15/03/2026: Unfortunately, last night we had a table booked for the first sitting at 8 pm. The table was for 18 people, all of whom were from out of town. Because we were 20 minutes late, they took our table away, leaving us without it on a Saturday night where we didn't know where to go because it was completely full with 18 people, all of whom, I repeat, were from out of town, and with small children. Fair enough, to say the least.

01/03/2026: I stayed at Vecchio Frantoio for a few days while in Laterza for work, and I can say I made a truly excellent choice. The location is beautiful and welcoming, with meticulous attention to detail and perfect for both a relaxing dinner and an evening with friends. The staff has always been friendly, helpful, and attentive to customer needs, making me feel at ease from the moment I arrived. The food is truly excellent: you can choose from traditional dishes, pizza, fish, or meat. The menu is comprehensive and suitable for everyone, young and old, with quality options and generous portions. Highly recommended for those who want to eat well and enjoy traditional cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere. Reservations are appreciated and recommended. I will definitely be back!

11/01/2026: Everything is wrong with this place/pizzeria right now. Let's start with the assumption that they don't have a menu, but a useless and incomprehensible app. Plus, you can't make changes to the pizzas because they say "they're carefully selected ingredients, paired, etc." But if I have cured meats on my pizza, I won't eat them. I managed to convince the waiter to take the capocollo off, and in the end I noticed that I paid full price for the pizza anyway. I still lost out since the capocollo wasn't there, so I paid for it anyway, and the place made double the profit because they paid for the capocollo but didn't include it. To end this wonderful experience on a high note, after less than an hour of a quiet Thursday evening with the family, while we were finishing our humble dinner with dessert, the waiter (big, fat, and mean) approaches us, as my son called him, and tells us, "Gentlemen, there are people waiting for the table at the cash register." So I've never seen anything like this anywhere, and if it really has to happen, when I call you, you tell me I have an hour to eat, so I tell you I'm not coming at all! That's how this wonderful horror movie ended this evening. The place was noisy and cold, the pizza was average, but it arrived cold.

09/01/2026: The requirement to use an app to order a pizza whilst dining-in was very awkward, especially as a non-Italian speaker, but the staff were pleasantly helpful and also allowed me to customise slightly by adding toppings. The tuna pizza was amongst the best I've had! Overall, would really recommend

23/02/2026: What a fantastic find at Albarosa! The panzerotti are simply delicious, generously filled, crispy on the outside and meltingly soft on the inside. The pizzas are just as excellent, with perfect dough and high-quality ingredients. The service is top-notch: welcoming, quick, and always with a smile. The dining area is small, which makes it cozy, but reservations are highly recommended. Alternatively, takeout is also available and definitely worth the trip. I recommend this place without hesitation!

Every bite exudes flavor and authenticity, a sign of great attention to detail and tradition. The staff is friendly, fast, and always smiling, and the welcoming atmosphere makes dinner even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for both those who love the classic Margherita and those who want to try more unique flavors, and I recommend the Mario Rosé Tuna and Onion. Excellent value. 21/09/2025: A place to feel good – highly recommended I spent a few days at La Giara Risto Relais and can highly recommend my stay. As a single woman traveling alone, it was especially important to me to feel safe and well looked after – and that was exactly the case here from the very first minute. The room was exceptionally clean, tastefully furnished, and meticulously maintained down to the last detail. I also really liked the quiet, somewhat secluded location. Parking was available right next to the rooms. What made the stay special was the warmth of the hosts. The Italian mentality – open, warm, and familiar – was palpable at all times. I felt welcome, safe, and completely at home in every way. If you're looking for clean, quiet accommodations with genuine Italian hospitality, this is the place for you. I would love to come back.

24/02/2026: Informal and welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff. We ordered two puccias. The dough was very good, the puccia thin and crispy, and well-filled. I ordered a Flanders puccia with fior di latte tomatoes, arugula, and prosciutto, and I also added spicy mushrooms. The only flaw was the tomato, which was bland and characterless. Perhaps a little more oil and salt would have been great. The medium portion of potatoes was truly generous. If you haven't tried this pizzeria, it's worth a try, at least for the puccias.
