21/07/2025: We returned, after a few years, to this place we love, and as always we feel at home. The owners and all the staff are extremely kind. The cuisine is unconventional, excellent, and of high quality. My husband and I had the octopus appetizer and the fish parmigiana, which were delicious. Then a first course with octopus, sublime. The price was in line with what we tasted. A wonderful experience in a magical place. Recommended for anyone visiting Salento.

03/06/2025: Arrivati verso le 14 a Castro avevamo esigenza dj mangiare qualcosa. Ci siamo affacciati dalla piazzetta che da sul porticciolo e abbiamo visto questo locale con tavoli solo all'aperto. Nonostante non avessimo prenotato e ci fosse molta gente ci hanno fatto accomodare e abbiamo mangiato. Personale davvero cortese e qualità delle portate di buon livello. Consigliatissimo.

06/07/2025: Mediocre place. They were not doing pizza for lunch so we had some other meals which were ok but nothing special.
27/05/2025: The pizza at this restaurant is a dream, I highly recommend it! I ordered three pizzas, and they were ready within 15 minutes. I ordered takeout, and the pizza was delivered to me in a sturdy box that kept the pizza warm very well. The price/performance ratio is also very good.
The staff is very friendly to tourists, but if you don't speak Italian, you should make sure you have an interpreter app with you.

18/07/2025: The restaurant has a charming sea view, but it's poorly utilized, as the view is obstructed by the "decorations" (wooden barriers), which prevent a full view of the panorama. To start our dinner, we ordered fried food, which was very salty. Next, we ordered pucce, which were decent. It's a shame about the long wait, lasting 35-40 minutes.
11/07/2025: A small restaurant near the Castro marina with a beautiful view of it and where you can enjoy excellent food, from appetizers to dessert, everything was delicious, even the pizza, which we didn't order, looked tasty.

24/06/2025: We had dinner during our stay in Castro. Very nice place, with a characteristic outdoor garden. The food was excellent, the staff was kind and the evening was very pleasant.
07/06/2025: This restaurant seems to thrive mainly on its reputation and local family meals or celebrations. The setting is pleasant and flowery, but that's about it. Our four linguine with sea bass and peppers were bland, barely drained, and the garnish (decent sea bass, small peppers—well, mostly their skins—) was almost cold... Only the white wine was good.
Poor value for money.

14/06/2025: Waited 45 minutes for two Spritz. Bar not even full. The waiter didn't even apologize for the delay... plus, we sat down at 6:30 pm and they didn't even bring two peanuts with the drinks

04/02/2025: We had the pleasure to stay here in September 2024 and it was stunning! The views are expansive and absolutely beautiful. The pool is a great place to relax for the day perched high on the cliff overlooking the blue sea with a drink in my hand. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had anything we needed and were comfortable during our stay. We even brushed up on our Italian and learned some new words from them. We were treated like family. The food was simple yet delicious and the breakfast spread was the perfect way to start each day with homebaked goods and the most perfect eggs! The view from the dining room can't be beat either. Blue sea and sky as far as one can see! If you are coming to Castro and want to stay at a cute family run place with the most amazing views and friendly staff, this is the place to stay. I look forward to returning here one day.
A special shout out to Alessandra who assisted me with a package that needed to be shipped to me in the US. She went above and beyond to make sure it was packaged securely and shipped off to me.
26/12/2024: The meals were good and plentiful, excellent value for money, the owners were very helpful and sociable, the only flaw was the welcome buffet, although it was quite generous there was no space to get close because it was too crowded, the DJ was very engaging and good

17/09/2024: I have the pleasure of sharing with all of you our wonderful experience in this location: a warm, professional and at the same time familiar welcome from all the staff. Rooms of various types and locations, with breathtaking sea views. Personal space on the cliff, adequately set up, to fully enjoy the crystal clear sea of the area. Excellent cuisine, rich in all the nuances of typical local cuisine. Excellent value for money.
What can I say? We will definitely be back.
