01/03/2026: A nice place in the center of Sondrio. The stone vaults are beautiful, but it's a shame there are no windows.
The staff is courteous, the à la carte menu is too extensive in my opinion, and the wine selection is limited, and all are basic.
I expected more choice, at least among the local ones.
Linguine with clams, cooked too long and lacking in flavor.
Abundant mixed fried fish, but unfortunately not very crispy.
Good Angus steak.
The girl at the cashier was kind enough to offer us an amaro.
Unfortunately, for me, based on average, this is a place I wouldn't return to.

14/03/2026: We had lunch at Il Focolare and the experience was truly positive.
The staff was super friendly and helpful throughout the meal. Another much-appreciated aspect is that dogs are allowed, which isn't always a given.
The kitchen offers sophisticated dishes, always rooted in the local area, using quality ingredients. The prices are absolutely in line with the quality of the dishes.
A small but very welcome detail: the homemade butter, truly excellent, adds an extra touch to the experience.
We had bresaola with scatt, pizzoccheri, and, to finish, polenta with wagyu.
Everything was truly delicious!

With quick and friendly service, we found good food.
Average prices and easy parking.

06/04/2026: I'm surprised by the positive reviews of this place... the food quality is quite low: raw pizzas with few toppings, VERY bad meat (and they even try to pass it off as Wagyu), sides like salad or rösti that are practically inedible... and to top it all off, the service is incredibly slow. I don't recommend this place at all; there are much better options nearby.

31/03/2026: We had booked as usual, arrived, and ordered drinks. After 5 minutes, they told us that in order to stay, we had to order food as well. We hadn't been told this beforehand. They didn't even let us speak to the manager. They treated us rudely, accusing us of not listening to them, and when we tried to find a civil solution, they threatened us with a surcharge. They treated us rudely and ultimately forced us to buy €136 for 3 pizzas, 5 Cokes, and 3 drinks without a receipt,
even without a cover charge. The staff was braggart, and, to top it off, the bathrooms were very dirty!!! They are truly uncooperative and untransparent.
31/03/2026: Excellent pizza and spaghetti with garlic, oil, and chili pepper!!!
The desserts are sublime; I recommend the Apollonia ice cream sundae with black cherries!
Qualified and excellent staff!

29/12/2025: We dined here twice during our vacation and were always very pleased. The service from all the girls was friendly, courteous, and efficient. My compliments to the wait staff. The food was good, the prices fair. We ordered both first and second courses, as well as pizzas, and everything was excellent. I recommend it.
26/12/2025: We found this place on our second-to-last day. We really enjoyed the dinner. The prices were reasonable, and everything we ordered was delicious. Compared to other places we'd visited in Livigno, Canoe was unbeatable! We returned for lunch.

18/11/2025: We arrived at a bad time for lunch... in the sense that they were closing the kitchen... the very friendly chef finally decided to let us eat only if we were happy with what was left... the service was fast and the waitress was very kind. The lunch was excellent, based on typical dishes. If we return to that area, I think we'll definitely go back.
