28/12/2025: We stopped by for an afternoon merenda and enjoyed dessert with coffee. The staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming. I ordered the mousse alle castagne, which was really good and perfectly suited for a cozy afternoon treat. The atmosphere can get a bit noisy, but it didn’t take away from the experience. We still enjoyed our time there.

Its ground floor, formerly a bar and then a pub, has been converted into this intimate, well-appointed, and quiet restaurant. The food is good, and when I visited, it leaned toward traditional Roman cuisine. The service is provided by a mature couple, whose demeanor reflects extensive experience in the sector, but perhaps also a lackluster enthusiasm.

After the third forkful, I left the dish because it was inedible. As for the tagliata, we weren't asked how done it was, but it was overcooked and wasn't even let rest... It ended up being watery, with a mixture of cooking juices in the bottom and stringy. The bread was very rubbery. The water and wine arrived about 15 minutes after ordering, the bread just before the dishes. The waitress who served us was as friendly as the police after a drunk speeding. I think the owner, unlike everything else, was very kind. She apologized for the pasta and added that in Bolzano, ragù is made this way, and removed the dish from the bill, which in any case was salty compared to the pasta.

29/05/2026: My family and I had an amazing experience at La Torcia Italian Restaurant! The food was absolutely incredible, especially the pizza honestly the most delicious pizza we have ever had. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. The waitress was extremely kind, patient, and helpful with our language barrier. She took the time to help translate for us and made sure we felt comfortable the entire time. The service was excellent from beginning to end. What made the experience even more special was how welcoming everyone in the restaurant was. The entire staff greeted us warmly, and it truly felt like we were being welcomed like family. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for amazing Italian food and outstanding hospitality!

In the end, disheartened, I had to settle for the usual Milanese cutlet. There was something "good" there, but it wasn't on the menu. The website is inviting, but it's a shame it's only in the photos, but I can say I'm still craving it.
