02/01/2026: We visited the trattoria few days ago and we love the food. I am really glad that we could enter several minutes early, because it was really cold outside. We tried pasta, pizza, amazing Caprese with the most delicious mozzarella; Bombette - also good but too small portion for first course. The only thing that I don't like was the fact, that the waiter brings a plate with olives and bread on two other tables with Italian customers, but not to us.... Please, improve that!

18/01/2026: It was a truly excellent experience in every way. Tacos with mortadella and stracciatella to start... truly irresistible, and spectacular pizzas: light dough and top-quality ingredients. A huge plus also goes to the service: the waiter was extremely professional, kind, and always attentive to every detail. The location is simply stunning, perfect for a relaxing and, I'd even say, romantic evening, away from the chaos and ideal for enjoying dinner in complete tranquility. No waiting, well-organized service, and perfect timing between courses. To conclude, an incredible dessert that ended the evening in the best possible way. We'll definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

04/01/2026: We just happened to pop in as a couple. The restaurant is split between people who speak English and those who don't. Even those who don't make an effort to communicate. The vongole, steak, seafood salad, and sausage were all delicious. The vongole had a creamy sauce with a slight acidity that was very tasty. The sausage sauce was also very good. I highly recommend it.

11/01/2026: Everything is wrong with this place/pizzeria right now. Let's start with the assumption that they don't have a menu, but a useless and incomprehensible app. Plus, you can't make changes to the pizzas because they say "they're carefully selected ingredients, paired, etc." But if I have cured meats on my pizza, I won't eat them. I managed to convince the waiter to take the capocollo off, and in the end I noticed that I paid full price for the pizza anyway. I still lost out since the capocollo wasn't there, so I paid for it anyway, and the place made double the profit because they paid for the capocollo but didn't include it. To end this wonderful experience on a high note, after less than an hour of a quiet Thursday evening with the family, while we were finishing our humble dinner with dessert, the waiter (big, fat, and mean) approaches us, as my son called him, and tells us, "Gentlemen, there are people waiting for the table at the cash register." So I've never seen anything like this anywhere, and if it really has to happen, when I call you, you tell me I have an hour to eat, so I tell you I'm not coming at all! That's how this wonderful horror movie ended this evening. The place was noisy and cold, the pizza was average, but it arrived cold.

09/01/2026: The requirement to use an app to order a pizza whilst dining-in was very awkward, especially as a non-Italian speaker, but the staff were pleasantly helpful and also allowed me to customise slightly by adding toppings. The tuna pizza was amongst the best I've had! Overall, would really recommend

21/12/2025: Nothing to say about the food. The location is basic, nothing special. Service: terrible. Tables are being manned by four kids who would do better to do other things. Dear owner, I'd like to remind you of a saying: the customer is always right. It's not a rule, but if it has become a saying, I'd at least advise you to listen to what the customer has to say, not because they're necessarily right, but at least to challenge yourself, a way like any other to grow. Terrible experience. I strongly advise against it.

20/12/2025: The food was satisfactory, but the service was pretty terrible. Since smoking isn't allowed inside, three out of five people left and were called thieves because they were going to smoke. Everything was fine, but two people remained seated at the table. So it's easy to understand why no one attempted to escape.

09/02/2026: I don't know why I'm writing this review, I have nothing to say except that it's the best pizza in all of Taranto and maybe even the province.... Very digestible dough, light frying, excellent raw materials that you wouldn't expect from such a simple pizzeria.

02/10/2025: A great place for a quick, warm meal. The food is fresh, made on site, filling, and very good. I had the opportunity to try two kinds of pizza – both delicious. The service is friendly, attentive, and smiling, and you can communicate in Italian and English. Seating can be difficult later in the day due to the number of people who want to eat. I highly recommend this place.

15/09/2025: The location is very unique, nestled in a small park where there are other places to enjoy street food! The panzerotto is delicious! It's self-service, so you order, take it, and sit down.

05/12/2025: I'll start by saying this isn't a pizzeria I frequent regularly. I'm very proud of the contemporary pizza, but the classic remains the best. Excellent, digestible pizza, cooked to perfection. A must-try in the Taranto province.

The place is everything you could wish for: warm, welcoming, a delight for the eyes and a warm welcome for the heart, with a beautiful Christmas tree and fairy lights creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food is equally impressive: from the land to the sea, the freshest ingredients are of excellent quality. The dishes are varied, traditional, simple yet expertly executed. There's also a touch of common-sense innovation, free from the "oddities" and absurdities that others often offer. The host is a true gentleman from another era, welcoming you with the humanity of a good family man, making you feel at ease, empathetic, and discreet. The service is quick, efficient, and kind. What more could you ask for? An experience to repeat and highly recommended.

21/09/2025: A place to feel good – highly recommended I spent a few days at La Giara Risto Relais and can highly recommend my stay. As a single woman traveling alone, it was especially important to me to feel safe and well looked after – and that was exactly the case here from the very first minute. The room was exceptionally clean, tastefully furnished, and meticulously maintained down to the last detail. I also really liked the quiet, somewhat secluded location. Parking was available right next to the rooms. What made the stay special was the warmth of the hosts. The Italian mentality – open, warm, and familiar – was palpable at all times. I felt welcome, safe, and completely at home in every way. If you're looking for clean, quiet accommodations with genuine Italian hospitality, this is the place for you. I would love to come back.
