13/03/2026: The bar is a legend, anyone who's been there knows it. The cappuccino is delicious, the cannoli is scrumptious, the beer is just right. The views are enough to keep you lingering all day.

27/11/2025: I cant leave review on their food as the restaurant was closed, the resturant hasn't bothered to update their Google operating hours.. we have travelled from Taormina thinking to check the beautiful view enjoy good after, but we were left disappointed. We understand that it is off season times ( end of Nov 2025) but at least they should have made an update as there are still people travelling.

07/08/2025: After two weeks in Taormina, we discovered this hidden gem on our last day and what a wonderful surprise! The warm, welcoming atmosphere created by the kind family who runs the place made us feel right at home.
The food was exactly what we needed: comforting and full of flavor. The vegetable soup was absolutely delicious, the lamb cotoletta was tender and perfectly cooked, and the tagliatelle and swordfish rolls were just fantastic.
On top of all that, the prices were the best we found in Taormina — great quality without the tourist mark-up. I only wish we had found this place sooner! Highly recommended.

02/03/2026: The location is excellent. The food was good. The hosts were very warm and helpful.
The downsides would be the lack of a chef in the morning hours, probably his schedule starts in the afternoon and the lack of some dishes on the menu.

03/11/2025: A charming place, with a beautiful panoramic view, which makes everything romantic and stunning. The food is excellent, the dishes have immense flavor and are cooked and presented with great care.
The entire staff is professional, kind, and attentive to the guests and their needs.
The place is also super clean, which in my opinion highlights all the positive aspects of this place even more.
Highly recommended.
23/10/2025: La Taverna dell'Etna is one of those places that captures your heart even before your palate. Situated in a breathtaking panoramic location, it offers a spectacular view of Mount Etna and the sea that alone is worth the visit. But it's when the food arrives that you realize you're in a truly special place.
The cuisine is authentic, carefully prepared, and based on excellent quality ingredients, carefully selected and treated with respect. The staff is extremely friendly. In short, La Taverna dell'Etna is a place where the view enchants, the cuisine excites, and the hospitality makes you want to return. A little gem at the foot of the volcano. 🌋🍷

10/11/2025: Thank God it was so crowded in Taormina with heavy traffic so we ended up in this great place. It is the best restaurant I've visited during my 10-day visit in Sicily. You can have a very good taste of traditional cuisine and taste one of many wines they offer. The atmosphere in the yard is just magical

28/02/2026: The food calamari griliatta and spaghetti pomodoro were excellent, the Sicilian draft beer was also good. The gentleman who served us was a bit emotionless and indifferent, he didn't even thank us for the tip (in contrast to our experience in many other Italian restaurants), the other staff, a lady and an older gentleman, were pleasant and attentive. The view is beautiful.

La Caverna Wine Bar, Italia

20/06/2025: We are staying at the Villa Sonia Hotel and their restaurant La Caverna is just fabulous and the staff are stars!
We have been made so very welcome by all the staff both at the hotel and restaurant.
The pizzas are to die for and we would highly recommend a visit or maybe two!
30/04/2025: Maria, the owner, was so nice! She explained all the foods and wines perfectly! The wine was very good but the food was amazing! We don't eat so much anymore, so she had the chef split all the courses for us. That was a good idea as we still could not finish it all! Very generous portions! Will tell all my friends and family while in Taormina this is a must!

15/08/2024: On s'installe en fin d'après midi pour une boisson. On demande le prix : 3€. Lorsqu'on veut payer -> 2X3 = 8 visiblement. Pour le principe ce n'est pas agréable. Ils ont finalement accepté de faire payer le prix annoncé. Sinon le lieu est assez sympathique, quoique vieillot. Un terrasse très étroite présente une très belle vue sur l'Etna. Bref, allez-y mais soyez vigilants et demandez les prix (qui comme d'habitude ne sont pas affichés)
