19/11/2025: The nice atmosphere got quickly spoiled by one of the owners. I used to go regularly - every day at some point - to have a coffee, a trammezzino (not really good, but hey) and a coke. One evening, when I tried to sit down, one of the owners said ‘I couldn’t just order a coffee; I had to order an aperitivo’. As someone who is recently sober, I struggled to navigate this situation. I said ‘I could order a coffee and a coke?’ With a slightly dismissive tone he replied ‘well yeah, I guess’. This made for a confusing, akward, and slightly upsetting experience. I decided to leave (even if there were plenty of spaces). I understand to bank on aperitivo hour, but it would be nice if they considered people who may not, or cannot drink. Usually most owners are extremely friendly. This one was not. I hope someone well pleasantly prove me wrong on this matter. At the moment (as a former semi-regular) I feel a bit upset about the experience

27/08/2025: The only aperitivo worth its salt in San Vito dei Normanni. Excellent service and excellent products. Many local bars should learn the meaning of "aperitivo" here. Highly recommended also for the traditional cuisine offered, and above all, still at fair prices. If you're passing by, stop by...it's definitely worth it.

24/08/2025: A very modern place, more of a cocktail bar than a restaurant. The tartar was good, but a bit undercooked. The big flaw: what they call a "chicken burger" isn't really a burger, but a very thin, breaded chicken breast, dry and tasteless. I ordered a burger, and it wasn't. The service was a bit slow. I'm sorry because the place has a lot of culture and potential.

12/10/2025: Staying at the nearby Granarola Castle, we decided to have dinner at this place just outside the hotel. We each ordered a first course and a second course, and both were average. The dessert was good. The portions weren't small, but the price was a bit high for the quality.

08/10/2025: As always, Osteria Melograno is a guarantee for quality, kindness, and prices. We went with our little dog and had grilled frittatas and the famous "tagliatelle del diavolo" (devil's tagliatelle). 27/10/2025: Along a busy road, it's nice to find a place to stop for a relaxing break. Unfortunately, however, the tables where you can sit outside are on the path leading to the restaurant's entrance. At peak times, you risk being overwhelmed by the comings and goings of other patrons, compromising your tranquility and, above all, your privacy.

25/09/2025: An occasional stop. The flaky croissant was very good and reasonably priced, but the cream-filled maritozzo was a disappointment. The dough was hard and the cream was bitter, making it a very overpriced value—€5 was truly too much. Nice atmosphere, and the lady was very kind. Would I go back? I don't think so. But in all honesty, it deserves a 4-star rating.
