06/07/2026: There was a man sitting nearby having a video call with a prostitute on his phone. Our group was shocked and told our waiter, Carmelo, that this was completely unacceptable. He immediately handled the situation by moving the man a few meters away, which we greatly appreciated.
Overall, the food was very good, and Carmelo was an incredibly entertaining, warm, and generous waiter. He managed to turn around the atmosphere after the shameless behavior of that man and made it possible for us to enjoy the rest of our visit.
Thank you, Carmelo—you are the best!

We found La Napoletana just off the main drag in Taormina and were very glad we did!
The staff were so helpful and didn't bat an eyelid when we asked to share a starter and pizza (we were a little full after conducting extensive tests on the local gelatos 😋).
There were so many pizzas to choose from, including several we hadn't seen anywhere else. The food tasted so delicious and fresh. The staff were friendly and service was fast. Highly recommended!

02/05/2026: The best restaurant in Taormina, with exceptionally friendly service, a homey atmosphere, delicious food, and fresh fish—not so easy to find on this island. We're going back tomorrow. Plus, the view of Mount Etna—wonderful! I hope there are more places like this!

We're very sorry to have to give a negative review, but the dinner wasn't great. The food was decidedly awful: pasta was way overcooked, pizza was frozen, and a fish dish tasted like nothing.
12/07/2026: We ordered pizzas to take away to our hotel room next door. The pizzas were delicious and the view was amazing 😍🍕 The staff was very friendly as well! Strongly recommend.

01/07/2026: A disgrace to Italian cuisine. The risotto was overcooked, with rice swimming in old oil. The white wine was poor quality and barely chilled. Cars drove through the narrow alley, almost passing right through the plate. A typical tourist trap.
29/06/2026: I went to this restaurant for lunch and enjoyed excellent linguine with swordfish and fresh mint.

13/07/2026: We were refused a table by the railing on the terrace with the explanation that it was "for more people" (there were three of us, the table had four seats). Seats were then gradually assigned. And strangely, only two people were ever seated at each table.
Otherwise, it's extremely overpriced (just sitting there costs €5), but the view is still nice.
11/07/2026: The terror of celiacs. I've never seen such ignorance and poor service towards celiacs. There's almost nothing to eat, and they don't guarantee the absence of contamination. The staff clearly demonstrates a complete lack of training. I think this is unacceptable in 2026 for a restaurant of this caliber.

01/08/2026: Gluten free pizzas and pasta available - to start I had a gluten free focaccia loaded with fresh tomatoes; for main I had a gluten free spaghetti carbonara - the food was delicious! 4 stars given as we had to wait a little while for a table and when we did get one it was very cramped - in fairness we were a group of 6 and we didn’t pre book so in future we would book ahead. Lots of veggie options too and everyone in our group really enjoyed the food. I recommend the Etna Rosso red wine - very smooth and drinkable! We had complementary prosecco on arrival and I was given a separately packaged GF roll whilst the remainder of my group had fresh bread. Service was great and we would definitely recommend this place for coeliacs and those who are also dairy free and veggie / vegan!

16/06/2026: We came from the Hotel Olimpo, a nice spot for the beach.
However, the staff don't seem to enjoy their work. I think the girl behind the bar, in particular, is fed up with it🤨.
It's also a bit odd that you aren't allowed to choose which sunbed to take.
We only had lunch here, paninis. Fine, but not really melted well.
