07/02/2026: With high expectations after the 4 restaurants program, we booked for lunch. With high expectations, we went in. With great disappointment, we left hungry. We were served butter and croutons, and after two hours, the first course and second course hadn't arrived. Given the chill in the dining room, it goes without saying that we prefer to return to Palermo. I had heard about the kindness and courtesy of the staff... I'll draw a veil over it. Advice. 02/01/2026: I dined at this restaurant drawn by the fame of its wine cellar, and I must confirm that, food-wise, the experience was impeccable. The Location: The restaurant is truly delightful and authentic, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The real highlight is the adjoining wine cellar: an excellent selection of niche wines, curated with extreme passion and expertise. The labels aren't high-sounding but are truly exquisite. The Cuisine: Top-quality ingredients. Each dish speaks of the region and absolute quality. From appetizers to main courses, you can sense a meticulous selection of ingredients and a skill in the kitchen that enhances them without overdoing them. The combination of the food and the recommended wines was perfect. The Service (a sore point): The wait time was decidedly long, from taking the order to the arrival of the dishes. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable, meticulous, and extremely strict, but the time management between the kitchen and dining room seems a bit too "calm," risking detracting from an otherwise excellent evening. Prices: In line with the quantity and quality of the product. In summary: A magical place for those who love good wine and excellent cuisine. I would definitely return for the quality of the food and the wine cellar, but only on an evening when I'm not in a rush and can enjoy the slow pace of the meal. Highly recommended for a romantic dinner or for a connoisseur, but less so for those looking for dynamic service.

29/12/2025: We found this place by chance in the beautiful center of Castiglione di Sicilia. Impeccable service, friendly, helpful staff. Excellent, high-quality food. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended; we'll definitely be back.

17/12/2025: After visiting the Alcantara Gorge, we ended up at this little restaurant. We received a very friendly welcome. We were told what dishes were available that day. The tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms was so good that we ordered another portion – which says it all ;-) Our friends had tagliatelle pomodoro and eggplant – also a real treat. We received complimentary Christmas cookies with our coffee – and took some home with us, as they were also very good. If you happen to be in the area, a visit to this small, charming restaurant is definitely worthwhile. Great praise to the owners and the chef.

29/08/2025: Truly sensationally delicious ice cream (pistachio) and aranchini. I thought the reviews here (the best in Sicily) were exaggerated, but it might actually be true :) Definitely try it! Update after 3 weeks traveling all over Sicily: These were truly the best ice cream in a brioche and the best aranchini!!!

18/12/2025: We stayed here off-season (December 15-17) so it almost felt like we were alone in the entire hotel. We only saw a few other people. Since it was off-season I think we got a good price, since the spa was included. The staff was also very helpful and professional. The breakfast was ok. The restaurant menu was very limited and the food was mediocre. We dined here the first night but ended up driving to a nearby village the next evening. The drinks at the bar were good. However I struggle to see this being a luxury 5-star hotel, it’s more of a really good 4-star one.
