06/04/2026: Stopped off here on the way from Turin to Saasfee for some food and stumbled across this amazing oven baked pizza place. Pizza was delicious. Nice spot to sit and watch outside too.

06/04/2026: Great place and the pizzas are very good. Quick service. Perfect for a quick break, the ladies who run it are very friendly. We even tried the Nutella pizza, it was amazing! I recommend it 100%.

04/05/2026: The pizza was tasty and the daily special was reasonably priced. The service was okay, but not particularly friendly. The beer cost €6, which is quite expensive.

The professionalism, friendliness, and attentiveness of the waiter Andrea, who looked after us throughout the dinner, deserves special mention. We will definitely be back. 07/05/2026: On April 25th, we went with family to celebrate my sister's boyfriend's birthday. We knew this beautiful, historic place well, being local, and we wanted to try the new management. A disaster. In 40 years of my life, I've never had anything like this happen to me with any business, much less a restaurant. We booked at 1 PM and arrived on time. The four of us ordered: 1 pizza, 1 fried dish, 1 portion of French fries, 2 appetizers, including a salad and a seafood appetizer (classic cold octopus), followed by two first courses, a plate of ravioli and a plate of linguine with squid ink, water, and white wine (which I would have enjoyed with the linguine). Given that the restaurant seats 200, and that it was a beautiful day and was busy, this should never be passed on to the customer, under any circumstances. At 1:45 PM, the fries and appetizers arrived. After a 45-minute wait, the wine in the glass was already warm. At 2:00 PM, the mixed fried dish and the pizza arrived after an hour of waiting. At 2:20 PM, the two first courses arrived after a full hour and 20 minutes of waiting, and my first course was wrong. I waited 1.20 hours for the wrong dish. moreover. I politely tell the waitress, and she embarrassedly tells me she'll let the kitchen know. Meanwhile, more time passes and it's almost 2:40 PM, so I decide, since we've been there for almost two hours with only one salad eaten, to leave. We call the waiter and tell him, given the time, to close the bill and forget about these linguine after two hours. The problem isn't that it's Saturday, April 25th; I've happened to sit at the table on days like this in my life, but I'm eating. And here's the shocking scene we experienced and that everyone witnessed: The chef (also the restaurant owner, I think) comes out, agitated, with this plate of linguine. I kindly explain to him that two hours have passed, they made a mistake in the dish they brought out after an hour and a half, we've waited two hours for a plate of pasta, and I asked the waiter to close the bill and leave. Normally, given the reason, you apologize, offer something bitter, yes. He puts a stop to it. The chef starts yelling at us in front of all the other diners and tables, screaming at high speed that he's making a fool of himself, which came out 5 minutes later. What was he supposed to do with this linguine, etc.? Not only was he completely wrong, he was making a scene in front of everyone IN HIS RESTAURANT. We very calmly explained to him that he was making a fool of himself by yelling. In short, I've never experienced a situation like this, and I've never seen it in my life. Birthday ruined. An honorable mention goes to the service and the waiters, who are very fast, but evidently the problem is the kitchen or a bad day can happen. The review isn't so much for the extreme slowness of everything, but precisely for what happened. You have 200 seats, it's April 25th, it's a Saturday, it's the restaurateur's job to organize, the customer can't be affected, and then you always have to maintain a certain amount of restraint. Such scenes are unacceptable.

12/05/2026: We had an exquisite meal at La Volpe. As a discerning diner and connoisseur, this restaurant exceeded my expectations. We were warmly welcomed in an interior that exudes a warm allure. The staff had a genuine smile for everyone all evening and were constantly very attentive. The appetizers melted in our mouths with freshness. The fried and grilled fish and shellfish had a good bite and full flavor. The wine was not the most expensive on the menu, but of equally good quality. A delightful evening. We were spoiled and felt very special as guests. The restaurant surprised us greatly.

23/04/2026: I ate the best pizza there, "Frutti di Mare," and the staff is friendly and helpful! The road from Cannero is very, very narrow and should really only be used by drivers with mountain driving experience!

The staff was incredibly welcoming and made us feel like locals. If you're looking for real Italian pizza away from the tourist traps, this is the place to go!

02/06/2026: A fantastic restaurant! It's a nice place with good food, but what impressed me most was the quality of the pizza dough, which I found truly light and digestible. The atmosphere is very warm, and the staff is extremely friendly. The price is truly fair: a generously sized pizza, a medium red draft beer, and a craft liqueur, totaled €34. How many stars? I can't help but give it a perfect rating, because I can't find any flaws. As soon as I have the chance, I'll be back.

01/06/2026: A very pleasant surprise. My favorite restaurant in Stresa since tonight. The food was excellent, the service was very attentive. Andrea, the owner, is a guarantee in every way. And then, you can find the white myrtle. And can we talk about the wine list? And that white Genepy??? Superb dinner, the price was actually low for the quality of the ingredients and the attentive service. Well done, well done, well done!
