas affichés)
