09/04/2025: Good pizza and plentiful first courses and fish dishes, discreet and fast staff. A little dated but still nice atmosphere

30/03/2025: Ate excellent fish at a super honest price. I advise against showing up without having booked.

23/03/2025: Two cocktails served without ice during aperitif time. Only when we asked were we told it had run out. Considering they cost €10 each, at the very least customers should be warned.

22/03/2025: Central location behind the Duomo Di Alba, few paid parking spaces, convenient for those on foot, restaurant with covered outdoor tables, classic interior. Open until late in the evening, excellent for spending an evening with a coffee, a digestive and an ice cream. Put it is useful if you liked the review. 24/03/2025: I had a great time, Elisa at the counter is very kind and very nice, she allowed us to taste different focaccias typical of the area, I highly recommend trying the rice cake.

23/03/2025: Went for the first time as a guest at a party, found it well, as a starter a round of pizza with various fillings, as a first course trofie with seafood and pansoti with walnut sauce, second courses mixed fried fish and roast with salad. Excellent pizzas with a light dough and good filling (personally I really liked the one with nduja), good seafood trofie and good roast.

17/03/2025: I went to this beautiful place and we had two stuffed focaccias, a coke and an orange juice. Very kind, great service, I really recommend it.

16/03/2025: Excellent idea to go and eat pizza at this place. Simplicity of the past, the environment. But the pizza was really good and rich. In reality I had already eaten for lunch, so the cuisine is also absolutely worth it, with traditional Genoese dishes. We returned after a long time and reconfirmed the opinion.

12/04/2025: The best gluten-free pizza in the world! 200% gluten-free with a dedicated kitchen just for that. The chickpea flour crust is incredibly fluffy and tastes amazing. Even the regular pizza is delicious—you honestly can’t tell the difference. Unbeatable value for money. Thank you!

02/02/2025: Intimate, warm and welcoming restaurant, tasty typical sea and land dishes! There are owls everywhere, more or less funny, of all shapes, very characteristic! Marco is a very good chef, the love and passion he puts into his dishes can be felt in the taste! I recommend trying its first courses and the owl appetizer, you will be amazed! The thin pizzas with soft dough, very seasoned (with one you are satisfied, especially seafood!) with a nice draft beer, which went down very well. Homemade desserts, delicious meringue and tiramisu. Despite the many people on Saturday evening, the staff was able to manage the service as best as possible. We feel satisfied, enjoyed and with a full belly. We will definitely return to eat at Il Gufo!

12/01/2025: We have just had a dinner for 14 people for approximately 270 euros, excellent if not perfect service and food, we have always been customers of this place, but I must point out a significant detail, the NEW owner. This evening before we even had coffee they turned off the hot air conditioner, we wouldn't have had a problem if it hadn't been that there was a hole in the glass door and we were cold, plus with a 2 month old baby. When my mother asked the owner for explanations, they were: "I thought you were hot" and "I thought he was leaving". Now, unfortunately or fortunately, I have worked for several years in the catering sector as a waitress and in any case, on principle, customers are expected to leave the table before turning everything off, unfortunately it was just a ploy by the owner to send us away, a big It's a shame because the service and cuisine were impeccable as always and what's more I have always come to eat here for years and always in large numbers, I even come from La Spezia to eat here and unfortunately after this experience we will be forced not to come here again. I feel sorry for the girls to whom I would have gladly left a tip but after this well served it didn't seem appropriate.

21/03/2025: We eat really well. Last time Gnocchi alla sorretina cooked as they are made on the coast, non-fried stools with really good cured meats. Tonight I changed, spaghetti with seafood... Good, my partner always ate the gnocco alla sorrettina. I tried good tiramisu, homemade dessert. Next time we will try the pizza and other desserts. In my opinion, it's worth a try because it really deserves value for money

18/03/2025: Really excellent pizza, one of the best we've tried recently: congratulations! The service is punctual, precise and super kind: thank you! The only flaw, which can be resolved, was encountered at the time of payment: POS line not available... obligation to pay in cash. Let it be clear that we do not blame the disservice on the managers but, perhaps also due to the fact that now more and more often when it comes to paying we are told that the POS is unusable, we have now come to the conclusion that the saying "where there is a will, there is a way" applies here too: if the line doesn't work, always or when it rains, something must be done; there are various technological means that overcome connection difficulties (starting with FWA technology, now offered by everyone, from Eolo to Vodafone. If we hadn't found the cash, how would we have paid? Bank transfer? Or trip to the nearest ATM? I repeat: excellent service and pizza, we will return, but being left hanging at the moment of payment is never pleasant.
