This "snack something" was added to our receipt for €6.50. Throughout my life and in any business when I have ordered a drink and been asked if I "would like to nibble on something" (be it chips, peanuts OR PIZZA) it has obviously always been understood as a service offered with the drink and therefore FREE. Otherwise I would have explicitly ordered two beers and a slice of pizza.

Davvero ottime le materie prime, il gusto e la quantità, molto bene il servizio ed il locale che è stato rinnovato con gusto. Ci torneremo sicuramente

28/10/2024: We are so thankful for Hotel Riviera! Long story: my wife & I were driving a rental car along Tremezzo area, when we encountered two flat tyres at 12 midnight! Called the towing service, and they said they can only tow the next day since it was a Sunday. So we were basically stuck the whole night, and our b&b was at the other side of the lake (1hr 30 minutes drive). We had to scramble for a overnight stay. In desperation, we went to every hotel along the road to find a last minute accommodation, until we found Hotel Riviera. We rang the intercom and the owner, Andrea answered. Thankfully he is fluent in English. Even though he was already getting ready to sleep, he offered us a room for the night. Room is cosy, bed is comfortable & the toilet had heated flooring after a good shower! The next day, we met Andrea in the breakfast area. Andrea & his dad are one of the sweetest & kindest people we met in our Italy trip! He prepared breakfast for all his hotel guests. He happened to be friends with the towing person! He even helped to coordinate with him so that we can have our breakfast before heading to the towing spot. We are just so glad that we survived this situation & thankful for Andrea & his dad! 1 star for the rental car. But 5+ stars for Hotel Riviera! HAHA

21/10/2024: Restaurant located in a strategic position on the lake shore in Griante. The staff is friendly and helpful, the dishes (polenta with braised meat and sliced ​​venison) are excellent. To return!

28/09/2024: I would like to point out that this review of mine refers to my (last) experience in this pizzeria dated 07/27/2024. Speaking of the quality of the pizza: decidedly lower than the other times I had it, as it was burnt in various places, too crunchy and with little seasoning, therefore rejected compared to the past (because I WAS a regular customer, once every 7 /10 days). And this alone would be enough to justify 1 star. But the reason for this review of mine is another, because it can happen to anyone to make a mistake with a pizza once. Well, the white 4 cheese in this pizzeria costs €8.50, having already bought it several times as mentioned in the previous weeks and months. On that fateful 07/27/2024 I arrived at around 7pm (pizzeria opening, so it was just me) to take it away and eat it at home. In the meantime I pay, and provide 15 euros in CASH (a 10 and a 5 banknote) to the owner Mr. Arturo (who, unlike the other times, does not even say the price to pay), to pay for my pizza 8.50. My mistake, because if something costs 8.50, why do I have to give 15 euros (10+5)? Wasn't it enough to give the 10 note? I repeat, my mistake, I was lost in thought and tired because I had had a working day of almost 11 hours. Having said that, Mr. Arturo gives me 2.50 euros per coin as change (so I paid 12.50 for the pizza). At first I think that within 10 days the pizza has increased by 4 euros (from 8.50 to 12.50), very strange I would say. Anyway, I take the pizza (bad and not good) and eat it at home. About an hour later, out of curiosity, I go to look at the receipt, and I see that it says that the pizza was paid 8.50, and not actually 12.50 (15 provided by me from which the 2.50 change he gave me must be subtracted) . At which I get angry, and very angry. At first I think, to justify Arturo, that he didn't see the 5 banknote that I gave him (impossible anyway, because when he was at the house and I gave him the two banknotes, he put them both away and hesitated for a moment in choosing the change to give me, as if surprised by my move) and who gave me the change as if I had only provided him with 10 euros. In reality, this hypothesis of mine is also false, because then he should have given me 1.50 euros in change, and not 2.50, as he instead did. This means it was all voluntary and researched. So here is the "crafty" thing (so as not to use other much more weighty but suitable terms). But it didn't end here. Because at the bottom of the receipt it says "payment by debit card". Here, as I already said above, everything instead took place with cash payment. Again as evidence of the voluntariness and awareness of the cunning that Mr. Arturo did towards me. All of this, we specify, to earn 4 euros more on a customer's 4 cheese white. 4 euros. A historic and renowned pizzeria in Como. It seems absurd and inexplicable to me at the very least, so as not to use other terms. I then did not return to ask Mr. for explanations. Arturo, receipt in hand, regarding the payment of the pizza, both because an hour later, in my opinion, it would have made no sense, and because for 4 euros I won't go bankrupt (instead to some it seems that they are more than convenient....) . In conclusion, it is obvious that I will never return to this pizzeria again, both for the absurd story I have just told and because, above all, the quality of the pizza had really dropped in recent times. Mr. Arturo earned 4 euros more once, but he lost a regular customer (I'm sure he won't sleep at night about losing a customer like me), who will spread this story around and say a very bad word about the pizzeria and on the person
