Let's start with the positives. The dough was dry, well-leavened, and well-cooked, and easily digestible. The toppings, however, were less impressive; the Norma pizza was a bit disappointing; the diced eggplant, under-fried, and tasteless, was not good at all. The tomato puree was of poor quality. The white pizza with mortadella and pistachio cream was also uninspiring. Given the high prices, I suggest improving the quality of the ingredients and sticking to traditional recipes.

24/01/2026: Everything was excellent, I have rarely been to places like this, excellent sandwiches, excellent service, truly exceptional staff and the place is wonderful and the bathrooms are very clean (like the whole place), it is seriously the best place I have ever been to, congratulations indeed ❤️❤️

25/07/2026: The staff moves through the room with an old-fashioned grace: attentive without ever being intrusive, precise, and impeccable in their timing. Excellent management is clearly evident, where nothing is left to chance and guests are pampered with discretion and natural refinement.
11/07/2026: A wonderful discovery at this gourmet restaurant. Excellent and original cuisine featuring local produce. An interesting menu with a great selection at a very reasonable price. Impeccable service, with a waiter who was excellent at explaining the chef's creations. A refined and intimate atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I was looking for a place in Gela where I could eat well without surprises on the bill, and I found it.
At Miseria e Nobiltà, "misery" is only in the name: on the plate, you get all the nobility of well-made Sicilian cuisine. Quality ingredients, just the right portions, and flavors that remind you of home.
18/06/2026: We were absolutely thrilled! The service was incredibly friendly, attentive, and exceptionally courteous from the very beginning. You immediately feel welcome and in excellent hands.
The appetizers deserve special mention: all the ingredients seemed fresh, high-quality, and locally sourced. The flavors were perfectly balanced and truly delicious.
The main course was equally impressive. The meat was cooked to perfection, wonderfully tender, superbly seasoned, and incredibly flavorful. You can tell that great emphasis is placed on quality and meticulous preparation.
Overall, a fantastic culinary experience with outstanding service and superb cuisine. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back! 😊

Excellent octopus, excellent 5-course fish tasting menu (Mediterranean roast), the children had swordfish, very good.
