18/04/2025: They have been open since 1960. In a tiny place they only make pizzas with very simple and traditional recipes. Perhaps this is the key to success. On busy days there is a queue outside. People who come from outside on purpose. A true institution in Porto Empedocle. Try both specialties, the margherita and the one with sardines. Very good. Fast and friendly staff. A must of Argentine street food. Recommended.

17/05/2025: I had dinner at this restaurant on Tuesday, May 13th and I was very satisfied! Everything was good but my favorite dish was the sarde a beccafico! Simple appetizer but at the same time difficult to cook and find the right balance of ingredients. Keep it up Sabino from Genoa

15/05/2025: Unfortunately, despite good reviews, this restaurant is not recommended. The service was unfriendly, arrogant, and bored right from the start. The appetizer (caponata) was a complete disappointment, as you had to use a magnifying glass to find the fish. The pasta dishes were mediocre. Overall, the value for money is poor.

20/04/2025: Hotel: no idea, we were only here to eat. Restaurant: Our experience was very sobering. First of all: we are obviously tourists, but we speak Italian fluently and very well. Tel. Table reserved, they said: no problem, there are still many tables available. When we arrived, no reservation found, we were given a table for 2 for 3 people (although other tables for 4 were free and remained free for a long time..). Place setting came at some point, dirty. Wine glasses were beyond dirty, disgusting. No smile from the waitress, no friendly word. Drinks were almost simply slammed on the table. Impression: tourists not welcome. There was only reluctant bread for the soup and whether you can call it a bread basket... (see photo). The main course only came after we were asked after about an hour what we would like for dessert... It's a shame that the service is so subpar, because the food/quality was surprisingly very, very good. Whether soup, pizza, pasta, house wine, everything was perfect. We won't be coming back (and we think the staff will be happy about it).

The place is located in an interesting building (even the owner was not able to say how long ago the place where the place is located was built.) Very affordable prices and high quality of food and service. I like visiting this place because I feel comfortable and very pleasant there. What surprised me the most is the number of languages ​​in which you can communicate here. You can easily communicate here in German, English, Spanish or even French. It is a very pleasant way to meet the customer.

02/04/2025: I arrived to spend the day in Porto Empedocle, before going to the beach and arriving at the Stalla dei Turchi, I walked around the center for a bit and saw this shop. I walked around, and on my way back to Loreto to catch the bus, and feeling hungry, I went to this bar. In particular I asked for a sandwich, but they have more things to offer, a great variety of sandwiches, and I chose one of cooked ham and bruschetta, with smoked provola. The price, together with a can, 6 euros, not bad. The correct and kind attention, and the sandwich itself, delicious. Back to Porto Empedocle, at least I don't have to worry about finding where to eat.

We believe that they forgot the order and after insisting they took it out (they had brought us drinks, starter but no sandwiches) After bad manners they had overcharged us and we had to be with the man reviewing the menu prices because he had been "wrong" in the price of the drinks. A shame, it looked good but 45 minutes late and above all, having people try to scam you and having bad manners (a little aggressive) spoils your meal

26/04/2025: I had lunch and dinner with my daughter in this beautiful old-fashioned place. Staff in uniform but not excessively formal and attentive to the customer, very nice mise en place, pleasant environment with a beautiful view of the Porto Empedocle beach. The à la carte menu is almost exclusively based on fish, but obviously they have the classic cutlet or slice for those who want meat. I appreciated the spaghetti with mussels they suggested and, the day before, the remarkable paccheri with red prawn and pistachio taken by my daughter. It is not a cheap place with a fixed menu of 25-30 euros, the prices are slightly higher than average, but the portions are generous. Recommended for those who love fish and want quality service.

25/05/2025: Great restaurant with an excellent quality-price ratio! A nice discovery, generous portions with interesting vegan options, both on the menu and off the menu (pictured: cherry and basil pasta, and vegan pasta with sardines, i.e. without sardines 😂). Impeccable service, kind and attentive staff. I highly recommend it!

22/05/2025: Nice decor, but the tables are almost exclusively filled with tourists. We had seafood pasta. Nothing to complain about, it was very good and well served. (For primi piatti). Sicilian beers were fresh and refreshing. However, where it goes wrong is the desserts. The Sicilian cassata was way too sweet (we couldn't taste anything else) and the "seasonal" fruits were hard as rocks. (Pears and nectarines). Too bad in the middle of the strawberry, medlar and prickly pear season.

23/10/2024: Restaurent accueillant avec des produits de qualité. Les plats sont tous tournés autour de la mer; un seul plat de viande est proposé mais il est délicieux. Les desserts et les boissons sont bonnes. Il y a moyen de boire du bon vin car la carte est grande. Le serveur parle anglais correctement, ce qui facilite la communication. Le service est rapide et les plats sont biens présentés. On recommande cet endroit, dont on attendait rien mais qui nous a beaucoup plu.

08/11/2024: Excellent desserts! The true taste of Sicilian pastries! I recommend a ricotta cartoccio which is enough to replace lunch! 🤣 There is also a cafeteria. Only the place where it is located and the internal environment are not that great. There are no seats, except a bench with 2 stools and an external bench. However I highly recommend!
