24/10/2025: So we stopped here on route from Milan to Chur in Switzerland. It’s a small bar on the road but, the coffee is good and the ice cream some of the best I’ve ever had. We had some yummy pizza too!
Service was excellent, very friendly and efficient! Defo recommend!

06/12/2025: We discovered this pizzeria thanks to a friend's recommendation, who recommended it for everything. We mostly come for pizza (the gourmet pizzas are a real specialty), and every time we return, we always have a fantastic experience! The staff is very friendly, the place is small but cozy and well-maintained, and as mentioned above, the food is absolutely wow! If I could give more stars, I'd gladly do so, but the limit is 5, so I'll settle for less. I hope many more people discover this lovely place and come try their amazing pizzas. The cellar remains and will ALWAYS remain a must-have!

30/08/2025: Every year I spend two weekends in Santa Caterina and every year I come to eat here!! Everything is delicious!! The staff and owner are wonderful!! Last time I was shocked by the pork and lamb shanks!! AMAZING!! And the pizza is worth it too!!

24/11/2025: A pleasant surprise, they have several typical dishes from Valtellina's rural culture.
In addition to the classic pizzoccheri, I discovered Taroz and Tzogoiner, which I hadn't heard of.
Everything was delicious.
The welcome and service were simple but very familiar, making you feel at ease.
29/09/2025: We went to the Vecchia Carbonera for two evenings, a group of 14. I booked and agreed on a menu with Mr. Franco, an excellent person and a true restaurant professional. On Friday evening, two people were quite late, but he prepared the requested dishes on the spot, demonstrating his helpfulness and courtesy towards the customer. A gesture greatly appreciated.
The recommended menu was excellent, featuring local dishes from pizzoccheri and sciat to tortelli with bitto cheese and bresaola. The grilled meat on a stick was a fabulous dish.

15/06/2025: Excellent pizza, very good even the next day. We took the whole trays to celebrate a birthday! Perfect choice because they made many types of pizza within the same size. Very helpful and kind staff. Highly recommended!

24/10/2025: I've been frequenting this restaurant for years because I appreciate the quality of the food and the attention to detail. The menu changes regularly and offers a good selection of first courses, meat and fish main courses, and even excellent pizzas! The desserts are the icing on the cake! Congratulations!

12/12/2025: Very average experience overall. The food was mediocre, the service was poor, and they even forgot the order for one person in our group. It’s not expensive, but it’s not cheap either. €15 for a weak burger — honestly, you’re better off adding a few more euros and eating somewhere else.

16/11/2025: A charming and quaint place, ideal for those stopping for lunch or dinner after or during a day of skiing. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, and the service is very fast. The reason for the 3 stars is that, despite the good value, the food isn't exactly "exciting." As mentioned above, it's excellent for those who want a quick bite.

21/10/2025: The pizza was tasty, but the service was very unfriendly and arogant. We visited this pizzeria for the second time in about two years, and both times there were issues with the staff. Maybe they’re only like this with tourists — I don’t know — but based on other reviews, it seems that more customers have had problems with the unfriendly and unprofessional service. Unfortunately, it ruins the whole experience and makes it hard to enjoy the good pizza. Once again, we were convinced that it’s better to go somewhere else than to come here and have the food and the evening completely spoiled.
05/10/2025: The service was not rude but joyless - we arrived for lunch and were told ‘only pizzas today’. The crust of the pizza was very tasty and fragrant but the pizzas themselves were salty and toppings lacked flavour. However the place was clean and seats were comfortable and it is conveniently located.
