30/06/2025: Dinner with friends, a fun evening, so much so that we were the last ones to leave. The waiters and the owners were very kind and did not pressure us to get up. The dinner was appreciated by all of us, well presented on the plate and good.

06/09/2025: Centrally located restaurant in Trento, with German-style decor. Lunch with the Panavision travel group, featuring a German-style menu. Pleasant.

15/07/2025: Fantastic experience at this osteria, which I found somewhat by chance. The dishes are sophisticated and very good. We didn't try the pizzas, but they looked very interesting. The stria and the pasta dishes were good. The portions are generous. The desserts are very tasty, the best tiramisu I've ever had anywhere.

14/07/2025: The place is cute and the atmosphere welcoming. The food is decent, although it would be helpful to have a menu with ingredients described in Italian as well—we ordered goulash without knowing it was very spicy, and unfortunately, it wasn't listed. We were a bit disappointed by the service. We had the impression that the attention was mostly paid to regulars or locals. As newcomers, we felt left out: we waited about 20 minutes before we could order a coffee, while the staff was almost exclusively dedicated to another nearby table. Furthermore, everyone else at the table was asked if they'd like a digestif, except us. Overall, a place with potential, but the welcome could be improved, especially towards tourists.

26/07/2025: Visited on the evening of July 18th. La Vecchia Canonica is located in the town center, in a small square. If there's an event going on—they're quite frequent in the summer—you'll have to park further away because, as happened to us, there's no space. The place is pleasant, recently renovated, carefully lit, and well-furnished. There were four of us, and we dined on the outdoor terrace, which I highly recommend, both for the mountain view and the cool air: there's no air conditioning inside (which it should be, as we're only 700 meters above sea level, and it's decidedly too hot in the summer). The waitresses were very kind and helpful. We ordered four pizzas, two of which were gluten-free, all good, rich, and well-cooked. Specifically, two Vecchia Canonica and two Nostrana, which completely satisfied us. The portion of fries was also good. The gelato was good, the strudel was average, not memorable, and the chocolate cake was quite good. We enjoyed the place and recommend it. I'll definitely be back to try the first and second courses. In my opinion, it has two flaws: 1) the most serious is undoubtedly the excessively slow service (about 40 minutes, for the record, and years ago, a dinner with friends on the evening of August 15th went much, much worse); 2) rather high prices: the four of us spent €82.50, which is not a small amount, but I particularly note that the €3 supplement for the gluten-free pizza is excessive, the 10% cover charge is decidedly excessive (and, incidentally, I'd never seen it anywhere else), and finally, €6-7 for dessert is a lot. In summary: a nice place where you can enjoy spending time and eating well, but it's rather expensive and the service could use some work.

26/04/2025: It feels like being in an Italian-American pizzeria in Manhattan due to the type of pizza served. A battle pizza, but a memorable pizza in its own way in a humble place that makes you feel at home, even far from it.

"10 minutes" "Okay, otherwise I'll get organized and come back later" "No, no, it's early, there's no one here yet, they'll be right back") three embarrassing pizzas arrive. If I hadn't seen them being baked, I would have thought they were the frozen ones from the supermarket: dry, skimpy, with little toppings, not even one with a rounded shape. One of the worst pizzas I've eaten in years

28/07/2025: This is our second year back: every evening for dinner throughout our stay in the area. The restaurant offers an excellent selection of high-quality pizzas, but the dishes are also noteworthy and very reasonably priced. Aside from the various pizzas, this year we tried: local cheese appetizer, cold cuts appetizer, dumplings with beef goulash, venison with polenta and mushrooms, cutlet with chips, and purple potato gnocchi with saffron. All excellent value, and the staff are very friendly. Reservations are recommended.

25/08/2025: The best pizza in Canazei, hands down! The staff is very friendly and always available. The restaurant, in typical mountain style, is welcoming and spacious. The prices are fair, especially considering the Canazei area.
