07/08/2025: Perfect for a quick refreshment stop on the way to Etna. We had arancini and fries, all excellent. Very low prices. However, the place was almost completely clean. The bathroom in particular was unusable. Too bad.

27/11/2025: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Bar Cristallo in Paternò is a welcoming and spacious place with a lovely smoke-free atmosphere. It's highly regarded for the quality of its products, especially its brioches, granitas, and fresh and tasty hot snacks. The staff is courteous and quick with their service, and the atmosphere is clean and pleasant. It's an ideal place for both a hearty breakfast and a break during the day. Unfortunately, I've only encountered a sub-par hot snack once. But the overall quality remains high, making it one of the most recommended bars in town.

08/12/2025: If the Sicilian Onion had its own kingdom, it would undoubtedly be Bar Pica in Paternò. Here, Her Majesty the Onion reaches levels that border on culinary poetry: "sublime" is even an understatement to describe a product made with premium ingredients and the artisanal care that only expert hands can provide. One bite and it's an explosion of Sicily: flavors, aromas, and traditions blend together in a perfect mix that literally sends the palate into ecstasy. A masterpiece: 100 with honors. Absolutely highly recommended. An experience every diner lover must try at least once in their lifetime.

08/06/2026: The food is excellent quality and fresh. Unfortunately, the area is what it is. There's not much parking, but the problem is that stupid customers smoke in the non-smoking area. Otherwise, everything was perfect. The waiters were kind.

09/06/2026: Excellent pizza, truly delicious, and crispy fried food, clearly made with fresh, high-quality oil. However, due to the large number of guests, we had dinner at 11:00 PM with pizzas (pizza rounds). We adults resisted, but the kids less so. It's a shame, because, as I repeat, the food was impeccable.

26/04/2026: We found ourselves in Paternò thanks to the GPS, which had gone haywire. At first, I wondered where we'd ended up 🤦; it felt like we were in a town in the Neapolitan hinterland. Everything was closed, no shops were open, nowhere to eat, and the streets were deserted. It was the mid-August holiday. Then, as we set off, we began to discover the town: A Norman tower; a large church; and finally, a restaurant and pizzeria that was about to open: "Ottavo Senso." Judging by the photos in the brochure and the menu, the dishes looked delicious; we then watched others enjoy them. We were craving pizza, so we opted for the one with pistachios, tomatoes, and mozzarella. The place was starting to get crowded, but the pizza never arrived. We chatted, distracted by the pretty good place, while time passed. After a while, the waitress arrived with the pizzas, which, just looking at them and smelling them, gave off a smell that made our already-growing appetite even more intense. 🙄 It was worth it. We've never had such a good pizza. They didn't skimp on the pistachios: they were there. We were full and still eating; my wife took me out to the car with the wheelbarrow. I don't remember how much we paid, but if it had been expensive, we certainly would have remembered. In short: the place was beautiful, the Norman tower and other antiques were beautiful, the people were also beautiful, and the "Ottavo Senso" restaurant and pizzeria, which rounded out the experience with a bang. We'll definitely be back.

14/12/2025: A giant pizzeria!!! The two brothers, Enzo and Salvo, and their team are always super efficient! Very tasty pizza, sandwiches with a variety of fresh toppings, a very comfortable atmosphere, and always helpful and friendly staff!
