03/07/2025: We had the pleasure of spending our first evening as a married couple in Castelmola, and by pure chance we came across this place. The owner, who was closing, didn't hesitate to welcome us when we looked out to ask if it was still possible to eat something. With great kindness he had us sit at the outside tables and served us some typical dishes, including delicious arancini seasoned with a tasty concoction prepared by him. What can I say... the food was exquisite, but even more exquisite was the meeting with the owner: a generous, simple and authentic person. A heartfelt thank you, because it is precisely these small, great experiences that remain forever in the memories.

12/07/2025: Turrisi Bar is a must-visit for both Castelmola and Taormina. Anyone visiting these parts, even for just a day, can't miss it. It's unique inside and has a breathtaking view outside. The service is excellent, and while they're not the best granitas and brioches in the area, it's still worth a visit and a drink with a view.

12/07/2025: A wonderful and very unique bar. The pistachio and almond granita accompanied by the legendary brioche (served hot) is exceptional. If you visit Castelmola, you can't miss Bar Turrisi. Highly recommended!

17/07/2025: If you want to eat authentic Sicilian food then Trattoria dell’Etna is the restaurant to visit. Just look at the menu and you will see the authenticity of the dishes here, this is the real Sicily, the Sicily of Commissario Montalbano. There are dishes here that that you will not find listed on your average tourist-aimed restaurant but they are dishes full of flavour and intensity. The menu offers a good listing of wines too and plenty of other beverages. Service and presentation is very good too and if there is ever a restaurant with a view to die for then this is the one. Superb. Se volete mangiare l'autentico cibo siciliano allora la Trattoria dell'Etna è il ristorante da visitare. Basta guardare il menu e vedrete la genuinità dei piatti qui, questa è la vera Sicilia, la Sicilia del Commissario Montalbano. Ci sono piatti qui che non troverai elencati nel tuo ristorante turistico medio, ma sono piatti pieni di sapore e intensità. Il menu offre anche una buona lista di vini e molte altre bevande. Il servizio e la presentazione sono molto buoni e se c'è mai un ristorante con una vista da morire, allora questo è quello giusto. Superbo.

09/07/2025: The staff granted our request for a spot on the terrace with a fantastic view. The food was nice. I had a whole grilled fish which was very tasty. The portions for the mains were ok but the accompaniments could have perhaps been more generous given the prices. Service was friendly enough but they were clearly busy and it was a bit annoying when the waiter kept clearing away one person's plate before the other had finished eating, making us feel rushed. The local restaurant down the road was cheaper, friendlier and made us feel more welcome and less rushed.
