06/10/2025: A place of pilgrimage with a matching photo gallery of various papal visits. Since we'd already seen so many churches in Puglia, this one isn't really worth it.

You can choose from an "aperitivo" platter with many small portions, a mini sandwich with cured meats, various cold cuts, a small plate of ravioli, eggplant in oil, or a mini salad with salmon and orange. You can also choose from a variety of delicacies, such as a delicious, generously filled fried calzone, or other specialties. Good coffee and creamy coffee. You can also order a brioche with gelato. Very reasonable prices. A pleasant discovery. 2025 is a confirmation: the quality of the aperitivo platter and the friendly service.

14/09/2025: Quality, kindness, and courtesy are three rare traits found in a venue, but at Bar Castrum in Castrignano del Capo, they're a hallmark. We arrived late for aperitivo, which was just closing time, yet the staff greeted us with a sincere smile and great professionalism. They patiently waited for us to finish, never making us feel rushed. An experience worth repeating: we'll definitely be back, and this time on time ;-)

22/10/2025: Courtesy and kindness were endless. The croissants and rustici made especially for us at 6 in the morning were excellent: EXTRAORDINARY!!!

23/08/2025: Excellent breakfast! We started the day off right thanks to this welcoming and well-kept bar. The staff was exceptionally kind, smiling, and attentive, creating a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. Recommended! (Especially the chocolate shell!!!!)

06/11/2025: Without a doubt, the WORST restaurant experience of my life, so bad I thought I was being filmed. The pizza maker (bald and tattooed, so he'd recognize himself) gave us a terrible welcome: no friendliness whatsoever, a curt tone, and not a smile—too busy serving himself and eating slices of cheese from the topping tray. But the worst part was that while he was preparing our pizzas, my little girl pointed out that he was coughing into his hands, on the fresh dough and the toppings. When I pointed it out to him, he said he'd washed his hands and was going to remake our pizzas, which obviously he didn't do because I kept a close eye on him. So we left our pizzas on the table untouched and left angry and hungry. A week later, I'm still shocked by this lack of hygiene and respect for customers.
