11/09/2025: Great food, amazing place, view and nice staff

10/09/2025: We stopped here after leaving Cala Luna & oh my goodness. The view is breathtaking, but what stood out was the amazing customer service. All the staff were warm and friendly and the drinks are phenomenal. They brought out complimentary snacks while we drank. They even let us play our own music, as the restaurant was still empty. As the evening rolled in, the view got more spectacular. Definitely the icing on the cake of an amazing day!

26/08/2025: There are long lines for pizzas, so it's worth making reservations. It took 25 minutes to bring our food. Good value for money.

26/08/2025: We had pizza for dinner, which was undeniably good, but they made us sit at a table set up outside, across the street, at the tables in the municipal playground that have backless benches. All the pizzas are also served on paper plates. It's better to buy takeout and dine on the beach than to be "squeezed" like this.

04/09/2025: We had a very nice stay. The complex is beautifully situated and beautifully designed. A highlight is the pool, which is beautifully landscaped, with a bar right next to it and a beautiful view. Our room with a kitchen was okay, with a lovely veranda. The kitchen could have been a bit better equipped, but we were able to cook well. Highly recommended!

04/09/2025: Very well located, close to many points of interest. The staff is very friendly, cheerful, and has great recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. The setting is wonderful, and the snacks are very, very good. We particularly liked the attention paid to the pool and bar, which are very charming. It feels like home. In short, we loved our stay!

29/08/2025: Really tasty pizza, with so many options it was hard to choose! The setting and atmosphere was lovely, we sat outside with fairy lights and a view of the sunset. The tiramisu was also excellent. The service was quite slow, but this wasn't a problem, as it meant the evening was a nice occasion and didn't feel rushed. They remove the bread basket once main courses arrive, so make sure you don't wait to get the bread you want!

22/07/2025: My favorite restaurant, while visiting Cala Gonone. The food was very tasty and flavorful, and although it is on the pricier side, I believe it is better than all other restaurants in the area. Service seemed a bit chaotic, but when asking for something forgotten, they were on it right away. The atmosphere was very warm and cozy. The tables aren’t on top of each other so it also offers a chance for a nice conversation, without other tables being loud or being forced to listen. The views are also absolutely gorgeous. The restaurant seemed quite full every day, therefore I would recommend a reservation. On the day I visited, we arrived around 19:45, it was full, but the very friendly host offered us a reservation for about an hour later.

21/07/2025: It's worth making a reservation and eating outside with a sea view 🌊 the food was great and of high quality, even the olive oil for the bread was organic and from a nearby place in Sardinia

07/09/2025: Excellent review for this restaurant with a wonderful view. Delicious traditional food; we tried several dishes, and they were a surprise. I especially recommend the fregola with sheep ragù and the goat stew, both delicious. The staff were smiling and very friendly. The terrace is breathtaking. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️

06/09/2025: Restaurant review. I think it was the best of the entire vacation. Everything was truly excellent, from the service, food, wine, ambiance, and all the staff. The photos speak for themselves (two or four are missing because the dishes were finished before we remembered to take them).

06/09/2025: We started with appetizers, skate salad, and fish meatballs—a fantastic start. The dinner continued with exceptional spaghetti with clams and remarkable tagliatelle allo scoglio. Finally, the dinner concluded with an excellent mixed grill of seafood. All the dishes were plentiful and of excellent quality, and the staff were truly friendly, smiling, and helpful. Highly recommended.

22/08/2025: We discovered this place by chance two years ago. This year we returned specifically for breakfast. What can I say, it was delicious! Exceptional pastries and delicious jam. Also excellent gluten-free desserts. I (a celiac) tried the biscuits and a cream puff (also lactose-free) and was very satisfied. I'm happy to have found a place that also offers gluten-free products, a remarkable service that is often hard to find. We'll definitely be back!

13/07/2025: A cozy pastry shop. I was looking for a gluten- and lactose-free breakfast, and as a celiac, I was prepared for the worst. This place, however, exceeded my expectations: ice cream, pastries, and milkshakes, along with soy and oat milk (a rare find), friendly and knowledgeable staff. Open on Sundays. I left happy!

10/06/2025: We had lunch here after a visit to the caves. Great service and a good menu, we had grilled calamari and an octopus salad. Took great photos from the restaurant of the view.

25/05/2025: Fantastisch eten met fantastisch uitzicht. Helaas vroeg in seizoen dus we waren met nog een ander stel en dat was het. Super goede bediening. Het eten was echt super lekker en vers. Enorme aanrader.

17/08/2025: A perfect weekend in every way I spent two wonderful days at this property: comfortable room, relaxing atmosphere, and attention to detail. Chef Gianni's cuisine was truly a treat, with tasty and carefully prepared dishes—especially the unforgettable seafood fregola. The dining room service, managed with professionalism and friendliness by Teresa, Nicola, and the entire staff, made the experience even more enjoyable. I recommend this place to anyone seeking quality, authentic hospitality, and the warmth that makes you feel at home.

12/08/2025: A very nice restaurant, with a menu featuring well-prepared local specialties, and prompt and attentive service. The atmosphere is further enhanced by the presence of some very friendly and sociable cats.

17/08/2025: Hotel San Francisco is a really nice place. We felt well-cared from the very beginning, and were given very good instructions on how to get to the hotel (we received a very helpful video). The communication with the staff was fantastic – we arrived in Cala Gonone really late but Mr. Maurizio was waiting for us and kept in touch with us, for which we were truly grateful. The room was very comfortable and very clean, the staff kept the rooms very clean. Breakfast outside was very pleasant, with a beautiful view, very close to the sea. Mr. Maurizio was truly helpful with every issue – from small tips about the location to attractions around Cala Gonone. The location is excellent; despite the lack of parking directly at the hotel, finding a parking space nearby was never a problem – we were also very grateful for the staff's tips. We also highly recommend ice cream – the best in all Cala Gonone! We hope to return to this beautiful place, and if we do, we will definitely choose the Hotel San Francisco, where we could truly relax. Greetings Magda & Marek

25/02/2025: Rollettas di Carnevale, come da sapiente tradizione, aperte a ventaglio come un fiore e di bianco zucchero a velo ricoperte, eccellenti.

04/09/2025: Gold cutlery and cloth napkins, unfortunately, can't make up for the food. Judging by the clientele and the quality, this is a tourist trap and not an authentic Sardinian restaurant. The seafood in several dishes is overcooked and carelessly slapped onto the plate. Cala Gonone offers significantly better cuisine in restaurants with supposedly lesser ambiance, so keep looking :)
