The menu indicates which fish is locally available fresh and which is prepared frozen seasonally, providing good transparency. The two servers were very friendly, relaxed, and prompt. For good food in Castelsardo, we can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

Nothing stiff, nothing pretentious – just low-key conversations, the smell of slow cooking and a pace that follows the kitchen rather than the clock. It feels like a trattoria that has been there for a long time, and that knows exactly what it is. The food is rustic and full of soul. The pasta is perfectly al dente, the sauces deep and well-balanced, and each dish tastes as if it was cooked with patience rather than ambition. It’s not spectacular in a loud way – it’s just very, very good. You stay. Take your time. Let the conversation flow and your plate empty at its own pace. Trattoria Da Mirko is not just a restaurant – it’s a kitchen where tradition, warmth and simplicity meet, and where you’ll be happy to return without hesitation.

12/01/2026: The food was average, but the worst part was the sand in the clams in the pasta dish I ordered. I was already full and didn't mention it (also because I don't like food being wasted).

16/10/2025: A beautiful inn on Mount Minerva, surrounded by nature. A spacious veranda with seating, perfect for groups, and a splendid view of the plateau. Rich, hearty dishes and truly delicious traditional Sardinian cuisine. The agliata appetizer and cheese platters are excellent, as are the malloreddus with meat sauce and the spectacular porceddu with potatoes. The Sardinian winter melon for dessert is also very popular, perfect for degreasing after lunch. Highly recommended!

22/09/2025: We stopped for a quick and reasonably priced late breakfast. The avocado toast options are large. The avocados were tasty and the one with the scrambled eggs and bacon was exceptionally good. The French toast was ok but definitely the French make it. The coffee was very good. There is outside seating and toilet facilities.
