21/03/2025: I do not recommend it, I felt discriminated. I arrived and on a table outside there was a man smoking who was hit with an ashtray very kindly, next to me one with a vape. When I finished eating, I lit my cigarette , the manager came running to me & in a very bad way he told me that you that I couldn’t smoke. When I was leaving I went to tell them that I felt discriminated since there were 2 tables in which they were smoking and the only one with bad manners, they asked him to put out his cigarette. If I was a man I think the manager would hit me because he yelled at me in such a way that it was to report him to the police just like a waiter who put up with him. The girl who gives you the table another rude person, with sarcastic laughter she told I’m not seeing anything. If I’m the owner of the place I kick them out!

Mario, the owner, was incredibly friendly and made us feel like family. His passion for great food and service truly shines through. The food was simply outstanding—every dish was packed with authentic Italian flavors. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the pizza had that delicious wood-fired crispness, and the gelato was the perfect sweet finish. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and everything was beautifully presented. Beyond the amazing food, the atmosphere was absolutely charming. Nestled in the picturesque streets of Old Naples, Barbatella offers a perfect blend of casual elegance. The courtyard dining area adds to the experience, making it an ideal spot to soak in the beauty and ambiance of this historic district. 02/12/2024: We had a wonderful evening here! We were in the entrance room, well heated and welcoming. The food was really great! We started with the french fries, fresh and not frozen, with ketchup and mayonnaise, homemade. Oh my goodness! They were so good that we ordered a second portion, this time cacio e pepe... A real delight!! Continuing with the sandwiches, what can I say!! A goodness! Super stuffed and with very fresh ingredients. I took the one with horse meat, cooked very well, and so tender that it melted in your mouth! Those of the other diners were also really tasty! I will definitely be back!!

14/11/2024: Pizza molto gustosa, cut into diamonds instead of triangles, contrary to orthodox methods. A place for ordering pizza for delivery/takeaway, but the staff there understands Poles who read from a piece of paper in Italian very well.

18/03/2025: Pranzato divinamente, complimenti allo chef e a tutto il personale di Sala, molto attento alle esigenze dei commensali. Cucina gourmet, una parmigiana da 10 e lode, un misto carne alla griglia, come la verdura, ai massimi livelli. Ho scelto un vino Nero Avola/Shiraz eccezionale. Se andate a Caltagirone, all’inizio della scalinata a sinistra, in fondo al vicoletto…SUPER!!!

Tutto perfetto, dalla qualità e soprattutto quantità del cibo mangiato. Tutti i piatti assolutamente genuini e della tradizione. Il prezzo poi è incredibile per quello che si mangia. Assolutissimamente consigliato
