05/07/2025: We were passing through after visiting Puglia by motorbike, in conclusion we started looking for a place where we could eat well and pay fair price. Here it is in Manduria (TA) the Messapian trattoria satisfied all our needs, staff, cuisine, dishes, location, everything was top, I only stayed one night but I would go back for another 100 just to taste their dishes again

01/07/2025: Unfortunately, a big disappointment. We trusted the reviews on Google, but the experience was anything but positive. The location is very suggestive, an intimate courtyard with a few tables, and upon arrival, even though there were three of us and we hadn't booked, they still sat us down After bringing us a bottle of water, we waited about 40 minutes before someone came to take our order. The waitress began to describe the bread and a taste of local oil with great emphasis... But we were there to have dinner, not for a "bread tasting" (good, for goodness' sake, but not justification for that wait). After another 20 minutes, a small appetizer arrives (a beef tartare). At that point we asked to know how long we would still have to wait for the first courses, since it was starting to become clear that the waiting times were excessively long. The waitress's response was, to say the least, out of place: we were told that, since we hadn't booked, the service had given priority to the other tables. In total, however, there were only 15 people, divided among 7 tables (of which six were for 2 people). Too bad that out of 15 people in total, only half had actually booked. An absurd explanation, which suggests poor management skills. At 10:30 pm, we decided to ask for the bill (we had arrived around 9:00 pm), and even in this case the justification was bizarre: "Some customers arrived at 8:00 pm and left at midnight, they had a nice evening". But can you really justify slow service by saying that others stayed longer? In our opinion, they should have told us right away that, since we hadn't booked, the waiting times would have been long. It would have been a more transparent and correct choice. The problem is not only the wait, but the attitude: senseless justifications, unprofessional explanations and very small portions for a restaurant that isn't even a star. In short, a terrible and forgettable experience. It almost seems that the interest in the customer, especially if they are tourists, is secondary. Too bad, because Manduria is a splendid city, and the location has potential. But fortunately there are other restaurants in the area where you can definitely eat better and with a more organized service. Good morning, I reply to your answer: We did not arrive at 10 pm but at 9 pm. And we left at 10:30 pm. Maybe you are confusing someone else. (I attach a photo of the receipt) and of the tables occupied last night. Furthermore, even though we had not booked, it was you who seated us, so I find it inappropriate to justify the waiting times with the absence of a reservation. Regarding the fact that we were in a hurry and that I should not have gone to the restaurant, honestly you could have avoided this answer. I do not expect to eat like in a fast food restaurant, but neither to wait all that time for two courses, one of which did not even require cooking. A simple gesture of understanding, perhaps an apology for the wait, would have been much more elegant and professional. If you welcome a customer even without a reservation, you have the duty to guarantee a dignified service. Otherwise, just warn immediately of the long waiting times and leave the customer the freedom to choose whether to stay or not.

29/06/2025: A true experience for the eyes and the palate, dishes prepared and studied in detail, inside an exceptional location: the courtyard of a historic building in the center of Manduria. Here the passion shines through in everything, both in the dishes and in the service: impeccable, Petra sommelier and room manager welcomes you with a dazzling smile and is ready to satisfy the most diverse needs. We started our dinner with a tasting based on local oil and baked goods, carefully prepared by the chef, a unique delicacy! Then fish, very fresh and worked to perfection and super tasty vegetables from their garden. It is rare to find places like this nowadays and I think that for how they work, they deserve to be included among the starred restaurants in Puglia.

24/06/2025: Nice place and location, great food. Maps was confusing to find and we drove around the country lanes for almost half an hour. For those who aren't familiar with the area, better directions are needed.

26/05/2025: Highly recommended! My husband and I chose Antica Masseria Surani Grande, in Manduria, for the most important day of our lives: our wedding day! A dream location, surrounded by greenery, elegant and refined. We relied on the experience and professionalism of Mimma who, from the beginning, understood our needs, welcomed every request and dealt with every eventuality that arose in the best possible way. She was able to advise us on everything. We then had the opportunity to stay there and enjoy a breathtaking view and a real mini apartment in the Masseria, very well-kept and beautiful. There are no criticisms but only compliments: quality, elegance, competence. Thank you for making our day unique and perfect!

31/05/2025: Recommended by the owners of our B&B, we came to Angolo 37 for dinner and we loved it. All the ingredients are extra fresh and cooked with great finesse. The sauces are light and full of flavor, and the seafood is excellent. Even the fried food isn't greasy... we loved it, so we came back. Our favorite: the pasta with langoustines and shrimp. Thank you for tantalizing our taste buds!

18/05/2025: Location: seafront and basic furnishings. It has outdoor tables. Excellent Menu: If you want to taste "the fish" approach the counter, choose and it will be served to you. Fresh fish, raw fish, sea urchins, carpaccio (I recommend swordfish carpaccio or tuna and octopus). The sea shells (like snails) are a delight. Excellent first courses, I recommend lenguine with the aroma of sea urchin pulp and scialatelli with scampi and the aroma of shrimp. The homemade desserts are a delight. Wide selection of wines. Fast and attentive service. The kind owner Antonella offered us a bitter. Average high price, but considering the fresh fish I would say excellent. It is always a pleasure to return to Angolo 37 and I see that the environment has also improved. Congratulations to everyone.

Nuestra experiencia con la cena fue 100% fantástica, desde el amuse bouche hasta el aperitivo y las cenas, tanto nuestros postres elegidos como los pequeños postres que vinieron con nuestra experiencia. El vino era fantástico de la bodega local Produttori di Manduria y el servicio era lo que cabría esperar de un restaurante de este calibre y, sin embargo, también amable, personal, y con un guiño. 18/05/2025: The best ice cream in all of Puglia. I'm an ice cream lover. There's such good ice cream all over Italy, Germany, France, Austria, and Switzerland. Every time I'm in Manduria, I have to try at least one ice cream from Le Delizie. And I always have to try new flavors of the pastries. Many thanks to the chefs for your passion and dedication.

12/07/2025: A truly wonderful experience! My husband and I were looking for a place to spend a week with our girls and truly relax. The location, with a truly unique sea view, was excellent, with the option to choose what to eat each day; the town center is just steps away, with plenty of places to dine. The food at the hotel is excellent, both for breakfast (with a variety of savory and sweet options) and for dinner. The staff were attentive and extremely helpful, some furnishings could use updating, but everything was very clean, and you could sense the desire to improve year after year. On the beach, there were comfortable umbrellas and loungers, and outside showers to cool off and rinse off the sand before returning. We were looking for tranquility and simplicity, and here we found it in a truly unique setting. We left our hearts here!

Owners attentive to the customer in every aspect, available and always ready to make the stay as comfortable and peaceful as possible. Tasty restaurant dishes, with a complete menu at a good price.
