04/05/2025: Of the best pizzerias in Palermo, I'm surprised they have such a low score. The pizzas have very homemade and typical Sicilian flavors, but I give the base of both the dough and the tomato sauce a 10/10. The service is super good, the prices incredible compared to other pizzerias here in Palermo that charge a lot and lack flavor.

01/06/2025: First review in my history, I'm a lazy guy and I don't write reviews. I've never had such a bad time anywhere as at Torquemada, so my experience must be told. An evening to forget. Very ugly place, infernal heat, insufficient air conditioning, this is just to start with. We sit down at 8pm, the mixed fried food arrives at 8:30pm, very badly cooked and together with a few bottles of tap water that tastes terrible. Bottled water only 0.5, why? The menu for the evening had already been decided, after the appetizer, pizzas were to be served in the center, various flavors, chosen by the diners, without a limit on quantity, the so-called "pizza tour". You don't see a pizza before 10:30 pm, two hours after the appetizer, during which we repeatedly urged the staff, almost begged them to bring us some pizza to start eating and satisfy our hunger, putting up with sarcastic and irritated responses from very rude waiters. Zero respect or care for the customer. The pizza was nothing special, badly cooked, the edges inedible, always burnt. Do you want some advice? Go elsewhere, Palermo is full of places where you eat well, managed by people who care about the customer and who respect him.

22/05/2025: I came on a trip with my class here in Palermo, to minimize the costs of the educational experience the school decided to choose this restaurant to go to for dinner every day. Leaving aside the terrible conditions of the place with plasterboard walls that wobbled at the touch, electrical wires exposed in full view and a closet from which a large number of waiters flowed at all times of the evening literally behind an open seat, the rest was even worse. I understand that it may be a different situation than usual to find twenty people all together in one evening and there may be setbacks, but when this situation has been known for days it is unacceptable to do a job like this. I will not list all the misfortunes of these evenings spent at the "Torquemada" but I will say the first things that come to mind: Food given to a paying clientele poor and with ridiculous portions. Mediocre and perpetually late service that often does not listen to requests. Basic products (like bread) that according to the staff members "are not enough for everyone" when they already knew very well what situation they would find themselves in. Hot tap water given to customers after asking the staff for a little more in addition to the 2 bottles for 12 people that were given at the beginning Furthermore, the food was clearly made and served to save as much as possible without taking into account the impressions of the customers, I do not want to mention the characteristics of the "cake" served because they put the fragile consistency of the wall in a bad light. I find all this absurd and untenable because as I have already said I realize it is difficult to manage an entire class in the evening but, since the restaurant has taken on this commitment, it is absolutely responsible for the result. The restaurant could be a good place for small groups but is strictly not recommended for larger groups that the restaurant does not know how to handle. A piece of advice for the members of the restaurant, do not take on responsibilities that you are not able to handle. For everyone else, do not go there if you have many friends.

23/05/2025: 😊 Free parking, close to the cathedral. good pasta. (Tomato and aubergine) 😔 Medium service. Impatient waitress. Dried veal. Old tomatoes in the “fresh” mixed salad. Olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt - from a bag. And there was no pizza.

22/05/2025: Good welcome, but the bill is indeed steep for basic food...60€ for a chop and a sausage to share, plus a plate of pasta for two, a small plate of caponata, two desserts, a glass of wine for two. Basic room also very expensive. 80€...A shame, compared to the squalid establishments frequented in Sicily.

09/05/2025: the food sucked. I have celiac disease and they didn't bring me what I wanted. When you call the waiters they don't answer or they pretend not to hear. They brought the food to me after an hour and a half, so don't go there because they will give you poison.

14/04/2025: You don't even deserve one star. You are pitiful and ashamed, you don't know how to work and have respect, shame on you. I placed an order on Saturday for half past 8 and it arrived at 10. Pizza was burnt and €5 worth of starters were missing. We called back and they didn't even apologize saying that if we wanted them we would have to wait longer. They told us that they would give us a €5 voucher to spend in the following days. We called yesterday, today and they had no chickens available and today they are closed casually. Without even arrogantly apologizing. I'll give you the €5 dead of hunger.

18/05/2025: Delicious pizzas; we've rarely eaten such good ones! 😍 A rather unusual restaurant for tourists. Huge pizza menu. Efficient service.

10/05/2025: Excellent pizza. Feel the goodness of the ingredients from the first bite. It has tables on the street, tables inside the veranda but my favorite place is on the first floor. Small space for a few. Magical atmosphere.

03/08/2024: Family-run place, very friendly staff, as soon as we arrived, without a reservation, on a Saturday evening they made us sit right away, plentiful starter, the pizzas arrived very quickly, a parmigiana and an old woman's face, excellent, they don't come with dough Neapolitan which is in fashion now, but thin and well cooked pizza. Modest prices, recommended

19/05/2025: We were invited to a communion, the place has a rustic and very simple but well-kept decor. The gluten-free food was horrible, pre-cooked pizza, and the quality of the pasta was terrible, it certainly wasn't rummo or barilla (obviously gluten free) and the service was very poor, I understand the confusion but the waiters didn't even want to live, I don't know if they are paid a pittance. Anyway, for an event I wouldn't go back.

06/04/2025: Cefalu, uno de los lugares más bonitos de Sicilia si no el mundo junto a un hermoso mar, un lugar perfecto para probar platos locales. Tuvimos un almuerzo excepcional comenzando con Caponata Siciliana, Pasta alla Norma y Pasta con Sarde, coronado con Fritto Misto. Excelente excelente excelente. Desde Cleveland con amor, alla prossima.

03/05/2025: Ormai è una certezza. A Cefalù non abbiamo bisogno di cercare altro. È da anni che il livello rimane alto, cibo di qualità e ottimi prodotti. Ottimo lo spaghetto alle vongole e la frittura mista. Prezzo nella media. Personale gentilissimo
